Phony Tea Party Scam?

Don’t know about you, but I get calls almost on a daily basis to contribute to a conservative organization, or one claiming to be conservative. Some of which I’ve never heard of. Being skeptical of phone scams, and knowing that democrats have no boundaries to what they will try to do, I’m making it a habit now to verify for myself that the organization calling me is legit, regardless if I choose to make a donation.

For example, I just got a call from a guy supposedly representing a group called Tea Party Leadership. After hearing the common sales pitch about Obama’s misguided administration, the question ends up with ‘can we count on you for a $100 donation today? Or $75?’

To which I followed with a question of my own. Does your organization have a website? Yes, he said. It’s www.teapartyleadership.com. I thanked him, hung up, and tried the address. Doesn’t exist.

Raising my suspicion that it is a scam probably run by a left-wing group lying about who they are to siphon money from conservatives for their own attack machine. I could be wrong. But I doubt it. It’s also possible that scammers are trying the same thing to conservatives and liberals. Who knows?

Being dishonest like that just doesn’t live in a conservative’s mind, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see the Left exploit that. And probably is. Kind of like the way some people prey on unsuspecting senior citizens. And I realize that just having a website isn’t verification of their legitimacy either. This guy just didn’t plan ahead for such a question.

There is a need for a way to combat this kind of fraud and to insure that your conservative dollars are going to the conservative cause you expect. If someone wants to start a list, you can put teapartyleadership.com on the list.

Where’s The Outrage?

A day after an Islamic jihadist beheaded a Brit in an unprovoked attack in broad daylight, the political correctness has taken over reality yet again.  Don’t tie it to Islam, although it is a terrorist attack, we are told. BS. It is inextricably tied to Islam. And Islam needs to fix it. It can begin in the Mosques. They can have sensitivity training to teach potential jihadists that there is no war on Islam. And people of other religions are not an enemy of Islam. And despite what the Koran says, it is against Islam to subjugate or kill non-believers.

I have yet to see any evidence that a so-called war on Islam exists, as is claimed by this piece of shit with a knife and cleaver in his blood-soaked hands. By all accounts in news that I’ve seen, there is a war on so-called infidels, aka non-believers of Islam, going on. And that’s not an exaggeration. That’s what they profess. And this is what they do.

Seeing this picture brings up all kinds of frustration with PC and anger for the ‘tolerance’ of it. It is reported that this terrorist’s accomplice had a handgun. Brits are not allowed to carry handguns. So, the law-abiding citizens are prey to the criminals and terrorists that have them.

My gut reaction to punish these murderers had me thinking of something particularly gruesome, and appropriate for the cruelty he drawn-and-quarteredinflicted upon that innocent victim. Tractor pulls came to mind; with the criminal tied between two tractors with a rope on one leg and the other around his neck. Upon discussing this method of execution with a history buff, he suggested drawn and quartering, like used to be done centuries ago. Ropes tied to each of the four limbs of the condemned, and four horses attached to each rope. Upon direction then running ‘off’ in four different directions. Brilliant idea befitting the crime. The condemned wouldn’t die immediately by ripping his head off. Instead, he would have a little time to ponder his demise in pain. And, it’s environmentally friendly. No fossil fuels to burn to get the job done.

Fortunately for the terrorists, current laws don’t allow such forms of execution. With all the attention paid to ‘fairness’ in recent years, don’t you think a little fairness in execution is in order? And instead of doing it in the public square or in the middle of the street, make it a pay-per-view event. Use the proceeds to protect our Embassies abroad and enhance security at home. Being a little pragmatic about the whole idea, and in anticipation that such a suggestion for use of the proceeds might not sit well with some, I would concede to use the proceeds to fund Planned Parenthood instead of the federal funding it is taking from taxpayers. Funding Planned Parenthood with the proceeds would be an added incentive to track them down. I could see that getting bi-partisan support.

OK, I feel better now. Just trying to be helpful.

Democrat Politicizes OK Tornado

It didn’t take long for the knee to jerk and a Democrat to politicize a tragedy. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) took to the Senate floor to scold Republicans for being deniers of man-made global warming, that caused the tornado that devastated Moore, Oklahoma.pulling_hair_out

Driven by the need to control everything, up to and including the world, people like Sen. Whitehouse believe that they can change the global temperature by moving vast amounts of money from one part of the earth (ours) to another.

