Who Would Lie To Save An Election?

After hearing the cacophony of Democrats in Washington over the Benghazi hearings, starring the person in charge, Sec. of State Hillary Clinton, a few facts are clear.

Setting the stage to not ignore history, the attack on the Consulate that ended in the deaths of our Ambassador and three other Americans, happened two months before the 2012 Presidential election.

Security conditions in Benghazi had been getting worse to the extent that the U.N. and other countries had left their Consulates because of it. The U.S.. Consulate was the only one that remained.

During that summer, the same U.S. Consulate was attacked. Also during the months preceding the September 11, 2012 attack, Ambassador Stevens had requested better security because of the escalation of terrorist attacks in Benghazi. The Arab Spring quickly turned into the Arab Winter.

Also during this same time, President Obama’s re-election campaign was in operation. During this time, President Obama was telling us that al-Qaeda was on the run. Remember VP Biden’s line? “Bin Laden is dead, GM is alive.” The meme, as echoed by the media, was that terrorism was in decline. When the truth was the opposite. They were on the run alright, but not from us, to us.

Today’s hearing revealed that Sec. Clinton knew on the night of the attack that it had nothing to do with a video. She said as much to the newly elected president of Egypt, Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Morsi, the day after the attack. After all, through her Deputy Chief of Staff, Huma Abedin Weiner, the nearly familial relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood was there, for all to ignore.

Of 63 leaders who make up the Muslim Sisterhood – which is essentially nothing more than the female version of the Brotherhood – we learned that Huma’s mother, Saleha, was one of those leaders. Little attention has been paid to the other 62 leaders, however. One of them is Najla Ali Mahmoud, the wife of Mursi. Both are members of the Guidance Bureau, which proves fallacious, the claim that Najla is just an innocent and naïve spouse.

After the attack, what flows from the Obama administration and his State Department, is the lie about how the attack was attributed to a “disgusting video.” The lie was perpetuated at the United Nations, and continued through the election. With the help of the Obamamedia, nothing stuck to the two people responsible. Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. The two of them went so far as to make a video of their own to perpetuate the lie broadcast to people in Pakistan.

The other thing that is clear is how right Elijah Cummings, D-MD, was when he said this hearing is political. That’s because the lies about the event under investigation were blatantly political. Which was, to keep the truth of his and Sec. Clinton’s agenda and campaign of deceit from the American people until at least after the election. Where four Americans under her purview were left with no protection and no rescue attempts made. After all, to quote Mrs. Clinton, “It is a subject that we are absolutely required to explore.”

Obama and Clinton lied. And four Americans died. And the lie lasted well past the November election. You bet it’s political, on their part. To save his re-election in 2012 and her election in 2016.

No Free Pass In Politics

One thing is certain. If it happens in Washington, or anywhere there is an elected official, it is political. Politician, politics, political. Get it?

That’s not to say that anything or everything political is bad, good, or acceptable. The difference between what’s bad and what’s good is the legal and moral aspects of the action.

pelosi_orificeThe political Left as represented by Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA-12) and  Elijah cummings_benghazi_hearingCummings (D-Md.) believe that matters like the Benghazi investigation is just politics, and not worthy of attention. She says that the investigation is a “distraction.” A distraction from Obama’s failed policies elsewhere I suppose.

But here’s the difference between what is a distraction and what is not. Democrats had Tom Delay attacked and prosecuted for doing political actions that were legal. In short, they were successful in criminalizing legal political conduct. No one was killed or injured. And DeLay paid millions to defend himself to the end of having the case finally dismissed. Pelosi and Obama weren’t saying ‘oh, that’s just political, there’s no there there.’

Where Benghazi is concerned, the regime used political power and influence to an immoral, if not illegal, end. To this day, no one knows what the Commander in Chief was doing when Americans were fighting for their lives in Benghazi.

