Rally? What Rally?
There was supposed to be a ‘raise the minimum wage’ rally downtown last evening. Organized by a local labor union.
I couldn’t be there. Had to work. But I wanted to see a fat protester holding up a sign whining about having to work for a ‘starving wage.’ (found a pic on google)
So it was with eager anticipation to check the local newspaper this morning to see what happened. Nothing there. Zip, zero, nada. Nothing in the local alternative media either. Feeling a mild case of Schadenfreude here.
UPDATE: 11/11/2015 Thanks to one of the participant’s feedback, the “rally” wasn’t really a rally. I was mistaken. Instead of a rally, it was a “forum” held somewhere in town. Probably a union hall somewhere. Regardless, there was no rally. And no news coverage of the forum either. I mean really, who thinks labor unions would want the folks to know why they are supporting raising the minimum wage, for non-union workers?

Happy 240th Birthday United States Marines
On November 10, 1775, the Second Continental Congress meeting in Philadelphia passed a resolution stating that “two Battalions of Marines be raised” for service as landing forces with the fleet. This resolution established the Continental Marines and marked the birth date of the United States Marine Corps. Serving on land and at sea, these first Marines distinguished themselves in a number of important operations, including their first amphibious raid into the Bahamas in March 1776, under the command of Captain (later Major) Samuel Nicholas.
In a related matter, is the statement President Obama made at a Ramadan dinner at The White House where he praised Muslim’s attending of Islam’s contributions to “the American way of life.”
I know of only ONE thing that Muslim’s are responsible for that contributed to “the American way of life.” The founding of the Marines in November 1775 during the times of the Second Continental Congress. Before George Washington became our first President. Their contribution was their pirating merchant ships, stealing the cargo and killing the crews in the Mediterranean Sea. As the Marine anthem goes “From the Halls of Montezuma To the Shores of Tripoli…” They were formed to protect shipping from pirates at first. Then grew into a force that can protect our country. That’s what I see as Muslim’s only contribution to America and our way of life. Your mileage may vary.

Appeals Court Upholds Injunction On Obama’s Executive Orders
The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans upheld a May injunction by a Texas court, dealing a blow to Obama’s plan to circumvent Congress, the only body that can make or change immigration laws.
At the same time, the court affirmed what President Obama said, no less than 22 times. He has no authority to take unilateral action on Immigration.
- March 31, 2008: “I take the Constitution very seriously. The biggest problems that we’re facing right now have to do with [the president] trying to … not go through Congress at all. And that’s what I intend to reverse when I’m President…”
- May 19, 2008: “I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States.”

Letter Of Withdrawal 2016 Presidential Campaign
On March 15, 1781, elements of the Continental Army and State militias in the Southern Campaign achieved, and through a tactical loss, what would become recognized as the pivotal point in the American Revolutionary War. In a relatively short battle that took place in the woods around the Guilford County Courthouse; a field of honor I often visited near my childhood home in North Carolina; there, General Nathaniel Greene made a crucial decision to withdraw his forces after sustaining a 6% loss, while his opponent, General Cornwallis, suffered, and in his victory, a 25% loss. General Greene, having smartly disengaged to preserve forces for the battles yet to unfold, demonstrated, once again, his exceptional leadership and insight; the same that would prove invaluable to succeeding battles, some tactical losses too, but all contributing significantly to the battles that collectively achieved independence for our nation.
Today, and following the exemplary leadership of General Greene, I recognize it is time to disengage from my pursuit to become, in 2016, the executive servant of the people. I do so too while my resources are fully capable to continue the engagements in the just-battles yet to be waged in our unrelenting mission to Restore America’s Blessings. Unfortunately, many of the battles to come, as with those to this point, will not be with the anticipated opponents of another political party, but with the apparatchiks of the Republican Party and national news media who have commandeered, with the Democrat Party, the election process; a commandeering for purposes specific to their undisclosed agendas rather than an agenda in the best interest of our nation.
To each of you who have contributed your time, talents, kind words and prayers to my campaign, I can never thank you enough. I wish there were 100-plus million more Americans like you who took the time to examine and compare the details proposed, or not, by the candidates and then make a truly-qualified decision to favor a candidate, or not. Basing such a decision on personal examination, rather than choosing from among those discriminately promoted by the media and national-level political committees, will be a major step in the right direction to restore to each of us that which has been more often surrendered than seized.
As I bring this engagement to a close, I do so with a commitment to continue advancing our message of national restoration among the American people. Such advancement will come through new political pursuits that I and, prayerfully, you will undertake, and through an organization that will focus on recognizing those candidates who support the ideals of the Constitution while exposing those who do not. Together, we can alter the course upon which this nation has been diverted away from that envisioned by the Founders and restore to both ourselves and our posterity the blessings of life, liberty and the pursuits of happiness that were to be guaranteed to each of us through our Constitution.
I pray that God blesses you, your family and our nation with an abundance of His grace and mercy.

Obama Caves To Greens, Rejects XL Pipeline
Moving right along to govern against the will of the people, President Obama, and his sidekick Sec. of State John Kerry, rejected the largest energy-related infrastructure project in decades, the Keystone XL pipeline.
What the media calls a victory for “the greens,” the American people call a government that operates for special interests who put dollars in campaign coffers. Which is why Gallup comes up with this, “Americans Name Government as No. 1 U.S. Problem.”
Despite the State Department’s own environmental impact study which says having the XL Pipeline will reduce carbon emissions compared to not having it, President Obama turns out to be against it for political reasons instead of for it for economic and scientific reasons. (It’s what community organizers do.)
Canadian tar sands are likely to be developed regardless of U.S. action on the pipeline, the report said, and other options to get the oil from Canada to Gulf Coast refineries — including rail, trucks and barges — would be worse for climate change.
Since this oil is going to be extracted anyway, what is to gain by not allowing the XL pipeline? That’s easy, it will be carried on Warren Buffet’s (Obama contributor and activist) railroad, with the exploding trains instead?
And did I mention that the American people think government is the number one problem? And who’s been in charge again?