But wait! There’s more! If you’re old enough to remember, the cause celeb for liberals in the 70’s was global cooling.

In 1975, “scientists” were warning of the coming ice age and blaming tornado outbreaks on global cooling. What?

Gov’t Wages War On Opposition Party

You would be making a mistake to say that President Obama is the Commander-in-Chief of this war against Conservatives and Republicans. His fingerprints are not there.

All this IRS and DOJ abuse is indicative of the appointment of fellow travelers in those departments. A day after the head of the National Treasury Employees Union, Colleen Kelley, was at The White House, the IRS began to single out Tea Party organizations. What we are witnessing is Liberalism, capital L, pure and simple.

The answer is not impeaching Obama. The answer is repeating in 2014 and 2016 what we did in 2010. Taking the White House and replacing the department heads. Not to do to them what they did to us. But to get government back to doing what it should be doing. The Liberal infestation in government needs to be exterminated.

It was Obamacare that spawned Tea Party opposition all across the country. It was the shellacking Democrats got in the 2010 mid-terms that shocked them into gear. Using government agencies to stop, if not suppress the competition was at play leading up to the 2012 election. Conservative non-profits were denied, through years of foot-dragging by the IRS, a chance to form and mobilize. Conservative donors were being audited by the IRS, Dept. of Labor, and EPA. While progressive non-profits got approved within weeks, whether they had a physical address or not.

Because of this, the President can claim ignorance. He wasn’t told. Oh how awful it was he will say. And he’ll also say that he’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again. That’s the M.O.

With every State, House, and Senate election from now until 2016, just make sure “we don’t get fooled again.”

Whether this is a smoking gun remains to be seen. But see if you can connect any dots.

According to the White House Visitors Log, provided here in searchable form by U.S. News and World Report, the president of the anti-Tea Party National Treasury Employees Union, Colleen Kelley, visited the White House at 12:30pm that Wednesday noon time of March 31st.

The White House lists the IRS union leader’s visit this way:

In White House language, “POTUS” stands for “President of the United States.”

The very next day after her White House meeting with the President, according to the Treasury Department’s Inspector General’s Report, IRS employees — the same employees who belong to the NTEU — set to work in earnest targeting the Tea Party and conservative groups around America. The IG report wrote it up this way:

April 1-2, 2010: The new Acting Manager, Technical Unit, suggested the need for a Sensitive Case Report on the Tea Party cases. The Determinations Unit Program Manager Agreed.

In short: the very day after the president of the quite publicly anti-Tea Party labor union — the union for IRS employees — met with President Obama, the manager of the IRS “Determinations Unit Program agreed” to open a “Sensitive Case report on the Tea party cases.” As stated by the IG report.

Isn’t that special?

Dems Don’t Want Immigration Reform

Want proof that Democrats don’t want ‘Immigration Reform?’  Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt. will tell you. He added a provision conferring benefits to same-sex partners to the Gang of 8’s proposed bill.

Sen. Rubio doesn’t want it. I don’t want their brand of Immigration Reform either. But for a lot of different reasons.

Adding the hairy ass amendment to an immigration bill is designed to keep ‘immigration reform’ as a campaign issue. That’s what the Democrats want. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have included such an irrelevant and controversial topic into the bill.

You can bet that any bill that is ‘comprehensive’ isn’t going to be good. And by comprehensive, I mean all-encompassing, all law, with none of the components debated and none of the components prioritized. The Affordable Health Care Act is an example of the consequences of hastily rushing legislation through, especially when you have lawmakers that can not be trusted. And for good reason. For example, this administration will allow the AHCA to remain after ‘discovering’ that none of what it was promised to do when it was being ‘sold’ to Americans has happened. Instead, it has made everything it was supposed to improve get worse. Much worse.

THIS is what immigration reform should look like, and how it should be implemented.

FairTax, The Right Alternative

Under the FairTax, all the controversy in the news today, from IRS abuse, to tax favors, to tax punishments, will disappear. Gone! The immense size of the IRS? Gone! The immense cost of compliance to taxpayers? Gone!

