PETA says, Give it some thought!

PETA says before you kill that bug, give it some thought first. PETA is all up in arms over Gov. Chris Christie taking care of business when a spider walked on his desk during a school visit. He did what any normal person would do. He got rid of it.

Ingrid Newkirk, president of People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals, described Christie’s killing of the spider as a thoughtless act.

“He probably did it without thinking. Some people put the spider outside, but spiders are often scary to people, and that can prevent them from pondering their worth,” Newkirk said.

Their worth? They have no meat to eat, they can make you sick or kill you. Maybe Ingrid was bitten by one. That would explain her idiotic reaction to how Christie handled the situation.

Federal Government Gone Wild

If you spent all the money in your bank account, and you didn’t plan to put any more money into it, would you close the account?

How about if the bank charged you a fee to keep that empty account open? You’d definitely close it then, right? It’s common sense.

This is going to make you mad: the federal government is paying fees on 13,712 empty bank accounts. That’s according to the Washington Post this week. And instead of closing the accounts, the federal government is paying $890,000 in fees for . . . nothing.

Where does that $890,000 come from? Your taxes.

Next time you hear a politician talk about cutting government waste, just know that he is not serious and just wants your vote, or this would never have happened. Had anyone ever kept their promise, don’t you think they would have made public their success? Have you seen such a list yet?

No ‘rest’ for Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev

No cemetery Mass, Conn, or New Jersey wants Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s body. And who can blame them? Even Imams are divided on the subject.

“I would not be willing to do a funeral for him,” said Imam Talal Eid of the Islamic Institute of Boston, a community services organization that frequently arranges funeral prayers and burials in the region. “This is a person who deliberately killed people. There is no room for him as a Muslim. He already left the fold of Islam by doing that. In the Quran it says those who will kill innocent people, they will dwell in the hellfire.”

Imam Suhaib Webb of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center, the city’s largest mosque, had a slightly different opinion.

“He should be buried according to the religious tradition he adheres to. His case is with God.

I agree with Suhaib. Since the religious tradition Tamerlan adheres to is exploding people in public, put him on a barge with some explosives up his ass rigged with a remote control. Give survivors of his deed the chance to take part in setting it off. It’s a win win.

On Benghazi Attack, Ignorance Abounds

At President Obama’s “news conference” today, when asked about eye witnesses (some in the State Department) being blocked, or barack_obama_presserotherwise pressured from coming forward, and requests by their attorneys for the necessary security clearances to represent them being ignored, President Obama claimed ignorance.

Q Ed Henry:   And on the Benghazi portion, I know pieces of this story have been litigated, you’ve been asked about it.  But there are people in your own State Department saying they’ve been blocked from coming forward, that they survived the terror attack and they want to tell their story.  Will you help them come forward and just say it once and for all?

THE PRESIDENT:  Ed, I’m not familiar with this notion that anybody has been blocked from testifying.  So what I’ll do is I will find out what exactly you’re referring to.  What I’ve been very clear about from the start is that our job with respect to Benghazi has been to find out exactly what happened, to make sure that U.S. embassies not just in the Middle East but around the world are safe and secure, and to bring those who carried it out to justice.

But I’ll find out what exactly you’re referring to.

Q Ed Henry:   They’ve hired an attorney because they’re saying that they’ve been blocked from coming forward.

THE PRESIDENT:  I’m not familiar with it.

There was no “Yes Ed, if what you are saying has any truth to it, I will help them come forward so the American people may know the truth in the matter. As you know Ed, this administration prides itself in being open, transparent, and forthcoming with the truth.” Maybe the President should assign someone in his administration to watch FOX news, the only network carrying the story?

Adding to the ignorance is Secretary of State John Kerry (who served in Vietnam). In classic John Kerry, his response was bi-polar.

  • First chastising Republicans pressing for answers to what happened on the night of the attack, and for not simply accepting “the conclusions of the Accountability Review Board empanelled by his predecessor, Hillary Rodham Clinton.”
  • Then seeming to agree with Republicans saying “We have to demythologize this issue and certainly depoliticize it. The American people deserve answers. I’m determined that this will be an accountable and open State Department as it has been in the past, and we will continue to do that, and we will provide answers.”

The only problem with his statement is the “as it has been in the past” part. Because his predecessor, Secretary of State Clinton, was anything but forthcoming with facts. Was forthcoming with the false story about a YouTube video.

Then a State Department spokesman denied that any requests by attorneys representing the whistle blowers were made. Which doesn’t jibe with Rep. Darrell Issa’s (R-CA) complaint that he had not received responses to four letters he sent to the administration calling for whistle-blowers’ lawyers to get the security clearances needed to represent their clients. Further, State Department spokesman Patrick Ventrell flatly denied that any employee had been threatened or told to remain silent.

