Police Shoot 137 Rounds At Unarmed Couple

The Cleveland, Ohio PD needs to check itself and its ranks for yahoos with guns. Ignoring rules about ‘high-speed’ chases, this chase ends up with two dead unarmed people and no evidence that either of them fired a gun, and no evidence that they had a gun. So if you’re in Cleveland, and your clunker of a car occasionally backfires, you better watch out.

There are plenty of reasons why people would run from police. Why this couple did will never be known. They’re dead. It took 25 minutes for police to put themselves in a position to use lethal force. This is not a case of standing your ground. That 90 out of 137 rounds missed the target is another issue altogether. But I don’t believe running from police in this country requires an immediate death sentence.

So why do you think the mainstream media is mute on this story? And where are the Rhyming Reverends?

Government Response Sandy, Katrina

There’s no question that the media response to both storm disasters are different. And so was, is, the government’s response to them. There’s also no question that there is no interest in why this is.

First and foremost in the Katrina storm coverage was the racial aspect of its inhabitants and Bush (R) didn’t care about them, for a couple ‘reasons.’ They’re Black and for the most part, democrats. The media pushed the race card narrative, and paid less attention to the interference of the state’s own politicians.

New Orleans population is about 250, 000 and 67% Black. Staten Island’s population is twice that, about 500,000, and 9.5% Black. Not saying that the racial disparity between both disasters is material to the government’s poor response to the people in Staten Island. The disparity in the media’s response and coverage is perhaps more political than racial now that there’s a D in The White House, who also happens to be a White-Black (by NYTimes definition). Who knows? I’m just say’n.

What is obvious is that the government response, FEMA and the rest, is no where near as efficient in Staten Island as it was in New Orleans. Same with the media’s coverage of it, which, aside from FOX News, has been pretty much forgotten.

It’s easy to assume that the government is overwhelmed and unable to respond like it did after Katrina. What’s not so easy is for the media or The White House to admit it. The photo ops have been done. Obama is going on his Hawaiian vacation. That must mean the disaster relief is complete. Just don’t ask anyone, Black or White,  in Staten Island if they think so.

aSide Order

I’m trying to come up with an explanation for the alternate reality that seems to prevail in the media today.

For example, where is the cacophony of media reports aimed at the president for his inept handling of hurricane Sandy in the northeast compared to what we saw with Katrina and one city on the Gulf coast?

And why is a high-ranking government official having an affair with a young woman such a big deal now?

h/t to Neal Boortz for calling this video to my attention.

A heartfelt salute to our veterans past and present, and their families that supported them, on this Veterans Day.

It’s a love story, and then some. The rest of this story has no words.

Democratics Getting Their Feelings Hurt

Howard Kurtz, writing in The Daily Beast, is appealing to Mitt Romney to show some compassion for members of the “Democratic Party.”

Romney also noted that in Massachusetts, “with a Democrat legislature, I helped turn my state from deficit to surplus.” (Memo to Mitt: its members prefer that it be called the Democratic Party.)
{emphasis added}

As the ‘church lady’ would say, “Isn’t that special?” No problem Howard. From now on, the term to describe Democrats, as members of the Democratic Party, shall be Democratics. It goes something like this. Republicans are of the Republican Party, and Democratics are of the Democratic Party.

Obviously, Mr. Kurtz must not see anything awry with democratics saying that republicans want to poison the water and air, kill senior citizens, and starve children. As if republicans breath different air and drink different water, and use different schools, hospitals and doctors.

So if calling members of the Democratic Party democratics has him all torqued up, then he and democratics  should grow some thicker skin.

Always quick to sweat the small stuff and ignore $16 trillion in debt. And if re-elected, $20 trillion by the end of a second term. Then there’s the record high unemployment, socialized medicine in the name of Obamacare, wasteful spending propping up union pensions and paying back campaign contributors. Not to mention selectively enforcing and not enforcing laws from immigration to bankruptcy.

Nothing personal Howard, but republicans don’t ‘prefer’ to accept that.

Pensacola News Journal Endorses Romney

Considering that our local newspaper, the Pensacola News Journal, endorsed Barack Obama in ’08, their endorsement of Mitt Romney today was a surprise. Whether it is a sign of buyers remorse or their own economic situation, the basis for their endorsement is the economy, and the likelihood that Romney can turn things around for the better.

Obama failed to adequately address the rising national debt that will cripple future generations. He has not pushed the approval submitted two years ago by the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, also known as the Simpson-Bowles plan, that called for higher taxes to bring the debt under control. Congress also has failed to take the debt seriously, instead passing the buck, or in this case, $16 trillion of them.

Clearly, President Obama is disconnected from reality with this statement.

If the economy and our economic situation in NW Florida is as important to them as they say, the Romney endorsement seems to be inconsistent with their ‘NO’ recommendation for all of Florida’s 11 amendments. Early voting started yesterday in Florida. But don’t hold your breath waiting to see them reverse themselves on those too.

