Of course, it is safe to say that hell never left. It just held back until, like they were promised, the U.S. forces left Iraq. Now it’s their problem. Enjoy it Iraq.
Islamists exploit weak border to fight in Iraq and Syria
Iraqi air strikes kill 34 as army tries to dislodge al-Qaida militants in city of Ramadi, near Syrian border.
The action came as al-Qaida fighters were also reported to have taken control of Falluja and underlined the fragility of Syria and Iraq’s shared border, which is becoming increasingly exposed as standoffs with Islamist militants in both countries appear to be reaching a defining phase.
This whole Islam reset thing is really working out. For al-Qaida.
You’ll have to look far and wide to learn that the “scientists” are a bunch of global warming types out to visit the altar of global warming. That they and another ship sent to rescue them also got stuck in the ice is charming.
Oh but the irony doesn’t stop there.
Prior to the voyage, the expedition had pledged to plant 800 kauri trees in Northland, New Zealand in order to offset the carbon emissions from the trip. After the resources expended rescuing them, 800 trees isn’t going to cut it. The new number? Try 5,000, or enough to constitute an entire forest, according to former Act Party leader Rodney Hide.
Ya think any of these scientists know how many trees start and grow all on their own, naturally, around the world? This counting trees stuff is just as big a hoax as is the claim that global warming, no, climate change, is man-made and they (man) can control it.
And it’s not over yet. Now the United States Coast Guard is on its way to attempt to rescue the two icebreakers stuck in Antarctica ice.
Had an engaging conversation today on my Facebook page over a letter floating around which I posted that warned that Obamacare was about to force closure of many faith-based (Catholic) organizations, or shift the financial burden to taxpayers to make up for the loss. It was also very insensitive to Islam. Insensitive in the respect that it drew comparisons between what the faith-based organizations do, compared to those that Islam do, or don’t do. And the comparisons were blatantly stark.
It also made references to President Obama’s statements that the U.S.A. is not a Christian nation. The exact quote was “not just a Christian nation.” There’s a difference in meaning between what the letter had and what Obama said. That said, it didn’t take away from the comparisons. It also posed this question: “Have you ever seen a Muslim do anything that contributes positively to the American way of life?” That’s when things got interesting.
I suppose that was a reference to Obama’s statement at the Ramadan dinner in The White House when he mentioned Muslim contributions in America.
In this year’s greeting, Mr. Obama said the rituals of Ramadan “remind us of the principles that we hold in common and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings. Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity and racial equality. And here in the United States, Ramadan is a reminder that Islam has always been part of America and that American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions to our country.”
That Islam has had a major role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings may come as a surprise to Muslim women. Young Afghan girls who are having acid thrown in their faces on the way to school might want to offer their perspectives. That Islam is “known” for diversity and racial equality is also a bit of a reach. This certainly does not refer to religious diversity, which is nonexistent in many Muslim-majority states. This is a plaudit better reserved for a speech at the opening of a synagogue in Mecca.
Most puzzling is the president’s claim that “Islam has always been part of America.” Islam had no influence on the origins and development of the United States. It contributed nothing to early American political culture, art, literature, music or any other aspect of the early nation.
Maybe the President was thinking of convenience store and gas station operators, but I was thinking in terms of the founding of our country and its development. I mean, when he goes out of his way to diminish the role of Christianity in the founding of the country to a Muslim audience, the question begs an answer.
I know of only ONE thing that Muslim’s are responsible for that contributed to “the American way of life.” The founding of the Marines in November 1775 during the times of the Second Continental Congress. Before George Washington became our first President. Their contribution was their pirating merchant ships, stealing the cargo and killing the crews in the Mediterranean Sea. As the Marine anthem goes “From the Halls of Montezuma To the Shores of Tripoli…” They were formed to protect shipping from pirates at first. Then grew into a force that can protect our country. That’s what I see as their contribution to America and our way of life. Your mileage may vary. If so, please use the comment section to add your two cents.
I welcome any local Imam to respond on what he (I don’t think they have female Imams) sees as their contribution. Not Fethullah Gulen, exiled in the Poconos, who runs schools to indoctrinate Muslim Brotherhood acolytes. They have nothing to do with the American way of life. Well, other than using the freedom of religion here to avoid jail in Turkey.
Doesn’t look like the second shoe is going to drop on the GLAAD-produced controversy. So far, there has been no push back coming from adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, and the swindlers.
So why would A&E react the way they did when their own public statement responding to GLAAD was that Phil Robertson’s statement was his own and had nothing to do with their network or their TV show? (It’s a rhetorical question.)
A car bomb detonated by Barack Obama’s friends, the Muslim Brotherhood, killed 14 people, mostly police, and injured 60 others when they blew up a police station in Mansoura Egypt. More Muslims killing Muslims. There’s your war on Islam for you. Muslims in Egypt and Syria are killing Christians with abandon as well. As hateful as they are, sucks to be them.
And as you can tell by their silence, our President Obama, Sec. of State Kerry, and National Security Advisor Susan Rice, have no problem with it. You see, it wasn’t democratic rule Obama was looking for back before the Muslim Spring turned to winter. He wanted, and allowed, the Muslim Brotherhood to take over.
The bombing comes just weeks before Egypt holds a referendum on a new constitution that is billed by the country’s military-installed authorities as the first step towards democratic rule after the army ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July.
