Falling Gas Prices, Who’s To Blame?

When we see the price of a gallon of gasoline coming down, is there anyone giving credit to those oil speculators? According to the Obama administration, they unfairly control the cost of gasoline at the pump because they unfairly control the cost of crude oil. That’s their story and they’re sticking to it. So how’s that investigation into the speculators going?

Absent the chorus of salutations to the oil speculators (part of that market), one can only assume that Obama deserves the credit, or blame, for the gas prices falling. And in this case, that would be correct.

As usual, it is the market that affects the price of crude. And in this case, and you’ve heard Obama brag about how Americans are conserving by using less gas, this decrease in demand is causing the price to come down. He apparently believes in free-market economics only when it suits him. He is only half right in his analysis. Gas prices are coming down due to the falling demand for gas. But it’s not because Americans have suddenly turned into a bunch of conservationists, as he suggests. It is due to the depressed economy, rising unemployment, and generally less business, or any, activity overall. People, and businesses in general, are hunkered down and/or out of work. That’s why the demand is down.

Depressing the economy is not the way to lower prices at the pump.

Obama Campaign Fundraising Problem

It wasn’t that long ago we were hearing about the ‘billion dollar‘ campaign that Obama was going to have this time around. Now, the Obama campaign is not even looking competitive.

In an attempt to supplement the less than stellar campaign donor performance, the campaign has turned to capitalism via merchandising. With every issue lodged against Obaselling-obama-coverma over his record, a campaign fundraising letter is generated with a desperate tone of having to ‘fight back’ the bogeyman that wants to . . .

  1. send children brought into the country by their illegal alien parents back to Mexico.
  2. The country is not fair to them.
  3. And Republicans want to take away the health care that he wants to give them.
  4. And Republicans want to take away college Pell Grants that he wants to give them, so families can no longer afford a college education for their children.
  5. And Republicans want to take away the Social Security and Medicare of millions of Hispanic seniors citizens who depend on it.

President Obama just tweeted: ¡Obama! Show your support for the President: http://OFA.BO/Zd8XBe

The Obama campaign says . . .

Over the last four years, President Obama has been focused on restoring basic economic security to Hispanics and all Americans.

I don’t believe even they believe that now.  They are living the reality that more Hispanics are unemployed now than when President Obama began. And all the campaign can say is that he “has been focused” on bla bla bla. They know (don’t they?) that Obama concentrated first on getting Obamacare enacted. Not the economy. In fact, he said that fixing the economy depends on first getting health care ‘under control.’ That was his justification for pushing government controlled health care first, over economic recovery. It’s the hype, the lies, that isn’t flying any more. Hispanics in America hear the same words and see the same poor, and worsening, results.

And to show his compassion for poor, out-of-work Hispanics, he is asking them to chip in $5 for a stinking button. If they had their job, the Obama campaign wouldn’t be looking for money from people who can least afford to give it. Who’s helping who here?

Carter’s Second Term Is Here

That President Obama’s economic philosophy has created a failing economy as bad as the Carter years, the comparison doesn’t stop there.

In foreign relations, it was President Carter who gave Iran over to the radical Islamists. See how well that turned out? The Arab Spring in Egypt, that President Obama participated in and took credit for, has now delivered Egypt over to radical Islamists known as the Muslim Brotherhood.

So it is we have a second Carter term on the international stage. What’s next?

Sam Donaldson, CNN Throw Race Card

Sam Donaldson, renowned reporter for ABC, was interviewed yesterday by a CNN host. The subject was about people who disagree with President Obama over his lawless move to flip the bird to Congress with his ‘no deportation’ edict from the Rose Garden.

True to form, Sam says they disagree with Obama simply because he is black. That they are just a bunch of racists if they disagree with Obama. It’s not, he said, because of Obama’s policies (and extraconstitutional actions). The CNN host ended the segment there, saying how relieved he is to see that Sam and he are in agreement. They’re all just racists if they disagree with the president.

