Ideological Bigotry?

Here’s a little education for the Progressives on the left whose ideology allows them to be the biggest bigots in town, and who think communist oppression is OK. Like those on the Ring of Fire. Yes, it’s those “old throwback Miami Cubans.”

For Progressives, being young has its advantages. Especially when their idea of history begins 18 years after they were born. That way, it’s easy to ignore why the trade embargo was put in place on Cuba in the first place. And, was codified into law as recently as 1996.

In yet another move around Congress, President Obama is easing the embargo. Or to put it another way, is helping the Castro regime to oppress its people using U.S. dollars.

In Cuba, the oppression continues. The government still controls all economic enterprise. For the Castro brothers, doing the same thing over and over did get a different result. It’s called Barack Obama. For Barack Obama, keeping the embargo in place didn’t get the communist regime to get right on human rights in Cuba. So he thinks funding it with American money is better. What? That’s the liberal mindset.

Kim Jong Un BOOM!

So North Korea’s cyber warfare against the United States is on. And it isn’t just against Sony Pictures for their movie “The Interview.” The company that does security checks for the Department of Homeland Security was also hacked, and data of over 48,000 employees have been compromised too. Feeling more secure or safe now?

That Sony Pictures didn’t just tell North Korea to ‘stick it’ is one thing. Ditto for the movie theater industry. But this incident is more than Sony’s reputation. It is what wars are made of. And, it is about standing up for what Americans believe in, and what our government is supposed to protect. Not only is it supposed to protect us, and Sony, from attack from a hostile nation, but it is supposed to stand up for our rights under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Like the first one.

So, in solidarity with our rights as Americans, and because our president hasn’t the balls to address it directly, here is my contribution to standing up to that dirty little dictator and his communist ilk.

R’s Won, And D’s Didn’t Lose

Time was,  elections had consequences. Not so much any more. In 2010 Republicans, pushed and dragged by tea party conservatives (which also include democrats), gained a record number of seats in federal, state, and local elections. And, did nothing with it.

Instead of governing on the will of the people, President Obama gave them the finger. In 2014, Republicans gained more seats in the House and managed to gain 9 seats in the Senate. And President Obama continues to govern against the will of the people, on every important issue.

Now, despite the Republican majority in the House for four years, the current national debt tops $18 trillion, which is more than 100 percent of the national Gross Domestic Product.

So what does the Republican establishment have to say for itself? RNC chairman Reince Priebus writes me to say “We won.” By the evidence of the continued growth of the debt, the continued lack of a real budget, and the continued folding to an administration that is out of control, what world must he be living in to say “we won?”

To make matters worse, Republicans that try to do the will of the people are vilified. The Republican party has lost its way and, no longer represents a smaller, less intrusive government. I’ve had it with the Republican establishment. They have demonstrated over and over their allegiance to big  government and more debt, with less accountability. Their actions last weekend prove it.

Call me crazy, but going along with the administration is not what I call winning. The evidence shows that the establishment Democrats and Republicans won. It is a win that means America is the loser.

Wrong National Conversation

The national conversation surrounding the recent killings of unarmed black people by white law enforcement officers is not based on the truth or facts. It is based on stirring up racial tensions. The race hustlers and those consumed with white guilt, with the help of the media, have turned two facts upside down in order to push their agenda. Brown didn’t have his hands up in surrender. And Garner was not choked. You figure out why you believe all that is not true. I can help.

The Obama/Holder regime throws a bone to the dumb masses by saying they will end racial profiling. (Stick your chest out. Yeah!) Now know that it does not include or address what happened in either of those two cases. It is only for acts of the federal government, which should make us all feel a little less safe.

A few survival tips for thugs and other idiots that don’t show any respect for the law or law enforcement: 1) don’t try to disarm a cop, 2) don’t start a fight with a cop, 3) when a cop yells at you to STOP, listen to him/her, and 4) if approached by a cop who suspects you are breaking the law, do not resist. You’ll have a chance to prove him wrong. If he isn’t wrong, then at least you’ll still be alive and (for Eric Garner) get a thirty-second chance at turning your life around.

