Iran Wins Another Round With Delay

Ten years and counting. Learning from recent history, when it comes to their nuclear program, Iran knows that this administration is all bark and no bite. The deadline for compliance has come and gone. The solution? Instead of shutting down centrifuges, they have six more months of full-steam ahead development and production. Oh, and the monthly dole-outs of $700 million in frozen funds that began under the temporary nuclear deal agreed on late last year that led to the present talks, continue.

So How’s It Going?

Iraq is falling to pieces, again. ISIS and al-Qaeda are growing. Beheadings have become common and, a new normal. Russia is occupying. The Commander-in-Chief cuts military budgets and personnel while expanding their role. After withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, now that the mid-term elections are over, President Obama is sending the new smaller military back. Third Secretary of Defense in six years resigns. Iran continues to ignore the world in rolling back their nuclear weapons program.  China is eating our lunch. No one wants to eat Michelle Obama’s lunch. Not her lunch, the lunch she wants your kids to eat. The economy on Main St. is treading water. Long-term unemployment is growing. Average family income is falling. The “no-energy” energy policy is increasing energy cost. The Affordable Care Act fraud exposed. And cities are burning.

For Gaza, This War’s For You!

Weak-kneed politicians, like President Obama and Sec. of State John Kerry asking for Israel to cool it, are showing their ignorance and/or incompetence on the world stage where war is concerned. And casts doubt on how they might react if the United States was under attack like Israel has been. Leaving open borders already casts doubt on their idea of national security.

Recently, Joe Scarborough brought attention to himself on his ‘Morning Joe’ show for comments he made about Israel’s actions in Gaza. People, he said, just mis-understood what he meant. So he made it more clear yesterday.

He still contends that Israel is making their case (their case?) worse by fighting back. He’s forgotten what war is. Yes Virginia, wars still exist.

Yesterday he said . . .

Well, I think it’s simple enough but, Gene, let’s talk quickly about how Hamas, this is a great tragedy after the humanitarian crisis, Hamas, I saw some polls that said over 80 percent of people in Gaza hated Hamas, wanted them out. They were forced to strike a deal with the Palestinian authority. Egypt is against them. Saudi Arabia is against them. U.A.E. is against them. You go down the list. Jordan is against them. They were isolated. This is only serving to prop them back up and it’s the last thing in the long run that Israel needs.

Polls saying that 80% of people in Gaza “hate” Hamas belies the fact that, knowing Hamas’ goal of eliminating the Jewish State (Israel), those people in Gaza elected Hamas and put them in power.

As I recall, it was the PA that had an election there. It was the PA that also knew what Hamas was all about, and that the majority of people in Gaza were Hamas sympathizers. The PA knew what the outcome would be. They got what they expected. Which makes it simpler for Israel to deal with. They’re not responding to a radical minority, they’re reacting to an elected government that wants them all dead.

Gaza (Hamas) wages war on Israel, so Israel engages in war to defend themselves. In a war, civilians also pay the consequence. Besides Israel’s measured response, there are no “innocent civilians.” They are, by definition, Israel’s enemy.

How quickly we forget how hundreds of thousands, or millions, of people (innocent civilians) were killed during WWI and WWII. No one was bellyaching about “the children.”

There will never be peace in that region until one side wins, and the other side either gives up or dies trying.

Surrender-in-Chief

President Obama, our elected Commander-in-Chief, has demonstrated over and over his naiveté in foreign policy. If you can point to one successful, tactical foreign policy decision, then you’re a magician because there isn’t one. North Korea, China, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Russia, Ukraine, Egypt, Eastern Europe’s missile defense shield, Israel, Lebanon, Arab Spring, Red Lines.

Likewise, his military acumen as a warrior is totally laughable. Except for the fact that he is responsible for our sons and daughters in harm’s way. He fights wars based on timetables instead of results. And he announces them, not just to his political hacks but, to the enemy. He creates a false narrative about the Benghazi attack, and broadcasts apologies to the Islamist goons in Pakistan about a movie that they likely never saw. As if they will do anything other than laugh at his amateur hour.

Withholding judgment whether Bowe Bergdahl is a deserter (an investigation will tell), this latest prisoner swap (he does negotiate with terrorists) is yet another example of how far Barack Obama will go to 1) stick it to the military, 2) appease terrorists in hoping (“hope” is not a strategy) that they’ll like us, 3) let these 5 terrorist kingpins go free after one year (who were supposed to be detained until the cessation of hostilities, ie. indefinitely). That is, if Qatar doesn’t release them or allow them to escape beforehand, and 4) he finally has a chance to give preference or weight to an Islamist goon, over an American. When the era of slavery was coming to an end, there was a time when slaves counted as 3/5 of a person. But today, President Obama (who claims to be Black) has a chance to exercise a little payback. Bergdahl weighs in at 1/5. One American, in exchange for the 5 most dangerous terrorists on the planet.

And that makes sense to who? Makes one think that President Obama is on the wrong side in this war. Problem is, he thinks he’s on the right side.

