Obama’s 2A Parting Shot

The Federal form required to buy a firearm from a gun dealer, the 4473,  was revised and in effect as of last Monday, Jan 16, 2017.

The Department of Justice has come down on the subject of medical marijuana and the penchant for gun control. Added to the question of addiction and unlawful use of drugs, 11 e., is a warning for users of marijuana. Even if legal in your state, whether by prescribed medical use or decriminalization, you are prohibited from purchasing or receiving a firearm.

11 e. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?  Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.

In the case of marijuana, there seems to be no qualification of addiction. Only that as a Federal matter, “use” of it is illegal, and that alone will deny a person’s 2nd Amendment right to purchase, or receive, a firearm.

Also added is a question to identify the name and location of a ‘qualifying gun show or event’ if the firearm is being ‘transferred’ there. Laying the groundwork to require private sales/transfers (i.e. not a gun dealer) at gun shows to include a background check. And quite possibly, anywhere else.

So, with less than a week left in the Obama administration, along with sending GITMO terrorists back to their homeland, commuting FALN militant Oscar Lopez-Rivera’s sentence, commuting the sentence of the biggest traitor in American history, the Obama DOJ tosses this 2nd Amendment issue up for his successor.

Short of decriminalization, remove it as a Sched 1 drug. The least that could be done would be to yield to the States and go with that. Candidate Trump had indicated that the “marijuana issue” should be a state matter. In such case, all that needs to be done with the 4473 is to delete the “Warning” statement, since it would then not apply.

Chicago Breaking Records

July 2016 was the deadliest month for Chicago in 10 years. Now, for August 2016, Chicago broke that record by having the deadliest month in 20 years.

Chicago saw its bloodiest month in two decades this August, after police recorded a staggering 90 murders, 384 shootings and 472 total shooting victims.

And as usual, innocent victims become part of the statistics. Like a seven-year-old shot in the arm as well as Nykea Aldridge, cousin of NBA star Dwyane Wade.

The trend is worsening. The shoot:kill ratio for July was 4:1. For last month it is just over 5:1. Out of 472 shooting victims, 90 of them were fatal. Something has to be done to keep Chicago from changing from The Windy City to The Shooting City.

Something from this post bares repeating . . .

I have a suggestion for cities like Chicago where gun violence is so prevalent. If just one innocent life could be saved . . .  Innocent lives would be spared if the thugs had better marksmanship skills with their illegal guns. If, through proper weapons training, we could get their efficiency closer to 1:1 than (now) 5:1, then that little seven-year-old shot in the arm would not have been shot. And Nykea Aldridge would still be alive today. It’s a win-win.

Dems Tantrum, Hold Sit-In

In what can only be characterized as the aging hippie generation reliving the good old days of the 60’s, yesterday Democrat lawmakers left their seats to sit on the floor of the House of Representatives and pitch a temper tantrum. Complete with chants. (But without the pot.)

Driven by the emotion of the Orlando terror attack and their fervor for more ‘gun control,’ these politicians are creating this show to do three things.

They are demanding . . .

  • the abolition of due process.
  • that the Attorney General have dictatorial powers.
  • the evisceration of the Bill of Rights, including the 2nd Amendment.

In short, their sit-in is to attack due process, the right to bear arms, and the Constitution.

If this isn’t a wake-up call to save this country from tyrannical rulers, I don’t know what is.

Obama: Liberty, Freedom Caused Orlando

That President Obama took the memorial as his occasion to push gun control is bad enough and, an insult to the victims and families.

Deflecting his weakness in combating the war on terror, which is what this terrorist attack was, to the gun control agenda is all he had the courage to do. Deflecting a terrorist attack to a gun debate,  he said “This debate needs to change.”

But it is much worse. Listen to him. He is equating liberty and freedom with this terrorist attack. That your liberty, your freedom, the Constitution, is what made this and makes acts of terror possible! That your liberty and freedom “requires” terrorist attacks.

OBAMA:  This debate needs to change.  It’s outgrown the old political stalemates.  The notion that the answer to this tragedy would be to make sure that more people in a nightclub are similarly armed to the killer defies common sense. . . . Why it is that we think our liberty requires these repeated tragedies?  That’s not the meaning of liberty. . . .  If we don’t act, we will keep seeing more massacres like this, because we’ll be choosing to allow them to happen.

Never before in American history have we had a president so unwilling to protect and defend the Constitution and the people of the United States.

The truth about Obama is, he never intended on keeping his oath. He gave that up when he declared he was going to fundamentally change America.