Tuesday’s Winners And Losers
Scanning the mainstream media today, you would be hard-pressed to find out that there was even an election yesterday. But there was.
What happened is the same that happened in 2010, 2012, and 2014. Republicans picked up more seats and Democrats didn’t. Starting with the 2010 midterms, after that election, the Democrats lost 700 seats. This is governorships, state senate, state house races, town council. As far down the ballot as you want to go, 700 seats. After the 2014 midterms, add another 500. They’re down 1200 seats. Now, last night, or yesterday, here are the numbers as we start business today. Republicans control 68 of 98 state legislative chambers.
Conservatism Wins
It would be wrong to say that Republicans, as represented by the RNC, won. Rather, conservatism won. Liberalism lost. Maybe the RNC will get a clue from the electorate and stop supporting Obama’s agenda and start supporting the will of the people who elected them. Like 68 out of 98 state legislative chambers. (I’m not holding my breath on that one.)
Kentucky made history. Kentucky elected the first Republican governor in 40 years. Matt Bevin, a Tea Party Republican, won handily, despite all the polls to the contrary. History was also made with the election of Bevin’s running mate, Lt. Gov. elect Jenean Hampton. The first African-American ever elected to a Kentucky statewide office. Lt. Gov. elect Hampton is also a Tea Party Republican. It’s no wonder the media mute today.
But it doesn’t stop there.
Other than North Caroline, the South had a great night last night. The Democrat Party was rejected over and over and over again. Liberalism was sent packing over and over and over again. Barack Obama — because he’s the leader of liberalism and the Democrat Party — by virtue of his association, he was rejected over and over again yesterday. Candidates who advocated for gun control were sent packing.
Candidates who wanted Obamacare expanded were waved sayonara. People that stood up for the climate change argument? The voters just swept those people away.

Liberal cities saw a similar reaction. In Houston, the voters stood up for traditional moral and social values, rejecting the transgender notion that men can use women’s facilities despite of what is in their underwear. Voters in Ohio rejected legalized marijuana. In sanctuary city San Francisco, voters threw out the Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi, who freed the 5-time deported illegal alien and repeat felon who killed 32-year-old Kate Steinle. Vicki Hennessy, a former sheriff’s official beat Mirkarimi by a 2 to 1 margin.
But it was more than just that. The meme from the media and Democrats about Republicans is, don’t talk about social issues, it will kill you. These election results proved the exact opposite. Fear not. Your vote is more powerful than any media outlet or lying politician.
Press Secretary Coulter?
A couple nuggets from Ann Coulter’s latest column. There are plenty more there, but read it for yourself.
When Trump attacks, he targets the rich and powerful. When the elites attack, they target the average American and everything he cares about.
Christians obsessed with ostentatious shows of religiosity in public life have basically the same disease as liberals who go around being offended all the time. It’s all posturing. Trump’s a Christian. This is a Christian country. How about helping keep it that way?
If Trump ultimately gets to The White House, could you imagine having Ann Coulter as Press Secretary? No better choice to articulate a position and keep the liberal media in its place than Ann.
Unlike most press conferences, those press conferences would be the most informative, widely viewed and distributed. And as an added bonus, for debunking the media’s meme, she would just drive the mainstream media nuts.

Immigration System And The Meme
One of the biggest lies perpetrated on the American people is over immigration. The lie is “the immigration system is broken.”
Enforce the law and see how well it works. Allowing sanctuary cities to exist is not a fault of immigration law. That has nothing to do with immigration law. End them.
Democrats, the Chamber of Commerce, and RINOs are the ones claiming the system is broken, and that “comprehensive” immigration reform is needed. What that means is amnesty, striking current immigration laws, not enforcing them, open borders, and chain immigration.
The first two want illegals but for different reasons. For Democrats, illegals are a ready-made constituency, already familiar with socialism and eager to get the free stuff Democrats are offering. They are, essentially, undocumented democrats. 30 million of them.
The Chamber of Commerce looks at the illegals as cheap labor. They don’t care about the law or the negative pressure they place on wages of American citizens. Cheap(er) labor means more profits.
The establishment Republican Party want’s “comprehensive immigration reform” because they believe the meme that they’ll not get elected without supporting it. Not only a total pander, but a meme not based in reality. Romney’s loss was not because he didn’t get more Hispanics to vote for him. Romney lost because 3 million republicans stayed home.
All the groups pull out the straw-man argument that “we can’t round up 30 million people and deport them.” No one is suggesting any “round-up.”
The solution is simple and, not extreme. Enforce existing law.
Ceiling? What Ceiling?
Treasury Secretary, Jacob Lew, has warned that the U.S. will breach its “debt ceiling” on November 3, if Congress does not act to raise it. While raising the debt ceiling has been used in the past as a leverage point for negotiations on other issues, President Obama indicated on Friday that he would veto anything less than a “clean bill” to raise the limit. The House is expected to vote on the bill next week. House Freedom Caucus members will likely oppose the bill, meaning outgoing Speaker John Boehner will have to rely on Democratic votes as he “clear the barn” of these contentious issues before passing the gavel to a successor.
As if doubling the national debt during his term isn’t enough, the agenda of the political class in Washington could not be more clear. The word “ceiling” means nothing, and making a real budget is not in the future either.