What we do know is, the story we were told by him and his surrogates in the State Department turns out to have been false. It wasn’t a mistake that the story about the alleged video was said to be the cause of the attack. That was the lie created to shift responsibility from the regime and the State Department to some poor shlep in California. That was the immoral political calculation the regime made to keep the truth from the American public (another immoral political calculation) long enough to get through the upcoming presidential election. And that’s why the investigation into what happened before, during, and after the Benghazi attack is important. See the difference?

To quote the now infamous Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, “It is a subject that we are absolutely required to explore.

Jolly (R) Wins FL13, Who Knew?

One Associated Press piece in the local paper titled Fla. House race could be warning for Democrats was all there was in the news media about the republican win in a district that voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012. In a contest that was described as a bellwether for the midterm elections in November, where Obamacare was the focus on both sides.

NBC’s Chuck Todd said . . .

Tomorrow’s race in Florida will tell us a lot about the power of the Republican Party’s health-care attacks on Democrats could have in 2014.

Jolly campaigned on a conservative platform; cutting government spending, balanced budgets and repealing Obamacare. Sink tried a new version of offense with Obamacare; mend it, don’t end it. She followed the President’s agenda with a pro-illegal alien agenda, and more government spending. ‘Cutting spending’ and ‘balanced budget’ as an objective never crossed her lips.

Republican David Jolly beat Democrat Alex Sink with 48.5 percent of the vote to Sink’s 46.7 percent. Before the returns were in, Democrats began downplaying the importance of this contest. When the results were final, DNC Chair Debbie Was-a-man Shultz tried explaining away their loss, saying “the GOP fell short of its traditional margin” in a Republican-leaning district (but trending Democrat) packed with older voters.

She’s right about that. And the mainstream media carried her message. Missing in that fact is a little perspective. What she and the news media won’t say is that in all seven of Rep. Young’s elections, he ran unopposed. In this election, Jolly had two challengers. Sink a Democrat, and Libertarian candidate Lucas Overby.

Speaking of traditional margins. Third parties traditionally have given Democrats the win by siphoning off Republican party votes. Ralph Nader and Ross Perot come to mind. But this time, the nearly 5% that Overby got wasn’t enough to hand Sink a win. Also not mentioned was the fact that Jolly’s candidacy was not taken seriously by the establishment Republicans, allowing Jolly to be outspend by Democrats 3 to 1.

On the day before the election, Todd also said this . . .

Conversely, a Jolly win on Tuesday would signal that it’s open hunting season on Democrats — even in places where Obama has been a strength for Democrats in past elections.

It’s also open season on the establishment Republicans if they don’t stand on the principles that got them elected, and if they refuse to understand that running on conservative principles, compared with the status quo of the last 6 years, is how you win elections.

Obama’s War On Women, Poor, Hispanics, And Young

For better or worse, a truism of American politics is that voters vote their pocketbooks. Yet according to a new report on median household incomes by Sentier Research, in 2012 millions of American voters apparently cast ballots contrary to their economic self-interest. A testament to the power of a media devoted to their president.

Now for some economic facts

Obama’s economic policies are hurting the people who elected him more than any other demographic.

President Obama was re-elected with 51% of the vote. Five demographic groups were crucial to his victory: young voters, single women, those with only a high-school diploma or less, blacks and Hispanics. He cleaned up with 60% of the youth vote, 67% of single women, 93% of blacks, 71% of Hispanics, and 64% of those without a high-school diploma, according to exit polls.

Family income decrease from President Obama’s 5 most dedicated demographics since his “recovery” began.

  • -7% single women households, with or without children
  • -9.6% under age 25
  • -10.9% Black heads of households
  • -4.5% Hispanic heads-of-households
  • -8% incomes of workers with a high-school diploma or less fell by about 8% (-6.9% for those with less than a high-school diploma and -9.3% for those with only a high-school diploma).

To put that into dollar terms, in the four years between the time the Obama recovery began in June 2009 and June of this year, median black household income fell by just over $4,000, Hispanic households lost $2,000 and female-headed households lost $2,300.

The middle class is getting poorer.  While the minimum wage remained steady, the median family income has fallen every year since Obama’s “recovery” began.