The term “take home pay” becomes obsolete. No more federal deductions. You take home everything you make. Can you handle that? Oh, and April 15th becomes just another day in paradise.

Under the FairTax, other terms like “tax exempt status” and “mortgage deduction” also become obsolete. Under the FairTax, no contributions you make or receive are taxable. And since your mortgage payment will now be made in ‘pre-tax’ dollars, you have nothing to deduct your mortgage interest payments from.

All the taxes you and businesses are paying now? Gone! What’s left is a simple, transparent, and fair consumption tax. Period. Fair to individuals and business. The FUD factor disappears. Business and individual investment decisions no longer include factoring in the Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt about tax consequences because those decisions become tax neutral.

The motivation to shelter trillions of dollars offshore disappears. That money can stay right here and be put to work without any tax penalty. All by itself, the FairTax is an economic stimulus that doesn’t involve spending, borrowing, or increasing the national debt.

The FairTax is the means to fund the government whose time has come.

No Tom Perez, No Labor Union Secretary

In yet another attempt to serve up his quid pro quo to Big Labor, Thomas Perez is President Obama’s choice for Labor Secretary. But what he is really after is a Labor Union Secretary. Foisting labor unions on the 89 percent of workers who are not union members and that don’t pay forced-union dues is his nirvana. It completes the circle of money laundering between Big Labor and Democratic campaign contributions.

Union bosses count on Barack Obama’s bureaucracy to serve as an organizing arm for Big Labor.

That’s why they know pro-forced unionism Thomas Perez is just the man for the job to be Barack Obama’s next Secretary of Labor.

A recent article in the Washington Free Beacon exposes yet another power grab Obama’s Department of Labor bureaucrats have implemented to grease the skids for forced unionization of American workers.

You see, when the DOL’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) conducts workplace inspections, workers may select one of their own to observe.

Now, for the first time ever, Obama’s OSHA has advised union bosses that they too can observe these inspections, even in nonunion workplaces.

Union operatives would get automatic access to company property and an opportunity to browbeat workers with union-boss propaganda.

Once the Obama Administration has let Big Labor in the door, union bosses could make frivolous accusations of safety violations to try to get the company to sell out its workers with a “card check” agreement.

Over the last four years, the Obama Administration has implemented one behind-the-scenes sweetheart deal after another to make it easier for union bosses to ensnare workers into forced-dues-paying ranks.

Progs In Denial Over Benghazi

So there I was this morning, listening to Media Matters Radio on the Talk Left channel on XM radio. It’s a good place to go to see what’s in their head. They don’t hold back. Sort of like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. For today’s exercise, it didn’t take long to see that ‘there’s no there there.’

If it were not for FOX News, they wouldn’t have a show. Maybe I started listening in the middle of the demonize FOX hour. Not sure. But media_matters_radiothe subject was Behghazi and how Republicans are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Essentially agreeing with EVERYTHING President Obama has said on the subject, except one that garnered no mention.

Where they dwell, Obama isn’t soft on terrorism. In fact, on his first mention of the Benghazi attack, he said the word terrorism, albeit in a general sense, so, yes, Obama said that the Benghazi attack was a terrorist attack. That’s good enough for them. They berated FOX anchors and FOX contributors for asking why no help was sent, where Obama was on the night of the attack, what he did on the night of the attack, and why there was no photographic evidence that Obama was involved in the crisis management one would expect to see in such an instance? And the biggie, by wanting to know what Obama was doing on that night, Republicans are trying to attach blame for the attack to him.

They were fine with Sec. of Defense Panetta’s statement that he called the President and that he (Obama) was kept abreast of the situation. So for FOX to ask those questions was just stirring up a political attack. Sore losers and all that. As I recall, Panetta made that call late afternoon or early evening of the 11th. The fight at the consulate went on for over eight hours after that call was made. And as far as anyone outside The White House knows, that was the last communication to the President on the subject. You would think that the Progs might have figured that something isn’t right about that. Apparently not.