To illustrate the absurdity of the claim, CNN and the Sam Donaldson’s of the world would have you believe of these Americans now:

  1. We would be more than willing to welcome cap-and-trade with open arms, even if we paid a thousand dollars or more extra every year for our energy use, if Barack Obama were only white.
  2. We would be dancing in the streets celebrating the dawning of government control of our health care if only Barack Obama were white.
  3. It would be just dandy if government bureaucrats rationed health care for our parents, as long as the president is white.
  4. We would jump at the chance of the government owning ALL of the auto manufacturing companies .. not just General Motors … if the president just didn’t have dark skin.
  5. We would applaud those ACORN workers giving tax avoidance advice to a pimp and his prostitute if the workers hadn’t been black.
  6. Most Americans – even ones that don’t pay income taxes now – would be more than willing to give 70% of everything they earn to the federal government when asked … so long as they are asked by a white president.
  7. We would have been thrilled, I tell you … THRILLED to have all of those Islamic goons being held at Guantanamo be not only released, but sent to be school resource officers at our local government schools, if only a white president put that plan in motion.
  8. It would be OK if a white president stood back and allowed Iran to build its coveted nukes … we’re only unhappy about that because a black president is doing it.
  9. Deficits? We don’t care about deficits! Make our children and grand children and great grand children pay through the nose for our president’s spending habits … just so long as the president isn’t black.
  10. Government pork? Like we actually care? Look … you folks in Washington can spend all the money you want – how about more studies of the mating habits of Polish Zlotnika pigs? – just make sure it’s not a black president who signs the spending bill into law.
  11. We wouldn’t care if all illegal aliens were counted twice in the next Census … just so long as the president isn’t black.
  12. Those Black Panther thugs who threatened voters in Philly? The ONLY reason we’re upset that they were given a pass is because Barack Obama is black.
  13. Every single member of the president’s cabinet could be a tax cheat as far as we’re concerned … just so long as the president is white.
  14. Forced unionization? Bring it on! We love card check! We love the idea of union goons threatening and intimidating workers to sign a card saying they want to belong to a union! What we don’t like is that a black president is pushing this idea.
  15. Single-party talks with that Gargoyle that runs North Korea? It’s about time we legitimized that little pipsqueak. We’re only mildly upset here because the person who is doing that happens to be black.
  16. More regulation of the finance sector? We could care less! For all we care you can nationalize the banks and decree that only the government can make home loans .. .and you can even apportion those home loans on the basis of race if you want to … just so long as the president is white!
  17. Minimum wage? Like we care about that? Raise it to $15 an hour if you want! Just give us our white president back.

But I do weep for where this President has taken this country. He and his party using the race card against any and all opposition to advance their agenda is a disgrace. Which may explain to some extent why the media has been more a cheerleader than an inquisitor when it comes to the President and his policies. Otherwise they would have to characterize themselves as being racist.

There is nothing post-racial about Obama’s administration, Democrats in Congress, and his supporters. And every second that passes where Obama himself does not talk it down and put an end to it, is just digging their racial hole deeper.

Dropout Rate Too High?

When faced with a high dropout rate, which would you do? Would you look for weakness in the classrooms and school administrations (and Washington) and plan to improve them? Or would you raise the legal age for dropping out?

The former would solve the problem, for as much as it can be solved. The latter would reduce the rate and give the appearance of progress for a while, without actually doing anything. President Obama prefers the latter.

I know, sounds crazy. But there is a history of messaging the numbers where this administration is concerned. Most notably is how the BLS reduces (doesn’t count) the labor participation rate which, if no jobs were created, would cause the unemployment ‘rate’ to go down.

President Obama- ‘You’re the ultimate arbiter’

No! Not you. Are you serious? According to President (of the United States) Obama, the ultimate arbiters make up New York’s elite celebrities.

One thing about the Obama White House you can depend on. Under pressure, they begin to show themselves for who they really are.

And when you’re being out-raised by your opponent, something no one would have believed would be possible 15 months ago, the pitch becomes even more desperate.

Speaking in a dimly lighted, art-filled room, Obama told supporters they would play a critical role in an election that would determine a vision for the nation’s future.