Makes one wonder what it would take for these people to realize that what they are living is not what Obama is saying, but what he is doing? He’s not going to stop campaigning. He can’t. Because if he does, the gullible voters that elected this community organizer president twice might begin to realize that President Obama is more interested in gaining political power than making the economy, and their lives, any better.

Which reminds me of what Rand Paul said in this post . . .

Liberals don’t seem to get the point that if you’re trying something and the objective evidence shows that it’s not working, why not try something different?

Paul indirectly referred to the famous definition of insanity as trying something again and again while expecting a different result.

I Want My Affordable Health Care

Have you begun to notice that the Affordable Care Act, which was supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, (never mind that 85% of the population were happy with the health insurance and health care they had), keeps getting delayed (illegally I might add) from implementation? Curiously, all the bad stuff, like policy cancellations and the people seeing their premiums double and deductibles quadruple, losing their doctors, hospital, and medicine, keep being pushed back to periods AFTER elections. After 2012, after 2014, and now some provisions after 2016 and long after 2016.

If this law is so good, something that Americans just couldn’t live without, then let those policy cancellation notices come out in September and October of 2014. Let’s get it on already. It wouldn’t have anything to do with the fact that Democrats totally OWN the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, would it? Or from the fact of what we’ve seen so far that it is turning out to be nothing like what was promised? Or maybe it was because the promises have been revealed to everybody, including democrats, to be not promises, but outright lies?

Ignoring the failure of Obamacare is one thing. What’s even more amazing is the democratic strategy for the 2014 mid-term election. A strategy designed to not make Democrats look like they have to run away from Obamacare. Their idea is to run on fixing it.

To a Democrat in Washington this makes perfect sense. Just like their inability to stimulate the economy with so-called stimulus spending, and wanting to spend more, while the only result is record long-term unemployment, the lowest worker participation rate since Jimmy Carter, and massive record national debt. In other words, they’ve proven that what they’re doing does not work. So let the ones who broke the economy fix the economy by doing the same thing that broke it in the first place.

It follows then that we should re-elect the people who destroyed our health care system and health insurance industry so that they can ostensibly “fix” it in however many years it will take. And that makes sense to who? Especially when there has been a private sector alternative solution to Obamacare for 4 years now. And on that topic, remember, every time you hear a Democrat say “they have no alternative,” you know they are lying to you again.

New Leaders Wanted, Ruling Class Shows True Colors

The next time you hear Harry Reid or John Boehner hawk a budget, or any other kind of spending bill like the sequester, where all the spending happens now and the savings happens years in the future, consider that a con job that has run its course.

Speaker of the House John Boehner (R)
Speaker of the House John Boehner (R)

After only one year of the sequester, that was supposed to last 8 years, it has already been raped by the “deal” passed by the House today.

Real fiscal conservatives. No! This has nothing to do with conservatives. This has to do with honesty. From now on, there will be no promises for anything happening in the future in exchange for something else happening now. It’s a lie. The “future” never comes.

There was a bill passed that was called PayGo back in 2010. It was in connection with raising the debt limit back then. Since then, raising the debt limit has become an annual habit of Congress, lacking the courage to control spending and treat a limit like a limit. Hell, they lack the courage to even spend the same amount next year as was spent last year. The PayGo legislation said that any increased spending had to be coupled with an equal amount of cuts somewhere else. PERIOD. That proved to be another lie and hasn’t been followed since the day it was passed. How else can anyone explain a $17 Trillion debt, heading to over 20 in a few years.

The budget hoopla in Congress today proves the point. No leader of either party in either branch has what it takes to tackle the real economic problems this country faces. Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. And the House, under John Boehner, is supposed to control the purse of the government. He’s failing at his job. Spare me the incredulity and attacks on conservatives Mr. Speaker. You’re not the one to lecture anyone about credibility.

For 2014, we need new leaders.

Obama Lied, And Won By 4 Points

OK, the 2012 election is over. I get it. But get this. One of the architects of Obamacare, Ezekial “Zeke” Emanuel, was on FOX News Sunday yesterday where Host Chris Wallace asked him whether President Obama’s promises “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan, period,” and “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period” were true statements?