Jumping at the chance to be offended, the gay activists at GLAAD mobilized to barrage A&E with complaints. They said this kind of discrimination will not be tolerated. What? The only person being discriminated against is Phil Robertson on Duck Dynasty who, thanks to them, has lost his job. Not only that, but they said (they lied) that Phil compared homosexuality to bestiality. He did not. But in typical Liberal fashion, they make up what they have to in order to attack someone who doesn’t think like they do. Phil was not speaking for or representing GLADD’s agenda. He represented himself only, and honestly answered questions he was asked about his personal beliefs. Seems like it is GLADD that has no tolerance for straight people who happen to be religious.
If GLAAD really speaks for all gays, how does it figure that two percent of the population have no tolerance for the other 98 percent?
Phil Robertson, patriarch of the family on the TV show, merely responded to a question (from a lefty magazine writer) about what is sinful to him. Knowing he and his whole family don’t hide their religion on the TV show or in person, Drew Magary no doubt knew he would hear something that would be sensational to him and his ilk. And the 67 yr. old Phil Robertson told the truth about his personal belief and experience.
Can’t imagine why the object of homosexual behavior is so vile, as the GLAADites whine. It is what it is. Men don’t have vaginas. They use their (clinical name) anus for sexual penetration. So if that sounds vile to you, maybe you’re not as gay as you think? Or a teeny bit ashamed? I don’t know. Someone please enlighten me on what is offensive or vile about that statement. Aside from it being just one man’s opinion of what sin is. Your mileage may vary. In his story, Magary doesn’t print the question that provoked this response, but it seems clear that it had something to do with homosexual behavior. (A note to Magary on what prompted his response has not been responded to.)
“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
“Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong,” Phil says. “Sin becomes fine.”
Question:What, in your mind, is sinful?
“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he says. Then he paraphrases Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
This is where the hetero bashers (GLAAD) put words in to Phil’s answer that don’t exist. Answering to “what is sinful” to him, Phil lists a lot, starting with homosexual behavior, and including other sinful acts, bestiality, heterosexual sins, and non-sexual sins.
Now, if Drew Magary wanted a story about the man, he could have done that by simply saying that Phil is a religious man and holds the common beliefs of his faith, that homosexual behavior is a sin. Instead, he prints what seems to be Phil just trying to explain to a lay person (Magary) why he feels the way he does. But obviously, that’s not the message, or mission, Magary wanted or was on.
That A&E succumbed to all the moral and religious intolerance of groups like GLAAD and fired Phil, while at the same time they admit in their own statement that his words had nothing to do with A&E, shows their moral compass, or lack thereof.
So the war on Christianity continues unabated in Syria. This is the time for President Obama to speak out against it and against the barbaric side of Islam. Beheading Christians for refusing to convert to their animal-Islam. It’s time to call a spade a spade.
Raiding a convent, kidnapping the Mother Superior and 11 nuns. If they’re still alive, they’re no doubt praying to be with Jesus.
The only thing I can think of that is worse than what these cave men who hide their dirty faces are doing, is the silence from President Obama. Or is it just another one of his Muslim Brotherhood adventures in Syria, as in Egypt, to start something and then stand back and watch?
A suicide bomber blew himself up in central Damascus Tuesday and killed four people, the state media said, while a Syrian mother superior accused opposition fighters of abducting 12 nuns from a predominantly Christian village near the capital.
The banner proclaims ‘Marriage equals woman plus men, everything else is something different’
Croats voted overwhelmingly in favor of defining marriage in the constitution as a “union of man and woman” on Sunday. Croatia now shares its constitutional definition of marriage with Belarus, Poland, Moldova, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Serbia.
Almost 66 percent of those who voted in the referendum in the new European Union member endorsed the initiative, launched by the Catholic group “In the Name of the Family”, according to preliminary results on Sunday night. Turnout was 37 percent. The vote was not surprising given that 90 percent of Croatia is Roman Catholic.
Current law in Croatia states that marriage is between a man and woman. The point of the constitutional referendum was to insure that no laws would or could change that definition, short of a constitutional amendment which would need a two-thirds vote, 66 percent. Despite the overwhelming majority of the effort to put it in the constitution, the Croatian government was opposed to it but will comply with the referendum. The government will be making laws to grant equal rights to same-sex couples instead of changing or expanding the definition of the word. It is also considering changes to the constitutional referendum process to restrict the ability for the public to start changes to it.
It is instructive to see the liberal bias in the news reporting of the referendum. More than just defining the meaning of the word in the constitution, there are headlines like “Same-sex marriage ban divides Croatia” and “Croatians Vote Against Same-Sex Marriage.” Choosing automatic victim status, in true liberal fashion, Croatians didn’t vote for the normal definition of marriage, they voted against gays. There was no same-sex marriage ban. In Croatia, same-sex marriage isn’t now and never has been legal. And if anything, the referendum united Croatia on what marriage is. It didn’t divide it.
A week after the big “deal” with Iran is complete, we begin to see just what was in it and what led up to it. Who is surprised to see that the Obama/Kerry team pretty much surrendered to Iran for the sake of saying they had reached a deal?
Turns out, not only did the deal include Iran not having to dismantle anything, while we give them billions, and certain more economic sanctions are lifted, but we turned over to Iran a nuclear scientist caught buying nuclear weapons components for Iran, in exchange for two hikers. Leaving behind former FBI agent Robert Levinson (captive since 2007), former U.S. Marine Mr Hekmati arrested by Iran in 2011 on accusations of being a spy when he visited the country to see his grandmother, and American Pastor Saeed Abedini, imprisoned since July 2013 for being a Christian.
Remembering a tough-talking candidate Sen. Obama in 2008 saying “If they bring knives, we will use guns.” Of course, he was talking about his Republican opponents then. Where America’s real enemies are concerned, he’ll bring a white flag, foreign aid, and some crying towels.