Threat Assessment, In Case You Missed It

Here’s a minute and a half of how well things are going in the world. From our “greatest” Secretary of State to the current one, and five years of “leading from (his) behind.”

Can’t imagine why you aren’t seeing this on the major news networks. You?

Full transcript HERE.

Looking back over my now more than half a century in intelligence, I’ve not experienced a time when we’ve been beset by more crises and threats around the globe. My list is long. It includes the scourge and diversification of terrorism, loosely connected and globally dispersed, to include here at home, as exemplified by the Boston Marathon bombing and by the sectarian war in Syria, its attraction as a growing center of radical extremism and the potential threat this poses now to the homeland.

Let me briefly expand on this point. The strength of the insurgency is now estimated at somewhere between 75,000 to 80,000 on the low end and 110,000 to 115,000 on the high end, who are organized into more than 1,500 groups of widely varying political leanings. Three of the most effective are the Al- Nusrah Front, Ahrar al Sham and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, as it’s known, whose numbers total more than 20,000. Complicating this further are the 7,500-plus foreign fighters from some 50 countries who have gravitated to Syria. Among them are a small group of Af/Pak al Qaida veterans who have aspirations for external attack in Europe, if not the homeland itself.

And there are many other crises and threats around the globe, to include the spillover of the Syrian conflict into neighboring Lebanon and Iraq, the destabilizing flood of refugees in Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon, now almost 2.5 million, a symptom of one of the largest humanitarian disasters in a decade.

The implications of the drawdown in Afghanistan: This year, as the chairman noted, is a crossroads, with the drawdown of ISAF, the presidential election, and whether the bilateral security agreement is signed. Key to sustaining the fragile gains we’ve made is sustained, external financial support.

The deteriorating internal security posture in Iraq, with AQI now in control of Fallujah, and violence across Iraq at very high levels. More than 5,000 civilians were killed in Iraq in 2013, which is a made — made that year Iraq’s deadliest since 2007.

The growth of foreign cyber-capabilities, both nation states, as well as non-nation states; the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction; aggressive nation state intelligence efforts against us; an assertive Russia; a competitive China; a dangerous, unpredictable North Korea; a challenging Iran, where the economic sanctions have had a profound impact on Iran’s economy and have contributed to the P5- plus-1 joint plan of action . . .

President Obama, Managing America’s Decline

In a matter of two months, Josef Joffe’s book ‘The Myth of America’s Decline’ has a become its own myth as China surpasses the US as the world’s china-exportslargest trading nation.

China became the world’s largest trading nation in 2013, overtaking the US in what Beijing described as “a landmark milestone” for the country. China’s annual trade in goods passed the $4tn (£2.4tn) mark for the first time last year according to official data, after exports from the world’s second largest economy rose 7.9% to $2.21tn and imports rose 7.3% to $1.95tn.

As a result total trade rose 7.6% over the year to $4.16tn. The US is yet to publish its 2013 trade figures, but with trade totalling $3.5tn in the first 11 months of the year, it is unlikely to beat China.

The shift in the trading pecking order reflected China’s rising global dominance, despite a slowdown in economic growth last year.

There are 92 million Americans without a job who don’t need to be convinced that Obama’s economy is a disaster. And 15 million Americans who have lost their health insurance policies don’t need to be told that the nation’s health security is a disaster. Worse than it was before Obamacare. And our allies around the world already know that we are an unreliable ally, too eager to subjugate our own interests, and theirs, for some naive world view that if we will be nice to our enemies that they will be nice in return. Iran and al-Qaida just love President Obama. And they and the rest of the world just laughs at him.

Mr. Joffe’s book has all the ingredients of being right, except for the assumption that America has a President and congress intent on keeping  America strong. Starting with his apology tour, our president acts like he is embarrassed by our number one ranking in military and economic strength, and sees projecting that strength for the benefit of ourselves and our allies as being an obnoxious bully. He has set out to “right those wrongs” and is succeeding, to our detriment and that of future generations of Americans.

Iran Deal, Great For Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

A week after the big “deal” with Iran is complete, we begin to see just what was in it and what led up to it. Who is surprised to see that the Obama/Kerry team pretty much surrendered to Iran for the sake of saying they had reached a deal?

Iranian scientist Mojtaba Atarodi is released in April after being arrested in the U.S.
Iranian scientist Mojtaba Atarodi is released in April after being arrested in the U.S.

Turns out, not only did the deal include Iran not having to dismantle anything, while we give them billions, and certain more economic sanctions are lifted, but we turned over to Iran a nuclear scientist caught buying nuclear weapons components for Iran, in exchange for two hikers. Leaving behind former FBI agent Robert Levinson (captive since 2007),  former U.S. Marine Mr Hekmati arrested by Iran in 2011 on accusations of being a spy when he visited the country to see his grandmother, and  American Pastor Saeed Abedini, imprisoned since July 2013 for being a Christian.

Remembering a tough-talking candidate Sen. Obama in 2008 saying “If they bring knives, we will use guns.” Of course, he was talking about his Republican opponents then. Where America’s real enemies are concerned, he’ll bring a white flag, foreign aid, and some crying towels.

