Obama Regime Passes Iraq Off To Russia

kerry_iraq_border_lost US Secretary of State Kerry’s visit to Iraq comes after radical Sunni militants gain control of the Jordanian border, which, after the loss of the Syrian border, is piling pressure on Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki. (Image captured from a Reuters TV video clip) Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki could just do what Obama did and say, hey, they are Iraq’s future.

Ripping defeat from the jaws of victory, by virtually abandoning Iraq, and refusing Maliki’s request for air support when the invasion was starting, and refusing to sell jets to Iraq so they can defend themselves, the Obama regime just handed Iraq over to Russia. Putin is all too happy to sell Iraq the jets they want and to expand their reach into the oil-rich region. And the sacrifice the United States made in blood and treasure is all for naught. And we have no one else to thank but our community organizer president Barack Hussein Obama, Mmm Mmm Mmm.

This sarcastically titled video is worth watching. Not just from the technical aspect of it, but if you’re from Philly, it will bring back a lot of memories. Well, good ones I hope.

When the time is right, will you be ready?

There are so many commercials on TV for ED (erectile dysfunction) that are getting downright boring to watch. A couple sitting in their own bathtub looking over a sunset. Another couple grinning at each other while doing yard work. You’ve seen them. Seems like a topic ripe for a SNL skit. But would they do it?

There is a whole other market that is being ignored. How long before we start seeing ads that cover couples like these?

Foreign Policy? What Foreign Policy?

Snapshot of the state of foreign relations and leadership of the Obama Administration.

January 1, 2014 to June 23, 2014, after a decade of war, trillions of dollars, and hundreds of thousands of American lives lost or affected, the progress and victory in Iraq has vanished. Iraq is being over-run by al-Qaeda type terrorists, slaughtering Iraqis along the way.

Libya, gone. Syria, gone. Russia, belligerent as ever and making a mockery of Obama while invading and taking parts of Ukraine.

Our allies, like Poland and Ukraine, know that the United States can not be counted on as an ally in any real sense. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski believes his country’s alliance with the US is worth nothing. And then some.

“The Polish-American alliance is not worth anything. It’s even damaging, because it creates a false sense of security in Poland,” Sikorski allegedly said.

“Complete bullshit,” the tape purportedly records Sikorski as saying. “We will get a conflict with both Russians and Germans, and we’re going to think that everything is great, because we gave the Americans a blowjob. Suckers. Total suckers.”

Can’t say I didn’t warn you. It’s what you get when you put a community organizer in The White House.

Surrender-in-Chief

President Obama, our elected Commander-in-Chief, has demonstrated over and over his naiveté in foreign policy. If you can point to one successful, tactical foreign policy decision, then you’re a magician because there isn’t one. North Korea, China, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Russia, Ukraine, Egypt, Eastern Europe’s missile defense shield, Israel, Lebanon, Arab Spring, Red Lines.

Likewise, his military acumen as a warrior is totally laughable. Except for the fact that he is responsible for our sons and daughters in harm’s way. He fights wars based on timetables instead of results. And he announces them, not just to his political hacks but, to the enemy. He creates a false narrative about the Benghazi attack, and broadcasts apologies to the Islamist goons in Pakistan about a movie that they likely never saw. As if they will do anything other than laugh at his amateur hour.

Withholding judgment whether Bowe Bergdahl is a deserter (an investigation will tell), this latest prisoner swap (he does negotiate with terrorists) is yet another example of how far Barack Obama will go to 1) stick it to the military, 2) appease terrorists in hoping (“hope” is not a strategy) that they’ll like us, 3) let these 5 terrorist kingpins go free after one year (who were supposed to be detained until the cessation of hostilities, ie. indefinitely). That is, if Qatar doesn’t release them or allow them to escape beforehand, and 4) he finally has a chance to give preference or weight to an Islamist goon, over an American. When the era of slavery was coming to an end, there was a time when slaves counted as 3/5 of a person. But today, President Obama (who claims to be Black) has a chance to exercise a little payback. Bergdahl weighs in at 1/5. One American, in exchange for the 5 most dangerous terrorists on the planet.

And that makes sense to who? Makes one think that President Obama is on the wrong side in this war. Problem is, he thinks he’s on the right side.

Putin Playing Marbles With Obama

First, Russian troops enter the Crimean peninsula of Ukraine. Then they take the ports, airports, and Ukrainian military bases. While President Obama watches from behind, critics are characterizing the two by saying Putin is playing chess and Obama is playing marbles.

On Putin’s taking of Crimea, President Obama says that’s not what is done in the 21st century (Mr. President. He just did it.), and he is going to impose sanctions on Russia.  Well, not exactly on Russia. But on 7 Russians and 4 Ukrainians known to have played a role in the takeover and the massacre in Kiev. By ostensibly seizing their assets and not allowing them to travel to the United States.

Amused by Obama’s naiveté, President Putin reciprocates and bans Sen. McCain and Rep Boehner from traveling to Russia. And just today, the man who said ‘if you bring a knife to a fight, I’ll bring a gun’ upped the ante and expanded his banned list to 31 people.  President Obama called that placing “additional costs” on Russia. Meanwhile, Putin is placing Russian troops along Ukraine’s border.

