Obama Declares War On ANWR

Declaring the oil-rich coastal plain, which was set aside for oil exploration and development in the first place, a “wilderness area,” Obama is effectively preventing any access to it for the purposes it was originally intended. Oil and gas exploration and development.

Time for a refresher on ANWR.   ARCTIC NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE 101

Shutting down energy resources by declaring wilderness areas is nothing new where Democrat Presidents are concerned. Bill Clinton  shut the low-sulfur coal industry completely down by declaring all of it (1.8 million acres) in the United States a “monument.”

For Clinton though, it was more sinister. It was a twofer for Clinton. By declaring the lands where all our low-sulfur coal exists in the United States a “monument,” he hands a world monopoly to a big campaign contributor of his, the Chinese Rhiady family,

Now a quick mineralogical lesson. There are only two known low-sulphur coal reserves in the world, one of which is under the land in Utah that was blocked off by Clinton. And the other is in China. Thanks to Bill Clinton, the U.S. energy sector can buy low-sulphur coal from China, because now, they have to.

SOTU 2015, His Illness

Media translation service, by me. What we saw in Barack Obama‘s State of the Union show Tuesday night was his admission of his failed policies. When you hear him say there’s still “more work to do,” he wants you to think he’s making progress, and hasn’t stopped yet.

OK, so after 6 years, the middle class and poor have seen their family income fall. The number of people working (labor participation rate) is at the level it was during the Carter administration. As a result, the number of people on food stamps and other government welfare programs are at an all time high. All while he’s trying to add millions more illegal aliens to compete against the middle class and poor for the few jobs there may be.

His mental illness really shone brightly when he took credit for lower gasoline prices. Because he had nothing to do with it, sort of.

He had nothing to do with the increase on the supply side. He did have something to do with the decrease in demand on the demand side. Weak economic activity, high long-term unemployment, falling family incomes all a result of his administration’s attempt at transforming America have the effect of decreasing demand.

Gas and oil production on federal lands are down. Not up. Gas and oil production on private lands are up, and that’s where the increase supply (and jobs boom) is coming from. The media seems to have forgotten that he and his energy secretary said they want the price of gas to be like that in Europe, over $9 and $10 per gallon. And that will help the middle class? It is Obama standing in the way of the XL Pipeline, by insisting on where the oil going through it can be sold. As though he thinks that Canada’s gas and oil belongs to him.

If he cared for the middle class more than his vision to destroy, er “transform” America, he would stop doing what he’s been doing.

Boehner Calls Out President

House Speaker Representative John Boehner (R-OH) closes debate on his party’s fifth and final amendment to H.R. 240, a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, by noting 20 times President Obama has mentioned respecting the Constitution.

Nice speech. Too bad it took 6 years for anyone to say it on the House floor. Should have heard this 20 times before.

Question is, why is this not on the mainstream media? You know if it was Nancy Pelosi calling out a different president, it would be out there every day for a week.

We’ve heard Speaker Boehner say good stuff before, before elections, then act contrary to what he had said after the election.

Time will tell whether Boehner is finally serious about the conservative agenda he was elected to keep, or this is but a bone thrown to disaffected conservatives and, will find a way to pass Obama’s agenda while appearing to fight it.

We’ve seen this movie.

Wage Increase By Executive Order

President Barack Obama’s Executive Order 13658 takes effect today. It extorts contractors doing business with the federal government to pay their employees at least $10.10 per hour.

Fortunately (for taxpayers and other “working people”), the net effect will be negligible in the big picture. Because only a little over 200,000 of the over 4 million people contracting with the government are earning less than that.

What the Executive Order does is throw a bone to the low-information crowd that he is looking out for the so-called “working poor.” As opposed to the “lazy poor” I guess. They believe what the President says,  that he will cut cost by raising them. Which is also why he was afraid to involve the high-information voters, like the Legislative Branch of government.

The president and Labor Secretary Perez don’t get who it is that is ultimately paying those salaries. It is YOU, the taxpayers

Here’s a Perez quote on the subject . . .

Raising the minimum wage isn’t just the right thing to do to strengthen families — it’s the smart thing to do to strengthen businesses: People would have more money to spend on goods and services. Businesses would see higher productivity and lower worker turnover, too.

Ideological Bigotry?

Here’s a little education for the Progressives on the left whose ideology allows them to be the biggest bigots in town, and who think communist oppression is OK. Like those on the Ring of Fire. Yes, it’s those “old throwback Miami Cubans.”

For Progressives, being young has its advantages. Especially when their idea of history begins 18 years after they were born. That way, it’s easy to ignore why the trade embargo was put in place on Cuba in the first place. And, was codified into law as recently as 1996.

In yet another move around Congress, President Obama is easing the embargo. Or to put it another way, is helping the Castro regime to oppress its people using U.S. dollars.