Zeke’s answer to Wallace was from another planet. He said, “Yes.  But look.  If you want to pay more for an insurance company that covers your doctor, you can do that.”

And to that point, Wallace said “Which means your premium may go up over what you were paying so that, in other words –”

Emanuel cut Wallace short with “No one guaranteed you that your premium wouldn’t increase. Premiums have been going up.”

That is a true statement. No one guaranteed that your premiums would not increase. On the contrary, President Obama said that premiums for the average family would decrease by $2,500. And that’s not happening either.

So in other words, it’s OK to lie to the American people if it will help you get elected. This isn’t news to me where liberals are concerned. It’s what they do. But it’s the first time it has been admitted to on national television.

Had President Obama said, “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan, if you want to pay more for it,” or “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, if you want to pay more,” or, “if you like your hospital, you can keep your hospital, if you want to pay more,” how many points do you think Romney would have won by?

Wisconsin Political Speech Raid; Subpoenas hit allies of Scott Walker as his re-election campaign looms.

Progressives and Unions in Wisconsin are out to stifle free speech. Like the IRS political targeting, only republicans and conservative interest groups are affected.

Gov. Walker, elected three times in first term.

Once you understand the mindset of Progressives when it comes to elections, this will make sense even though they don’t. And the way this translates in elections is, they didn’t lose, they were robbed. To them, an election loss does not mean the people don’t like whatever it is they have to offer. It means they just didn’t destroy enough opponents or didn’t lie good enough to overcome their opponent’s platform. So now, they are out to intimidate the opposition’s supporters by using the courts and the associated legal cost. You see, making people think twice about contributing to Gov. Walker or any other Republican’s campaign, for fear of being investigated with zero probable cause, would give the unions the unfair advantage they’re looking for to reverse Walker’s reforms.

Special prosecutor Francis Schmitz has hit dozens of conservative groups with subpoenas demanding documents related to the 2011 and 2012 campaigns to recall Governor Walker and state legislative leaders.

Copies of two subpoenas we’ve seen demand “all memoranda, email . . . correspondence, and communications” both internally and between the subpoena target and some 29 conservative groups, including Wisconsin and national nonprofits, political vendors and party committees. The groups include the League of American Voters, Wisconsin Family Action, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, Americans for Prosperity—Wisconsin, American Crossroads, the Republican Governors Association, Friends of Scott Walker and the Republican Party of Wisconsin. One subpoena also demands “all records of income received, including fundraising information and the identity of persons contributing to the corporation.” In other words, tell us who your donors are.

Eleven Months Ago, Romney-Obama Third Debate

Not that it will change a thing, but here’s a little mental exercise to see if you can tell who the adult in the room is. Of course, many people knew who the adult was. He just didn’t win.

On Russia:

OBAMA: Governor Romney, I’m glad that you recognize that Al Qaida is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not Al Qaida; you said Russia, in the 1980s, they’re now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.

On Middle East:

OBAMA: So, what — what we need to do with respect to the Middle East is strong, steady leadership, not wrong and reckless leadership that is all over the map. And unfortunately, that’s the kind of opinions that you’ve offered throughout this campaign, and it is not a recipe for American strength, or keeping America safe over the long haul.

Listen to Romney on Putin, recalling Obama telling Medvedev to tell Putin that he’ll have more flexibility after the election.

Why Would Democrats Resist Voter ID?

Requiring a voter to provide a picture identification would ostensibly prevent people, dead or alive, from voting multiple times. After all, isn’t having a fair and honest election process the right and moral thing to do?Shelton_moral_standards

lessadolla-sowers_mugshot-400x800Fraud on absentee ballots is a whole other issue. NAACP Exec. Lessadolla Sowers of Tunica County, Miss., sentenced on 10 counts of voter fraud. Voted for Obama 10 times using absentee ballots of people living and dead.

Unfortunately, different moral standards exist. There is no right to vote more than once in a given election.