Any way you slice this, Crimea is lost to Russia. Actually, that is a loss for Russia but not Putin. The Russian people don’t want and have no use for Crimea. They are the poorest of the poor people in Ukraine, and the Russian people don’t want them just because of that. Putin wants the territory, and Putin gets what he wants. No one is sending in troops to push them out like what Bush did in Kuwait to Saddam Hussein. That just ins’t going to happen.

Besides, two years into his second term is no time to develop a foreign policy on Russia and Vladimir Putin.

The Budapest Memorandum, circa 1994, Ukraine Edition

The Budapest Memorandum was a security agreement signed Dec. 5, 1994 by US President Bill Clinton, UK Prime Minister John Major, Russia’s Boris Yeltsin and Leonid Kuchma for Ukraine. Not having a meaningful military of its own, but did have nuclear weapons, the Budapest Memorandum was Ukraine’s agreement to dismantle their nuclear capability in exchange for security guarantees for their sovereignty and protection of their borders.

The Budapest Memorandum was affirmed as recently as Dec. 4, 2009 when China and France joined as signatories to this agreement. And no one, except Russian President Vladimir (the dog killer) Putin denies that the generic troops in the Crimea part of Ukraine that came from Russia are in fact, Russian troops. And no one, except Putin, believes that the Russian-speaking Ukraines there need protecting by him. By all other accounts, including the Ukraine government, Russia has invaded their country and violated their border and sovereignty.

With Russia keeping the unarmed Ukrainian military from their posts with its military, including firing warning shots at them, preventing them from going to work (picture above), some Ukraine officials are calling on the Budapest Memorandum for the help they were promised.

Arsen Avakov, the new interior minister and member of Fatherland, the party of oligarch Yulya Tymoshenko, alleged that the international airport in Sebastopol in the Crimea had been blocked by Russian forces. He wrote on Facebook, “I regard what is happening as an armed invasion and occupation in violation of all international treaties and norms. This is a direct provoking of armed bloodshed on the territory of a sovereign state.”

By invoking terms of a 1994 agreement, he aims to provide a casus belli justifying Western military intervention in Ukraine.

Two things are certain. There is no will on the part of the signatories of the Budapest Memorandum to use military force to repel the Russian troops from Crimea. And, the world now sees who is calling the shots, and it is not President Obama and the United States.

There are plenty of sanctions that can be placed upon Vladimir Putin’s Russia. Sanctions that will hurt their economy and the Russian people. But what remains to be seen is where Putin will stop. Will he move on to Kiev and claim the whole country? Then move on to another former Soviet satellite country in a move to effectively re-establish the former Soviet Union?

It is clear that the time to act to prevent this has long past. What is surprising (not) is that the only people who could see this coming were Republican politicians like Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney. An examination as to why that is reveals the differences between the two parties. The Republicans deal with reality whereas the Democrats deal with the way they think things ought to be, or, the way they want them to be.

Putin knows this, and just as sure as Palin and Romney knew what he was all about, Putin knows how far in over his head Obama is, and what he’s all about. One pundit characterized it this way, “while Putin is playing chess, Obama is playing marbles.”

Refusing to admit this foreign policy debacle, the Democrats in Washington are criticizing Republicans for blaming Obama for letting this crisis grow into a crisis. It wasn’t Republicans that took an apology tour throughout the Middle East and Egypt. They didn’t voice support for the green movement in Iran, then abandon them in support of the Mullahs. They weren’t the ones that sparked the Arab Spring in Egypt, supporting the students and people who wanted democracy, only to abandon them after Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood took over. They weren’t the ones voicing support for the Syrian opposition, then doing nothing to help, until it was too late to help. Now a couple hundred thousand dead and millions in refugee camps later, al-Qaeda and Hezbollah have taken hold in Syria. And Putin is on the side of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

What President Obama has shown the world is that the United States is all talk and can not be a trusted ally when the going gets tough. Trying to save face, Obama’s response is one for the ages. As big as the lie of the year was. Ukraine is hearing, if you like your country, you can keep your country.

President Obama’s statement on Russia’s action qualifies for the joke of the year . . .

I actually think that this has not been a sign of strength, but rather, is a reflection that countries near Russia have deep concerns and suspicions about this kind of meddling.

If Russia’s move into Ukraine is not a sign of Putin’s strength, then it is an example of Obama’s weakness, naiveté, and incompetence.

Obama Warns Russia Against Intervention

Psst. Hey media! They’ve already intervened. Russia has taken over Ukraine airports and seaports. Putin has done this before, in Georgia.

‘Leading from behind’ is so predictable. Nothing different here than how President Obama reacted to Egypt, Lybia, Syria, or how candidate Obama reacted to Georgia.

So predictable in fact, that Sarah Palin called it six years ago . . .

“After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the

kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.”