In Cuba, the oppression continues. The government still controls all economic enterprise. For the Castro brothers, doing the same thing over and over did get a different result. It’s called Barack Obama. For Barack Obama, keeping the embargo in place didn’t get the communist regime to get right on human rights in Cuba. So he thinks funding it with American money is better. What? That’s the liberal mindset.

Kim Jong Un BOOM!

So North Korea’s cyber warfare against the United States is on. And it isn’t just against Sony Pictures for their movie “The Interview.” The company that does security checks for the Department of Homeland Security was also hacked, and data of over 48,000 employees have been compromised too. Feeling more secure or safe now?

That Sony Pictures didn’t just tell North Korea to ‘stick it’ is one thing. Ditto for the movie theater industry. But this incident is more than Sony’s reputation. It is what wars are made of. And, it is about standing up for what Americans believe in, and what our government is supposed to protect. Not only is it supposed to protect us, and Sony, from attack from a hostile nation, but it is supposed to stand up for our rights under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Like the first one.

So, in solidarity with our rights as Americans, and because our president hasn’t the balls to address it directly, here is my contribution to standing up to that dirty little dictator and his communist ilk.

R’s Won, And D’s Didn’t Lose

Time was,  elections had consequences. Not so much any more. In 2010 Republicans, pushed and dragged by tea party conservatives (which also include democrats), gained a record number of seats in federal, state, and local elections. And, did nothing with it.

Instead of governing on the will of the people, President Obama gave them the finger. In 2014, Republicans gained more seats in the House and managed to gain 9 seats in the Senate. And President Obama continues to govern against the will of the people, on every important issue.

Now, despite the Republican majority in the House for four years, the current national debt tops $18 trillion, which is more than 100 percent of the national Gross Domestic Product.

So what does the Republican establishment have to say for itself? RNC chairman Reince Priebus writes me to say “We won.” By the evidence of the continued growth of the debt, the continued lack of a real budget, and the continued folding to an administration that is out of control, what world must he be living in to say “we won?”

To make matters worse, Republicans that try to do the will of the people are vilified. The Republican party has lost its way and, no longer represents a smaller, less intrusive government. I’ve had it with the Republican establishment. They have demonstrated over and over their allegiance to big  government and more debt, with less accountability. Their actions last weekend prove it.

Call me crazy, but going along with the administration is not what I call winning. The evidence shows that the establishment Democrats and Republicans won. It is a win that means America is the loser.

Wrong National Conversation

The national conversation surrounding the recent killings of unarmed black people by white law enforcement officers is not based on the truth or facts. It is based on stirring up racial tensions. The race hustlers and those consumed with white guilt, with the help of the media, have turned two facts upside down in order to push their agenda. Brown didn’t have his hands up in surrender. And Garner was not choked. You figure out why you believe all that is not true. I can help.

The Obama/Holder regime throws a bone to the dumb masses by saying they will end racial profiling. (Stick your chest out. Yeah!) Now know that it does not include or address what happened in either of those two cases. It is only for acts of the federal government, which should make us all feel a little less safe.

A few survival tips for thugs and other idiots that don’t show any respect for the law or law enforcement: 1) don’t try to disarm a cop, 2) don’t start a fight with a cop, 3) when a cop yells at you to STOP, listen to him/her, and 4) if approached by a cop who suspects you are breaking the law, do not resist. You’ll have a chance to prove him wrong. If he isn’t wrong, then at least you’ll still be alive and (for Eric Garner) get a thirty-second chance at turning your life around.

Both of those deaths would not have happened had the deceased followed those simple, civil, rules. And THAT’S where the national conversation should be.

Feinstein vs CIA

Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, released a report about intelligence gathering by the CIA of the terrorists held at Club Gitmo and elsewhere. The same interrogation techniques that they had been briefed on and approved of. And had even questioned the CIA whether it was enough to get all the information they felt they needed.

There seems to be general agreement, even from Feinstein herself, that the publication of the information contained in the committee report (assembled exclusively by democrats) will put Americans and our allies at risk.

So why would the committee produce such a report about a program that has not been used in eight years, and made “illegal” five years ago, and release it to the public, knowing that it will put Americans and allies around the world in danger?

First of all, look at the report itself. It is not the result of an investigation as we know it. No one involved was interviewed about it. The report is a compilation of emails and communications allegedly between CIA operatives and others. “Others” including foreigners and allies. It is a process that democrats in the intelligence committee have been working on for a decade. Part of the anti-war anti-Bush administration narrative we are all too familiar with. Another chance to beat a dead horse.

Due to the sensitive nature of those communications, the CIA did its own clandestine investigation of the members of Feinstein’s committee, to see whether the information they received was illegally obtained. After all, protecting national secrets and informants is their job. There’s been no suggestion that the CIA obstructed the committee in what it was doing.

Simply put, Senator Feinstein is exacting 40 million dollars worth of political revenge on the CIA for spying on her computers. And is also willing to put Americans and our allies at risk to do it. Nothing more than political masturbation at the country’s expense.