Whether we’re looking at ignorance, or a cover-up, based on statements coming from The White House and the State Department, there’s plenty enough reason (not even counting the surviving family members’ need to know) to get to the bottom of what happened on the night of the attack. Including why no help was sent.

Boston Bombers Broke Gun Laws Too

According to Reuters, the two brothers suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings, who police say engaged in a gun battle with officers Boston-Bombersearly Friday after a frenzied manhunt, were not licensed to own guns in the towns where they lived, authorities said on Sunday.

Must be a little disheartening for the gun-grabbing lobby to learn that common criminals aren’t the only people who don’t obey gun laws. Islamic terrorists don’t obey them either.

Anyone still believe that making more restrictive laws on law-abiding citizens will take guns out of the hands of criminals and terrorists?

Like Jan Morgan said, “It seems the only people who adhere to the laws were those poor law abiding citizens who were forced to walk around defenseless while these murderous Islamic thugs were on the loose in their area looking for their next victims.”

Senate Says YES To Weapons Sales To Egypt

The U.S. Senate tabled the Paul Amendment to H.R.325, the debt limit bill. The amendment, introduced by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) would have prohibited the U.S. government from selling F-16 military aircraft, M1 tanks, and similar military weapons to the Egyptian egypt_arms_transfergovernment. The amendment failed, 79-19.

On the motion to table the amendment, which effectively kills it, all Democrats with the exception of two, voted Yes. Two Democrats did not vote; John Kerry and Patty Murray.

Voted YES: Republicans that voted with the Democrats in favor of the weapons transfer were: Lamar Alexander, Kelly Ayotte, John Barrasso, Roy Blunt, Richard Burr, Saxby Chambliss, Thomas Coburn, Thad Cochran, Susan Collins, Bob Corker, Michael Enzi, Lindsey Graham, Orrin Hatch, John Hoeven, Mike Johanns, Ron Johnson, Mark Mark, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, Robert Portman, Patrick Toomey, Roger Wicker

I contend that some of these Republicans are RINOs. But all of them have no spine to stand up for what is right, and acted recklessly with advanced military hardware. What is right is to not send these weapons to a country that hasn’t recovered from its last overthrow, and is poised to go through yet another one, where radical Islamists in the name of the Muslim Brotherhood are in power. To ignore that reality would be to our, and Israel’s, detriment. What is right is to wait until the dust settles and we have some assurance that these weapons would land into friendly hands, not making the Middle East a more dangerous place for our ally, Israel. The over 200 of these F-16’s that that Egypt already has is plenty for an unstable regime.

The following Republicans voted in favor of blocking the weapons transfer.

Voted NO: John Boozman, Daniel Coats, John Cornyn, Michael Crapo, Ted Cruz, Deb Fischer, Charles Grassley, Dean Heller, Mike Lee, Jerry Moran, Rand Paul, James Risch, Pat Roberts, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Jefferson Sessions, Richard Shelby, John Thune, David Vitter.

So Much To Celebrate?

The Media, President, and Sec. of State seen here 'playing the fiddle while Rome burns.'
The Media, President, and Sec. of State seen here ‘playing the fiddle while Rome burns.’

If you watched at least five minutes of either the Senate or House hearings on Benghazi, you know that Sec. of State Hillary Clinton is the best Sec. of State that the United States has ever had. Which explains why we may never know why four Americans were left to die at the Libyan Consulate in Benghazi.

What’s not to celebrate? Beginning with the Arab Spring which quickly turned in to the Arab Winter, the President and Sec. Clinton rightfully deserve credit for dispatching Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak so that the Muslim Brotherhood could fill the power vacuum. Words like ‘democracy’ were thrown around like Egypt had their own Declaration of Independence. Two years later, Egyptians are still rioting in the streets over their new dictator President who is also head of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization. Now Egypt has a new opposition group called the ‘Black Bloc‘ who don’t like the lack of religious freedom, worsening economy from what started the protests two years ago, and the dictatorial leadership from President Mohammed Morsi.

Then there is continuing high unemployment, record national debt in proportions amounting to generational theft, and a stagnant economy here. High energy and food prices. High, and getting higher, health care costs. Record number of people receiving government help, and growing.

Then there is a worsening Middle East, Syria in flames and alQaeda moving in, Iran nuclear, Northern Africa being overrun by alQaeda, North Korea nuclear, our Ambassador and three other Americans murdered by terrorists in Benghazi.

So much here to celebrate that there is speculation that, just like President Obama, Hillary Clinton may get a Nobel Peace Prize too! The interview on 60 Minutes even hinted at Sec. Clinton running for President in 2016. And why not? It is easier to throw gasoline on the fire by blaming everyone and anyone else than it is to accept responsibility for it and put it out.