It’s Obama’s Failure, Not Guns

Since the Orlando terrorist attack last weekend, the Obama theme ‘not to let a crisis go to waste’ has kicked in.

Don’t fall for this meme.

With Republicans and the National Rifle Association gun lobby under pressure to respond to the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history, Trump said he would meet with the NRA to discuss ways to block people on terrorism watch or no-fly lists from buying guns.

No. The response is, Obama’s failure to prosecute the war on terror has made us victims in our own cities. And the pressure belongs on him and Democrats. Not on Republicans and the National Rifle Association.

  • His failure to protect our borders.
  • His failure to enforce immigration laws,
  • his releasing of GITMO prisoners to return to the battlefield,
  • his insistence on scooping up thousands of Syrian refugees to bring them here, some of who are and will be (according to his own security apparatus) terrorists embedded among them.
  • His failure to keep tabs on terrorists he had his hands on, like the Boston bombers, the Fort Hood shooter, the San Bernardino shooters, and the Orlando shooter. All terrorists, all on the FBI’s radar, all on their list, and all let go. Credit Obama’s CVE program for that.
  • His plan to fight Islamic extremism is not to investigate Islamic extremism. That’s his program called the Countering Violent Extremism program.
  • And the media doesn’t ask why.

And that doesn’t even include giving Iran $1.5 Billion dollars to fund Hamas and Hezbollah and to expand their nuclear weapons program, or funding the Palestinian Authority and Hamas with hundreds of thousands of dollars each year, so they can attack Israel.

To deflect his failure to keep us safe, his response, is the same as Tyranny-vs-Libertyalways. Not to let a crisis go to waste. That’s what this is about. In this case, he makes the case for taking away our rights to defend ourselves, a constitutional right, for his inability to protect us from terrorism. In other words, to protect us from the terrorist invasion that he is creating, his response is to disarm law-abiding citizens. This might makes sense if you are a Mullah in Iran, or an ISIS terrorist. But it does make sense to Barack Hussein Obama.

Besides all that, there is no constitutional right to fly on an airplane. There is a constitutional right to protect oneself with a firearm. In fact, the right was intended to protect oneself from a tyrannical government. Not a deer or a duck. And never has this been as imperative since the forming of the Bill of Rights when we broke from the tyrannical Crown of King George III.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Never mind the 1st Amendment issue. This is PC gone wild. It’s also proof that liberalism is a mental disorder.

Students at California State University–Los Angeles have set up a “healing” space to deal with pain they were caused by having Ben Shapiro speak on campus — even though that speech was three months ago and most of them didn’t even go.

Zimmerman Sells His Kel-Tec PF-9

While the online auction to sell the gun used to kill Trayvon Martin was beset with trolls trying to circumvent the process, George Zimmerman got over six figures for it.

“The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin,” he wrote in the item description.

Looking at others your own age

Have you ever been guilty of looking at others your own age and thinking, surely I can’t look that old?? Well . . . You’ll love this one.

My name is Alice, and I was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist. I noticed his DDS Diploma on the wall, which bore his full name. Suddenly, I remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 30-odd years ago. Could he be the same guy that I had a secret crush on, way back then?

Upon seeing him, however, I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate.

After he examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended Morgan Park High School. “Yes. Yes, I did. I’m a mustang.” He gleamed with pride. “When did you graduate?” I asked.

He answered, “In 1975. Why do you ask?”

You were in my class!” I exclaimed. He looked at me closely. Then, that ugly, old, bald, wrinkled faced, fat-assed, gray-haired, decrepit son-of-a-bitch asked ”What did you teach????”

Motor Voter 2.0

Hillary Clinton is playing the race card on the campaign trail over “voting rights,” saying that Republicans want to prevent Blacks, Hispanics, and illegal aliens from voting.

That’s why I urge the all minorities to be on the lookout for Republicans attempting to prevent you from voting. Call 911 immediately if one or more of them get between you and the voting booth.

That’s exactly the impression Hillary Clinton and her party paint of Republicans. The reality is, there’s no one out there putting roadblocks on people motivated enough to vote. Hillary wants to make registering to vote mandatory..

Just because people can register to vote, does not mean they have to register or that they have to, or even should, vote. But the door has been opened. If the government can make you buy health insurance that includes registering to vote, or be fined, what’s to stop them from mandating that you vote as well?

Use this same Democrat logic with another “right” and see how accepting of it they become. Unlike voting or registering to vote, this right is provided for in the our Constitution. The right to keep and bear arms.

