It’s not that oil from the BP rig has snuck up on us or anything. It’s been out there growing for over a month.

Locals here (Pensacola, FL) are expecting the oil to reach our shores by the weekend.

Which brings up the question, when do we protect our shores? Before or after the oil gets here? Exactly what is the emergency action plan again?