Both of those deaths would not have happened had the deceased followed those simple, civil, rules. And THAT’S where the national conversation should be.

Feinstein vs CIA

Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, released a report about intelligence gathering by the CIA of the terrorists held at Club Gitmo and elsewhere. The same interrogation techniques that they had been briefed on and approved of. And had even questioned the CIA whether it was enough to get all the information they felt they needed.

There seems to be general agreement, even from Feinstein herself, that the publication of the information contained in the committee report (assembled exclusively by democrats) will put Americans and our allies at risk.

So why would the committee produce such a report about a program that has not been used in eight years, and made “illegal” five years ago, and release it to the public, knowing that it will put Americans and allies around the world in danger?

First of all, look at the report itself. It is not the result of an investigation as we know it. No one involved was interviewed about it. The report is a compilation of emails and communications allegedly between CIA operatives and others. “Others” including foreigners and allies. It is a process that democrats in the intelligence committee have been working on for a decade. Part of the anti-war anti-Bush administration narrative we are all too familiar with. Another chance to beat a dead horse.

Due to the sensitive nature of those communications, the CIA did its own clandestine investigation of the members of Feinstein’s committee, to see whether the information they received was illegally obtained. After all, protecting national secrets and informants is their job. There’s been no suggestion that the CIA obstructed the committee in what it was doing.

Simply put, Senator Feinstein is exacting 40 million dollars worth of political revenge on the CIA for spying on her computers. And is also willing to put Americans and our allies at risk to do it. Nothing more than political masturbation at the country’s expense.

Whoops, He Did It Again

Giving cover to weak-kneed Republicans in the House, the weak-kneed House Speaker John Boehner passed a debt-increasing $1.1 Trillion Continuing Resolution. To add insult to injury, Boehner has the nerve to say “it’s a good bill.” The spending frenzy now goes to the Democrat-controlled Senate for approval.

Speaker Boehner has a habit of telling republicans how tough he’s going to be on cutting government spending and neutering Obamacare. And the 2010 and 2014 mid-terms show that that’s exactly what the folks want. But that’s only before elections. Once handed the power to be effective, he folds and kowtows to the regime.

It’s like the national debt topping $18 Trillion last week never happened.

Power Africa, Not So Much

Africa is beginning to feel about President Obama’s “Power Africa” initiative like Americans feel about his Affordable Health Care Act. They are learning to temper what he says against what he does. And, like Obamacare, the gap couldn’t be more wide.

A year later, the U.S. president’s flagship project for Africa has already achieved 25 percent of its goal to deliver 10,000 megawatts of electricity and bring light to 20 million households and businesses, according to its annual report.

But the five-year plan has not yet delivered the power.

Pearl Harbor Attacked 73 Years Ago Today

December 7th, 1941, “A Date Which Will Live in Infamy.” Or, until we elect a president that really doesn’t care all that much about America, its veterans, or its history. The White House, Dec. 5,  2013, Dec. 5, 2014. Presidential cut-and-paste.

“A Date Which Will Live in Infamy”: FDR Asks for a Declaration of War

The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941, stunned virtually everyone in the United States military. Japan’s carrier-launched bombers found Pearl Harbor totally unprepared. President Franklin Roosevelt quickly addressed Congress to ask for a declaration of war as illustrated in this audio excerpt. Although he never mentioned Europe or the fact that Germany had by then declared war on the United States, the Pearl Harbor attack allowed him to begin the larger intervention in the European war he had long wanted.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt: Yesterday, December 7, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

The United States was at peace with that nation, and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its government and its emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in the American island of Oahu, the Japanese ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to our secretary of state a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.

It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. I regret to tell you that very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.

Yesterday the Japanese government also launched as attack against Malaya.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam.

Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Wake Island.

And this morning the Japanese attacked Midway Island.

Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday and today speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.

As commander in chief of the Army and Navy I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense. But always will our whole nation remember the character of the onslaught against us. . .

And everyone thought that we would never see an attack on U.S. soil again. And until September 11, 2012, everyone thought we would always run to the aid of Americans under attack.