Our president’s official reaction:

  • Any violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity would be deeply destabilising, which is not in the interests of Ukraine, Russia or Europe.
  • It would represent a profound interference in matters that must be determined by the Ukrainian people.
  • It would be a clear violation of Russia’s commitment to respect the independence and sovereignty and borders of Ukraine – and of international laws.
  • Just days after the world came to Russia for the Olympic games, it would invite the condemnation of nations around the world.
  • And, indeed, the United States will stand with the international community in affirming that there will be costs for any military intervention in Ukraine.
  • The president is also considering boycotting a G8 summit hosted by Russia.

As if any of that has Putin quaking in his boots. I can imagine Russian President Vladimir Putin rolling on the floor laughing his ass off.

And news on ABC’s Nightline tonight? Nothing about Russia invading a sovereign country. “News” is the Oscars.

Putin Drills Russian Troops At Ukraine’s Doorstep

Another U.S. foreign policy failure in the making. History tells us what to expect. President Obama says a lot of words. Putin ignores him, says that the conflict was started by the United States, and takes troops into a sovereign state. Just like what happened in the former Soviet state of Georgia in 2008.

And our president makes himself and the United States look like the paper tiger that he has made it out to be. Under “normal” circumstances, this would be not only unexpected, but unthinkable. But we have a different president than our country has ever seen. President Obama’s actions tell a different story. What we just may be seeing develop before our very eyes is what the president called his “flexibility” after his 2012 election. The subject at that moment was nuclear arms. Now he is downsizing the military. So when Sec. of State John Kerry tells his Russian counterpart to stay out of Ukraine’s business, coming from his boss, Putin knows that it is with a wink and a nod.

In other words, to the Ukrainian people yearning for freedom, you’re on your own. Depending on their access to international news, they may already know that the U.S. can no longer be trusted to stand up for freedom, and them, as long as President Obama is in The White House.

Vladimir Putin, Dog Killer

Notice in this article, as in any other article that passes the KGB, er, I mean censors, there is no curiosity or explanation as to WHERE THE DOGS CAME FROM? No, instead, the compliant media is calling them “street animals.”

What a barbarian looks like.
Russian President Vladimir Putin,
what a barbarian looks like.

Putin spokesman, Dmitri S. Peskov, acknowledged in an interview with Kommersant FM radio Wednesday that Sochi was struggling with stray dogs. And, in true dictator fashion, attempts to lay the blame on someone else. . .

“It is true that there are stray dogs in Sochi, more stray dogs than in other cities. The explanation is quite simple. When a big construction project is underway, dogs and puppies always appear whom the builders feed. Now the builders have left, but unfortunately, the dogs remain.”

That’s pure bullshit. Have you ever noticed stray dogs coming around a construction project where you live? Russia’s Vladimir Putin made those dogs become stray dogs. That KGB piece of shit. It isn’t hard to figure out where they came from and why there are more stray dogs in Sochi than other cities.

Russia, a country that does not value private property and in fact, treats its citizens as its property, razed whole communities and neighborhoods of people who had their own home, and pets, to make room for the olympic construction projects. The people were relocated into apartment buildings, WHERE NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED. With absolutely no regard for their citizens and their pets, the people were just forced to let their pets go. So, they go were food is. Where someone, anyone might feed them. They’re friendly because they are domesticated pets, not wild dogs.

This pisses me off. And Putin, and his communist state, needs to be held to account. If by no other way than by spreading the word of what he is responsible for in Sochi, and what an ‘animal’ of a human being he is. It’s like letting your dog out to do its business and not letting him back in, and moving away. Americans are lucky that they were born here. It could have been worse, like if you were born in Russia with no means to escape.

If only Vladimir Putin would be put in the same situation and meet the same fate he is putting those poor dogs in. All of it.

Ukraines Look West, Their President Looks East

Ukraine’s president Viktor Yanukovich’s decision to withdraw from a free-trade deal with the EU last month has sparked huge street rallies by the people of the former Soviet satellite country. While Yanukovich is leaning back to Mother Russia, the people want full autonomy and solidarity with the West and the European Union.

In response, the Ukraine government sends in riot police to break up peaceful demonstrations. Demonstrations caused by their President Viktor Yanukovych promising to sign an economic free-trade deal with the European Union only to later renege on that promise.

Lying Presidents seem to be the thing today.

Eleven Months Ago, Romney-Obama Third Debate

Not that it will change a thing, but here’s a little mental exercise to see if you can tell who the adult in the room is. Of course, many people knew who the adult was. He just didn’t win.

On Russia:

OBAMA: Governor Romney, I’m glad that you recognize that Al Qaida is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not Al Qaida; you said Russia, in the 1980s, they’re now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.

On Middle East:

OBAMA: So, what — what we need to do with respect to the Middle East is strong, steady leadership, not wrong and reckless leadership that is all over the map. And unfortunately, that’s the kind of opinions that you’ve offered throughout this campaign, and it is not a recipe for American strength, or keeping America safe over the long haul.

Listen to Romney on Putin, recalling Obama telling Medvedev to tell Putin that he’ll have more flexibility after the election.