Obama: Nuclear deal blocks Iran’s path to bomb. REALLY?

That “the deal” is a first step to blocking Iran’s path to the bomb, is like the Affordable Care Act is the first step to affordable and better health care to Americans. Who believes Obama any more?

Then there is the throwing of American Pastor Saeed Abedini under the bus. A U.S. citizen imprisoned by Iran because of his faith, by reaching a deal with Iran that  eases sanctions and provides “humanitarian relief” while Abedini stays in an Iranian prison.

And to say that this is the first step is to ignore the years, decades, of sanctions against Iran that have failed miserably to do what they were supposed to do. Now we’re saying OK, never mind. Let’s come up with another shell game to not make us look like complete idiots and you can go on with your nuclear ambitions.

irannukedeal.govThis doesn’t end anything in Iran. Making concessions to Iran’s ending their nuclear enrichment and nuclear bomb ambitions is like playing Russian Roulette with a fully-loaded revolver.

Only difference is the gun isn’t pointed at Obama’s head. It’s pointed at Israel, our troops within range in the region, and our other so-called allies in the Middle East by conventional means. Then through Iran’s terrorist ties to Main Street USA by non-conventional means.

Iran isn’t as big a threat to the United States and the world as President Obama is with his dangerous and naive foreign policy.

Obama Secretly Eased Sanctions On Iran

obama_rouhani
You can’t keep your health care plan. But Iran can keep their nuclear weapons plan.

For years, decades, Iran has been under increasing sanctions for the purpose of what? Discouraging them from developing nuclear weapons. The kind of nuclear enrichment they continue to do has nothing to do with producing electrical power or anything in the field of medicine.

So easing sanctions on Iran’s financing, without them first dismantling something of their nuclear capacity does what? It enables Iran to continue to develop their nuclear program.

So not only does our president negatively impact Americans with a sluggish economy and an unaffordable takeover of the health insurance and health care industries. Now he’s going all out and endangering the world, the Middle East, and our ally there, Israel, by easing sanctions on Iran without any concessions from them. Did I say he secretly lifted sanctions?

So basically it’s like this. Iran can keep their nuclear weapons program, but you can’t keep your health insurance policy or your doctor, or both.

The boy is dangerous to everyone, everywhere around the world. And yes, I’m calling Obama a boy because his judgement isn’t any better than a 9 year old. And his lies are monumental.

Obamacare, Opportunity Missed?

Listening to President Obama demagogue Republicans for trying to help Americans from the harm that Obamacare is doing to them, their families, their jobs, and their health care plans, coupled with the sympathetic media supporting him, exposes the alternate reality in the political arena today.

President Obama said yesterday that the Republicans want to deprive you from getting affordable health care offered for the first time in history. That Republicans are willing to shut down the government to deprive you of the opportunity of getting affordable health insurance. And that’s the message you hear from the media.

What you don’t hear from the media is this:

  1. Obamacare isn’t being offered to you for the first time in history. For the first time in history, the federal government is, under threat of being penalized with a fine, ordering you to buy a health insurance policy. And not just any health insurance policy, but one that the federal government approves of, else you get penalized with a fine.
  2. Obamacare is killing jobs and depressing the economy. The President has a handful of people used as props, who have a story about how Obamacare helped them. The media isn’t showing you people who have been laid off or had their hours cut because of Obamacare. Which was the point of Sen. Ted Cruz’s 21 hour speech on the floor of the Senate over the weekend.
  3. The media coverage of Sen. Cruz’s speech was centered around the Democrat talking point of Republicans being obstructionists. They completely ignored the content of Cruz’s speech, which merely highlighted all that was wrong with Obamacare.
  4. Media coverage of Cruz’s speech was reported like a horse race. As in, what did Cruz hope to accomplish by fighting a no-win fight? And how this will hurt Republicans in the 2014 election? Not a peep about how Obamacare is hurting Americans and the American economy.
  5. That it was President Obama and Harry Reid that did not accept any of the three (four if you count H.R. 2300, the Empowering Patients First Act of 2013) compromises Republicans offered to keep the government open.
  6. The irony that President Obama brags about talking to terrorist supporting regimes like Iran and Syria, but not his own Congress.

To characterize opposition to Obamacare as depriving you of a wonderful and historic opportunity, is like being deprived from having a perfectly good limb amputated.

Eleven Months Ago, Romney-Obama Third Debate

Not that it will change a thing, but here’s a little mental exercise to see if you can tell who the adult in the room is. Of course, many people knew who the adult was. He just didn’t win.

On Russia:

OBAMA: Governor Romney, I’m glad that you recognize that Al Qaida is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not Al Qaida; you said Russia, in the 1980s, they’re now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.

On Middle East:

OBAMA: So, what — what we need to do with respect to the Middle East is strong, steady leadership, not wrong and reckless leadership that is all over the map. And unfortunately, that’s the kind of opinions that you’ve offered throughout this campaign, and it is not a recipe for American strength, or keeping America safe over the long haul.

Listen to Romney on Putin, recalling Obama telling Medvedev to tell Putin that he’ll have more flexibility after the election.