So when you are eligible for a drivers license or sign up for Health Insurance, in addition to being given a voter registration form, which I don’t agree with either, also include a form 2A (2nd Amendment). There is no such form, but for argument’s sake, make it a summary of the meaning of the 2nd Amendment, the firearm laws in the state, how old you have to be to buy a long gun and a hand gun. Maybe even a sentence or two about buying the weapon from a licensed firearm dealer and submitting to a background check.

Democrats should be for something like that. Otherwise, wouldn’t they be preventing Blacks, Hispanics, and the poor from exercising their 2nd Amendment rights?  Making them powerless to defend and protect themselves, their family, and their property. How racist is that?

Operation Choke Point In Jeopardy

Yesterday, the House voted to keep due process and private enterprise by passing H.R. 766 by 265-199.

WashTimesChokePointBizzes2014Operation Choke Point was the Obama administration’s way to unlawfully use the back door to stifle businesses, if not end them, that they do not like, based solely on ideological grounds. Due process not required.

The two primary targets of Operation Choke Point have been the short-term lending industry and firearm sellers. The distaste for both are rooted in leftist ideology. Progressives hate private lending, because they believe people cannot make financial decisions for themselves. In addition, there is ample evidence that the federal government wants to replace private lending with financial services provided by the Post Office. As for firearms, well, we know all about progressives and the Second Amendment.

It is also instructive to note that the bill passed pretty much on party lines. Democrats overwhelmingly voted against the bill. Or to put it another way, Democrats voted to keep the use of the federal government as a tool to punish businesses and industries they do not like.

H.R. 766 “prohibits a federal banking agency from formally or informally suggesting, requesting, or ordering a depository institution to terminate either a specific customer account, or group of customer accounts, or otherwise restrict or discourage it from entering into or maintaining a banking relationship with a specific customer or group of customers, unless: (1) the agency has a material reason to do so, and (2) the reason is not based solely on reputation risk.” The bill passed 265-159 and now goes to the Senate.

Terrorist Watch List Sham

Below is the background to the political propaganda surrounding the media meme that Republicans don’t have a problem with people on the terrorist watch list buying guns. I’m sure you’ve heard it already. But, like everything that comes out of this administration, they are not telling “the rest of the story.” (Thank you Paul Harvey.)

What follows, is what Democrats and the head carnival barker, Barack O, have up their sleeve to circumvent the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment. It has noting to do with terrorists. If it did, they wouldn’t be wanting to import them, or in the case of GITMO, free them.

Suffice it to say, with the proposed “common sense” gun safety legislation, any of the folks at the Tea Party rally in Washington (above picture) could be quietly and secretly be put on that list. And they wouldn’t know it until they tried to buy a weapon. Or to put it another way, they wouldn’t know it until they tried to exercise their 2nd Amendment Right.

media hack daily newsAs you hear the Democrats and the media (my apologies for being redundant) complaining about how the evil Republicans “refuse to prevent gun sales to people on the terrorist watch list”, you must know the rest of the story that they are not telling.

The process by which someone gets put on the list is classified. The list itself is classified. There is no appeal process to get your name removed (if you even know you are on it at all).

Do you really want a law that allows the federal government to secretly deny Constitutional Rights to anyone it wants without due process of law?

Senator Ted Kennedy was once on the “Do Not Fly List”. It took him six weeks to get his name removed. And he was a sitting U.S. Senator! Now, I could make a convincing argument that Ted Kennedy has done more harm to this country than any terrorist has, but that’s not the point. If he was somehow put on the list and had trouble getting his name removed, how would you get your name removed if you were ever put on that list?

And don’t forget who the Obama Administration stated in a leaked 2009 DHS memo were potential terrorists:

“Rightwing extremists” who “perceive” a “lack of government action on illegal immigration.”

“Rightwing extremists” who “perceive recent gun control legislation as a threat to their right to bear arms.”

“Rightwing extremists” who “make bulk purchases of ammunition.”

“Rightwing extremists” who “bemoan the decline of U.S. stature” and “the loss of U.S. manufacturing capability to China and India.”

“Rightwing extremists” who oppose “gun control efforts.”

“Rightwing extremists” who “stockpile food, ammunition, and weapons.”

“Rightwing extremists” who oppose “government infringement on civil liberties.”

“Rightwing extremists” who oppose abortion.

“Rightwing extremists” who oppose same-sex marriage.

“Returning veterans” with “their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat” who are “disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war.”

In other words ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH BARACK OBAMA IS A POTENTIAL TERRORIST!

So THAT is why all decent Americans should oppose the Democrats’ and the media’s demand for what they call “common sense gun safety legislation”.
