Obama’s War On America

One would expect a community organizer to be the one advocating for ‘gay marriage.‘ But not the President of the United States.

When Barack Obama says that he is now in favor of gay marriage, something that no other president has said, himself included, isn’t this an attack on traditional American values when it comes to marriage being a union between opposite sexes? Not to mention trying to change the definition of the word.

If the strategy is to make gay marriage the next ‘war’ for some political advantage, then they’ve picked the majority of America as their enemy. And running against most of the country on this issue is not a winning strategy.

Notice the pattern. ABC asks the question about as irrelevant a matter on people’s minds today as birth control or contraception, so it becomes the news. It’s the next social topic to distract folks from Obama’s failing economy, no jobs, and high prices because it is now wall-to-wall in the news.

The ‘fundamental change’ Obama has in mind for America has to be stopped by stopping him in November. That is, if you want the kind of America you and your ancestors grew up in.

2012 Campaign Of Deceit

President Obama has the solution to our economic troubles. He told one of his two preferred audiences, school students and labor unions, in this case it was college students, that we can’t spend more than we take in.  And they cheered. Who can argue with not spending more than you have? The only difference is, the unions know he’s lying and the students don’t.

President Obama’s Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said that there is no year in the ten-year budget forecast where the budget deficit decreases. At a House hearing on the subject, I believe it was also he who said that balancing the budget was not a priority for the administration because it would mean making substantial cuts to entitlement programs. He said ‘the people won’t stand for it.’

Translation: Doing the right thing will be disastrous to our base and the president’s re-election. So, we punt.

It’s not a hard decision to make, given what is happening to the E.U.; Greece, Italy, Spain, and others. We can be successful by living within our means, or we can count the years until what we are seeing in the streets of Greece begins to happen here.

This lie is so blatant, so much of a 180 from the truth, it is impossible to defend. Which is probably why the mainstream media ignores it.  After all, in 2008 they promoted the vacuous campaign of ‘Hope and Change.’ Four years later, they are delivering a campaign designed to deceive the American people.

Obama’s 2012 Campaign, See 2008 Campaign

President Obama tells a gathering in Cartagena, Colombia what he knows his audience wants to hear . . .

In his most specific pledge yet to U.S. Hispanics, President Barack Obama said Saturday he would seek to tackle immigration policy in the first year of a second term. But he cautioned that he would need an amenable Congress to succeed.

“This is something I care deeply about,” he told Univision. “It’s personal to me.”

Could swear I’d heard this before. Four years ago. It serves as a measure of how Obama has delivered on his campaign promises. Especially since he is campaigning like he is running for the first time. Even though his party controlled the House, Senate, and White House for his first two years of this, his first term.

What’s sad is that we have a president of the United States who believes he can not win re-election unless he divides the country into as many segments as possible and directing them all against the other half of the country. Coming from the President of the United States, it’s disgraceful.

Maybe voting for the same guy again and expecting a different result is not a good strategy?

Today’s Special, Undercover Video And Voter ID

The video, released yesterday, contrasts clips from the “sting” with quotes from Holder saying that voter fraud is generally “a problem that does not exist.” Holder’s Justice Department has blocked voter ID laws in South Carolina and Texas on grounds that include the supposed superfluity of those laws.

I like O’Keefe’s sense of humor too. At the end, he tells the poll worker he prefers to go and get his ID. Says, “I’ll be back faster than you can say furious.”

Obama’s 2012 Campaign

Four years ago, President Obama had no record to run on besides Hope and Change. Four years later, after stimulus spending that did not work and a health care law that is illegal, a proposed budget plan that makes deficit spending the norm with no path to bring the budget into balance, President Obama still has no record to run on.

Obama’s campaign is left with attacking the court, being community organizer to the dumb masses, and attacking Republicans for coming up with a budget that eventually brings deficits down to a balance condition in 28 years by characterizing Republicans as foisting draconian cuts on (wait for it) the backs of the poor.

Truth is, this administration doesn’t have the will or the way to return fiscal and budgetary sanity to the government.

Presidential, Or Community Organizer, You Decide

The President’s unloading on the Supreme Court Monday, before any decision on his Affordable Health Care Act has been announced, was very un-presidential. You could argue that he should know better than to act that way, but, he has done it before in public. At the 2010 SOTU show over a campaign finance decision in Citizens United v. United States.