I think they were all fair questions to ask based on experience. President Obama seemed eager to let the world see him in the situation room while he was killing a Muslim, bin Laden. If he were at least as involved on September 11, 2012, why do you think he didn’t want to be seen trying to save four Americans? Could it be because he chose to do nothing instead of something? We all know that no help was sent. We know that people closest to them were told to stand down. Although we don’t yet know who, as in a name, gave those orders. We all, except for the Progs, want to know why? That’s not creating a political smear campaign. That’s just wanting to know the truth of what happened.

They also never got around to the testimony, under oath, that State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland didn’t want any reference to alQaeda, or terrorist attack, or earlier warnings, as was in the CIA’s initial report, to be in their final version, for political reasons like an upcoming election.

The early versions of the talking points, drafted entirely by the CIA, included references to the al Qaeda affiliate Ansar al-Sharia and to previous CIA warnings about terror threats in Benghazi. State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland expressed concerns about including those references in the talking points.

In one email, previously reported by ABC News, Nuland said that including the CIA warnings “could be used by Members [of Congress] to beat the State Department for not paying attention to Agency warnings so why do we want to feed that? Concerned …”

Translation: for political reasons, delete all references of the truth of what actually happened.

obama_clinton_benghazi_videoOddly enough (not really), the one thing that Obama said that the Progs on today’s show totally ignored was that he also said, for weeks after and to the United Nations, that the attacks were a result of a “demonstration” by a crowd that was pissed off because of a cartoon video mocking Islam. Somehow, they never got around to reconciling that lie. Why? Because the perpetration of that lie by Obama himself ties him to the attack and the subsequent cover-up. That’s why.

Somehow, the Progs on talk radio don’t see a need to find the truth of what happened, despite the fact that the American people and the relatives of four dead Americans were lied to for political considerations. Instead, the meme is Republicans are on a political witch hunt. Apparently, they are OK with the lies. Especially for political manipulation weeks before a Presidential election. “Whatever it takes” is their moral standard.

The media bought him the time he needed to dodge the truth until after the election by parroting The White House’s talking points. Now, they’re trying to save face by appearing to be inquisitive. That’s all a show too. The election is over and the cow is out of the barn.

Colorado Sheriffs File Suit Against New Gun Laws

In a bi-partisan effort, all but 10 of Colorado’s 64 county sheriffs have signed onto a lawsuit aimed at blocking the Democratic gun control measures passed by the state legislature and signed into law by Gov. John Hickenlooper back in March.

sheriffs_sue_coloradoJoining the Sheriffs in the civil rights lawsuit, supported by the Independence Institute, are disabled people, Outdoor Buddies (a charitable organization for disabled people), licensed firearms dealers, Magpul, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the Colorado State Shooting Association, the Colorado Outfitters Association, Colorado Youth Outdoors, and Women for Concealed Carry, according to a press release from the Independence Institute.

This press conference gives a good snapshot of why these new laws, effectively written by New York’s Mayor Michael (Nanny) Bloomberg, are ineffective, unenforceable, and unconstitutional. The product of laws written by emotion and without deference to the Constitution.

One Sheriff in favor of the law, Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson, highlights the disconnect between logic and emotion. Keeping in mind that every law enforcement officer takes an oath to abide by and support the Constitution, Robinson said back in January . . .

“Public safety professionals serving in the executive branch do not have the constitutional authority, responsibility, and in most case, the credentials to determine the constitutionality of any issue,” Robinson said in the statement. “Law enforcement officials should leave it to the courts to decide whether a law is constitutional or not.”

Oh really? And the point of the oath is . . . ?

Because of the sensational media coverage of gun crime, including the Sandy Hook and Aurora massacres, the public erroneously believes that gun crime is up and out of control. These lawmakers want you to believe that these laws would have prevented such shootings, which they would not. The gun control lobby would also have you think that the criminals get most of their guns through the ‘gun show loophole,’ aka private citizen transfer. They don’t.

According to a DOJ survey, private transfers at gun shows account for only 2% of guns obtained and used in crimes. “About 10 percent said they purchased their gun from a retail shop or pawn shop, 37 percent obtained it from family or friends, and another 40 percent obtained it from an illegal source.” The only thing that is out of control is the gun grabbing industry that continue to attack the Second Amendment on emotional grounds. According to the DOJ’s own statistics, gun ownership is way up. AND violent gun crime is way down. That trend is over the last 18 years and continuing.
