Notice there are no ads, no pop-ups. But the main point I want to make here is that your participation in making Comments to a post is welcome. All posts will have a comment link for your use. Just please keep it civil, on-topic, and legal. Thank you for visiting The Lunch Counter. Where your opinion, one way or the other, is welcome.

To make things even more interesting, there is a feature here in the sidebar that I call Drive-By Comments. It shows the last five comments input by users, all of which can be browsed by you. Like other comments, you don’t have to be a registered user, and you don’t have to use your real name if you don’t want to. But what makes them drive-by comments is that they show up immediately after you enter it. And you can ‘post’ your comment by clicking on the link that says ‘» add yours.’ Comments there are not attached to any specific post. Got something to say in general? This might be the place to do it.

Users / commenters can be anonymous if you wish. You may rest assured that users who are anonymous will stay that way. Unless of course they out themselves.

  1. Please use all forums responsibly by avoiding posting what most people would deem as obscene. Violators may be banished for a period of time, including forever.
  2. We all expect civility. Some topics can be emotional, be prepared to focus on the arena of ideas and not the messenger. In other words, you’re not being civil if you end up calling someone names. It’s a supreme violation of net etiquette to be a jerk. There are places where you can go to be one, but this isn’t one of them.

Lastly, I’m open to suggestions concerning the website or the forums. I have fun with it and hope you do too. To submit your comments, suggestions, and feedback please use the comment form below. Thanks again!