Yes, he missed a teachable moment as a ‘constitutional’ attorney. Instead of sitting at his Oval Office desk, giving the American people the confidence that our system of government, big and slow as it is, is working on settling everyone’s concern about the constitutionality of Obamacare1,  President Obama acted more like the community organizer he is than the president he should be. He, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and leading Democrats employed veiled threats and intimidation to try to effect the Supreme Court’s decision, and at the same time, rile up half the country against the Supreme Court, and against the other half of the country. It’s what community organizers do on a country level.

From all the whining and imputing comments from our President over the Court’s decision, expected to be announced at the conclusion of their session in June, makes one wonder if he hasn’t already been tipped off as to how the court voted?

1 President Obama’s signature piece of legislation that was more important (to him) to enact than creating jobs and our economic recovery.

Poser-in-Chief

The timeline goes like this.

  1. Gas prices going up.
  2. President Obama nixes the Keystone XL Pipeline from Canada to Texas.
  3. Gas prices still going up.
  4. Public polling suggest that two-thirds of Americans believe gas is too high and are in favor of the XL Pipeline.
  5. President Obama goes to Oklahoma to glam onto what would be the end part of the XL Pipeline to speed up a construction project that has already been approved, and, that did not need Presidential approval in the first place.
  6. The President is a poser, trying to give Americans the illusion that he has changed his tune on the XL Pipeline.

The Poor Tax – Energy, Food, Transportation

The tax hammer has long been the tool of the politician to micro-manage behavior. In order to insulate them of any real accountability, the bean counters in Washington institutionalized the big deception when they took energy and food out of the mix in measuring the cost of living in America. After all, who needs to eat or get anywhere? And while the Obama administration is fine with promoting class warfare, wealth envy, race divisiveness, and Obama’s latest distraction, gender warfare, the people he supposedly champions the most are the ones getting screwed by his no-energy ‘energy policy.’

As a percentage of income, Obama’s economy hits the poor, and poor working people the hardest. The increase ‘taxes’ that the poor must pay to put food on the table, gas in the car, and clothes on their back is way more damaging and sinister than the $40 street money Congress ‘gave’ them by cutting funds from Social Security and senior citizens. It doesn’t make up for their rising heating and electric bills. It does nothing to those homeowners poised to lose their home due to falling home values. No, Obama is just fine with letting the poor squirm before, during, and after his fundamental changing of America.

Food cost has gone up, not only here but everywhere in the world. And the cause has nothing to do with capitalism. It has everything to do with the environmental movement and the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy.

Beginning with monetary policy. This is where the ‘hidden tax’ comes in, and it is always first. As the Federal Reserve increases money supply, QE 1 & 2, all that, the value of the dollar decreases. Increasing of our national debt to the point of losing a AAA credit rating (for the first time in history) also puts negative pressure on the value of the dollar. So what cost you a dollar before Quantitative Easing, now cost you $1.20. Suddenly, $100/barrel turns in to $120/barrel because the dollar is worth less. Then comes the push to use foodstuffs in our gas tank, bio-fuels, and killing new drilling and exploration and the Keystone Pipeline. All of these events cause the price of gasoline to rise. None of it puts negative pressure on the price of oil.

Food price spikes due to droughts in grain-producing nations are one thing. And usually temporary. But the permanent variable in food prices is the price of oil. Oil price increases cause a general escalation in the costs of fertilizers, food for the farmer’s livestock, food transportation, fuel for tractors and industrial agriculture.

The root causes are political, not scientific. The deflation of the dollar, the increasing use of biofuels in developed countries, and an equally jaundiced outlook for increasing our domestic oil supply and capacity. These are all pieces in the food cost puzzle.

Everything that is wrong with the economy now is a result of the tried and failed policies of this administration. Whatever miniscule increase in economic activity does happen, happens in spite of Obama’s policies, dictates, and Czars. Not because of them.

We could have a much brighter economic outlook if the Senate would stop sitting on the dozens of bills submitted by the Republican House designed to do just that. Not the least of which is the FairTax. But remember, it is the President that wants to run on a ‘do-nothing’ congress.

That’s what elections are for. Getting the White House doesn’t get you much without also getting control of the Senate and keeping a majority in the House.

Maybe voting for the same guy again and expecting a different result is not a good strategy?

Big Labor To Endorse Obama

As the A.F.L.-C.I.O. prepares to endorse President Obama on Tuesday, labor leaders say they will mount their biggest campaign effort, with far more union members than ever before — at least 400,000, they say — knocking on voters’ doors to counter the well-endowed “super PACs” backing Republicans. Trying to make Barack Obama America’s newest founding father.