“You’re the tie-breaker,” he said. “You’re the ultimate arbiter of which direction this country goes.”

The $40,000 a plate fundraiser party in Manhattan was for 50 of Manhattan’s élite celebrities. And they are the tie-breaker, the ultimate arbiter.

This event was also the ‘prize’ for a fund-raising lottery. Two ‘regular people’ (not sure if that means unemployed) were supposed to be Obama’s guests at that dinner. And these winners were to have the opportunity to offer their advice to the President for improving the economy and creating jobs. Haven’t heard how that turned out. Have you?

Obama As Himself In RNC Ad

Very effective video featuring President Obama’s economic message from now to eternity. April 3, 2012 in remarks before the National Press Club, and June 14, 2012, at what was billed as the big “framing” speech in Cleveland on how President Obama was going to create jobs and heal the economy.

http://youtu.be/RIL5xmSYj1o

It’s pretty clear, if you want more of the same fear, uncertainty, and doubt, and high unemployment, a stagnant economy, failing schools, a no-energy energy policy, more people out of work, and an expanding ‘poor’ population, then Barack Obama is your man.

Barack Obama’s Background

Obama’s past (from the 90’s, not the 60’s) is coming back again.  The post ‘The Real Barack Obama‘ from nearly four years ago details Obama’s political bent in the New Party, a socialist political party. And then some. Stanley Kurtz published Obama’s affiliation with the New Party in 1996 yesterday. We had it here a few years ago.

As in 2008, the mainstream media is ignoring it. You’ll see it in conservative outlets only. Certainly not in the New York Times.

Once you understand who Obama is, in a political and ideological sense, which you will know if you read the post, you will see how everything he has done to the country and still wants to do makes perfect sense. From his point of view. Which is why he must be defeated in November.

Wisconsin Voters Still Support Gov. Walker

With 27 percent of the votes counted, both FOX and CNN are projecting that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and his Lt. Governor Kleefisch keep their jobs by a landslide margin with 60% of the votes to the challengers’ 40%. That 20 percent spread is a wider margin than elected Gov. Walker the last time. Twenty percent is way beyond the voter fraud margin.

Tough luck for the public sector labor unions. If they had any sense, they would see the need to be competitive in the labor market, because the taxpayers (at least in Wisconsin) are holding their feet to the fire. And if they had any sense, they would realize that it was the governor’s policies that the legislature put into law that enabled them all to keep their jobs while at the same time turning a budget deficit into a surplus.

Big Labor’s free ride on ‘the government’ (aka taxpayers) is over.

Reaction to a Walker victory from DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Shultz (D-Fl) was enormously downplayed . . .

She said the June 5 recall is a contest with no implications for national politics. “It’s an election that’s based in Wisconsin,” she said.

The union’s know what it’s all about. As described by Patrick Martin.

[W]alker’s hard-line stance threatens their position as a secondary layer of management in controlling state employees.

The Walker victory today has the socialists calling for a split from the Democrat Party to form a third party.

The debacle in Wisconsin underscores the dimensions of the struggle now facing the working class. The defense of jobs, living standards and social services can go forward only through a mass rebellion against capitalism and the political domination of the financial aristocracy. This requires, first and foremost, a break with the Democratic Party and all its political apologists and defenders and the building of an independent party of the working class, fighting for a socialist program.

What a great idea. For them.

Update: Watching Gov. Walker’s victory speech live, thanking Wisconsins ?? on FOX. Checked to see what CNN was covering, and they’re re-playing the Queen’s Jubilee.  “CNN, the most trusted name in news.”   ROTFLMAO

Mia Love Breaking Barriers, Conservatives Rising

Meet Mia Love, running for Representative of Utah District 4. Mrs. Love is not your average republican. Aside from being the first black woman  to be elected to Congress, Mia Love is conservative, Black, and (not that it matters) a Morman.

Contrary to what Progressive pundits or the head of the DNC would have us believe, the Tea Party is not dead. They have merely become invisible. They are not in the streets any more. Instead, they are getting elected to basically save this country as we know it.