Terrorist Catch And Release Program

I know we’re all supposed to forget about the four Americans killed in Benghazi – that was ages ago, and we had a presidential election that validates all the lies Obama and his people told about the incident, so it’s a clean slate all around. Those four “bumps in the road,” as Obama called them, have been paved over with a steamroller.

But for anyone who still cares, all of those big investigations and partnerships with local law enforcement touted by the President have resulted in exactly zero terrorists in custody. The one and only person held thus far in connection with the attacks, was just released by Tunisian authorities.

Leading From Behind Cost Lives

At one of President Obama’s rare press conferences yesterday, the closest he got to addressing the government’s reaction to the Benghazi massacre was as ambiguous as could be.

Q. On 9/11, as Commander-in-Chief, did you issue any orders to try to protect their lives?

A. I can tell you that immediately upon finding out that our folks were in danger, that my orders to my national security team were do whatever we need to do to make sure they’re safe.

We still don’t know when and how it was that he ‘found out.’ So far, we only know that the Consulate was attacked on two previous occasions in the preceding months. No steps were taken afterward to beef up security there, or to leave the city like the Brits and the Red Cross. He left the decision-making up to others. No help was sent. And our Ambassador and three other Americans were killed after a seven-hour-long battle.

He didn’t say anything like, ‘I told my national security team to get air support there. Get boots on the ground there.’ Nothing like that. What he did was cede his responsibility as Commander-in-Chief to his ‘national security team,’ leaving it up to them to give the orders that were his responsibility to give.

Turning over Commander-in-Chief responsibilities to unelected subordinates who are there to advise and take and execute orders is not only a neglect of duty, but irresponsible. And in this case, fatal.

Benghazi, Obama’s ‘Disqualifier’

Now the parents of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith and Glen Doherty know they were lied to.

Now, from the newly leaked emails, not from the President in the Oval Office, Charles Woods, father of former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, breaks the family’s silence.

Obama’s campaign goal (like all of his campaigns) has been to disqualify his opponent. In this case, Mitt Romney. And that hasn’t been going well lately as Romney seems to be picking up those treasured ‘undecideds’ and Independents.

The way President Obama has handled the terrorist attack in Benghazi disqualifies him to be Commander-in-Chief for another term. Leaking sealed divorce records are not required. Producing a birth certificate, school records, or passport records are not required.

Just from what we now know, from the weeks of the coverup, and not lifting a finger to help them, and telling CIA operatives who could help not to, President Obama has done to himself what he’s been trying to do to Mitt Romney.

Libya, A Distraction to Obama And Biden

Today’s White House press briefing confirms why Biden said in the debate last night, that the Consulate in Benghazi did not request additional (from practically nothing) security. Neither he nor Barack were interested enough or involved enough to find out.

When asked when, and whether, President Obama was updated in the PDB’s about the request for more security and why, as was revealed the day before in congressional testimony, Jay Carney could not answer in the affirmative. That’s how cavalier these people are about the war on terror.

Now Carney is defending Biden’s ignorance by saying that although the ‘administration’ was advised of the request for more security at the Consulate, that Biden and the President were not told. (Nor did they want to know. They’re liberals first.) Who would have thought that the ‘administration’ did not include the Commander-in-Chief and his number 2? They don’t talk to their Secretary of State? The Secretary of State doesn’t talk to her boss?

Carney’s statement . . .

MR. CARNEY: The Vice President was speaking about himself, and the President and the White House. He was not referring to the administration, clearly, since there was a public hearing for four and a half hours where it was discussed openly by individuals working at the State Department requests that were made. Obviously, he was referring to — he wasn’t talking about the administration writ large. He was speaking about himself, and the President and the White House. {emphasis added}

Obama and Clinton doing the Andrews AFB funeral show for Ambassador Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith and Glen Doherty.

Sean Smith’s mother is still waiting for answers from Joe Biden about her son’s death. Now, Joe Biden just told Mrs. Smith that not only were they not interested enough to be personally informed on the terrorist attack that killed her son and three others, but that their promises and condolences given her by them, while at her son’s casket, was what an uncaring Commander-in-Chief and number 2 look like. Uncaring for her son, and uncaring for her.

It is apparently too much to expect President Obama to have a sit-down ‘address to the nation,’ from the Oval office. The Empty Oval Office. It’s been over a month and still nothing  from the President (except the UN and morning TV) that resembles the truth about Libya up to and including the 10/16/12 debate. By contrast, his predecessor would have addressed the American people on the day of or the day after the attack. And do it from the Oval Office. Only without the choreographed story line.

This is Sean Smith’s mother, Pat, interviewed by Jeanine Pirro 10/14/12. Nothing has changed. She’s still waiting.

On a personal level, they’re disgraceful. On a national level, they’re dangerous.