Benghazi, Obama’s ‘Disqualifier’

Now the parents of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith and Glen Doherty know they were lied to.

Now, from the newly leaked emails, not from the President in the Oval Office, Charles Woods, father of former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, breaks the family’s silence.

Obama’s campaign goal (like all of his campaigns) has been to disqualify his opponent. In this case, Mitt Romney. And that hasn’t been going well lately as Romney seems to be picking up those treasured ‘undecideds’ and Independents.

The way President Obama has handled the terrorist attack in Benghazi disqualifies him to be Commander-in-Chief for another term. Leaking sealed divorce records are not required. Producing a birth certificate, school records, or passport records are not required.

Just from what we now know, from the weeks of the coverup, and not lifting a finger to help them, and telling CIA operatives who could help not to, President Obama has done to himself what he’s been trying to do to Mitt Romney.

Sean Smith’s Mother Being Lied To Too!

A month after Sean Smith was killed by terrorists in Benghazi, his mother speaks out in an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN. This is no way that anyone, let alone the Commander-in-Chief, should treat a grieving parent. Especially from someone responsible for her son’s security.

He and his State Department are consistent though. They all lied to her the same as they all lied to us.

Kudos to Anderson Cooper and CNN for the news. Keep a sharp eye out for any other news outlet to tell her story. Well, before Nov 6.

Why Benghazi-Gate?

The official (U.S.) response to the 9/11/12 terrorist attack in Benghazi was quite telling. The storyline began with we’re “still gathering facts.” Despite that, UN Ambassador Rice, Secretary of State Clinton, and President Obama were quick to proffer that the deadly attack in Benghazi was not only ‘spontaneous,’  but that it was in reaction to a YouTube video. They also said the attack was spawned from a “demonstration” in the street outside the safe-house that got out of hand, arguing that it was not a planned terrorist attack.

We now know that all aspects of their story were purposely deceptive. Not true. Lies. It wasn’t a result of the video. There was no demonstration at the “safe house” prior to the attack. And it was a planned terrorist attack by al-Qaeda. Right from the start, and for over a week after, the Obama administration pointed the finger away from them and to a private U.S. citizen.

Why would they say that if they knew it was not true? Because the event wholly exposed the naivete of President Obama’s “new direction” in Muslim/Islamic relations and foreign policy. That, and they aren’t accepting any responsibility for leaving our Ambassador virtually UN-protected in a known haven for al-Qaeda, and on 9/11 no less. A significant anniversary date for al-Qaeda. The spin about who and what was responsible began immediately.

The State Department is responsible for the security for our diplomats. The State Department is run by, and an arm of, the President as part and parcel of the executive branch. The assassination and murdering of our ambassador and three other Americans underscores the failure of President Obama’s so-called Muslim reset policies and apology tour.

It showed that killing bin Laden didn’t end the war on terror and, al-Qaeda still wants to kill us. It also showed the result of what a naive premise to the ‘war on terror’ can lead to.

After the fall of the Gaddafi regime, the administration established a consulate in the new Libya. The State Department, for whatever reason, set up the ambassador with no U.S. Marine security. In fact, they outsourced Ambassador Stevens’ security to a firm in Great Britain. Despite all the evidence to the contrary, and the Ambassador’s concerns for his security (as discovered by CNN, not FBI), our consulate was left to fend for itself, in a country rocked by terrorists, and on 9/11.

From start to finish, this tragedy is one that can’t be blamed on Bush. It is wholly owned by President Obama and his childish, if not suicidal, views about the war on terror and radical Islam. That’s why we’re being lied to. And that’s why we’re having Benghazi-Gate.

No doubt in my mind that, if there was a Republican in The White House, this would be the only story above-the-fold, from now until election day. Not a word from the MSM about lying to the American people for political cover for an election that is just weeks away. No demands for impeachment. Not even any demands for heads to roll.

Liberal Pundit Arrested Defacing Anti-Terrorist Ad

Mona Eltahawy, a former Reuters correspondent, has been a recent favorite of CNN and MSNBC’s weekend morning shows to discuss Egypt. Now she’s gotten herself arrested for being an idiot in public, or vandalism.

See her make a complete fool of herself. No doubt boosting her street creds for MSNBC.

Obama ‘Widened The (Islamic) Gap’

The recent killing of our Ambassador called a lot in to question. Lack of security at the Embassy and at the ‘safe house’ being only one. What is it about these murdering Muslims? Why do they continue to hate us now? President Obama told us he’s got this under control. Elect him and they will like us. Hope & Change. All that.

Jean Aziz, columnist for the Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar, believes it’s all our fault. That “the repeated mistakes of U.S. policy in the Middle East and vis-à-vis the Islamic world could lead to another 9/11.”
