New Hands Up, Don’t Shoot

It never occurred to me that a Commander-in-Chief would call the wife of a man who gave his last measure for his country, to insult her, her family, and all fallen soldiers. But according to Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL24), that’s what happened.

Rep. Wilson has created her own version of “hands up don’t shoot.” Because like the hands up don’t shoot meme, Wilson’s account of the sympathy call President Trump made to Myeshia Johnson, wife of Sgt. La David T. Johnson, was not real either.

Turns out that Rep. Wilson is a family friend of Mrs. Johnson. Which is why she was with her and her two children when the president’s call came.

Rep. Wilson said on Wednesday . . .

“What he said was, ‘I guess he knew what he was signing up for but it still hurts.’ That’s how he said it.”

Creating a false narrative, then using it to attack a political party or person is not new for Democrats. It’s used all the time.

  • There’s this one used to attack Trump, who she always has despised and made no bones about it.
  • The “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” story, debunked. Did not happen.
  • The “Russian Dossier, ” totally fabricated, was used to start an investigation to explain why Hillary lost, by collusion between Russia and Trump. (Haven’t found any Russians yet, but they’re still looking. And won’t end it for lack of evidence.)

But what good is lying to attack the opposition if you can’t lie to help yourself?

  • Benghazi Attack 9/11/2012, was a result of an internet video. A lie.

As told not just to you, but to the Gold Star parents beside their son’s casket.  That lie was to save Barack Obama’s re-election bid, after campaigning by saying al-Qaeda is on the run. Had to be solidarity in the lie, so there was, by President Obama, Sec. of State Clinton, and Ambassador Rice, echoed by the media ad nauseum.

It remains to be seen in this case whether we are seeing another media/democrat meme that Trump doesn’t treat the military and widows with respect, or whether we’re just talking about the mental capacity of Rep. Frederica Wilson.

You know the experiment where you have 20 people who pass a message from one to the other, and how the message is different by the time it gets to the last person? In Wilson’s case, she can’t handle person #1.

In her quote above from the NYT, she quotes what, according to her, Trump said. Then followed by “That’s how he said it.”  So which is it? Is that how he said it, or is that, in fact, what he said?

Given her hatred for Trump, and not a friend of veterans, chances are very good that’s what she heard, even though that’s not what he said.

Here she is today, pleased with how she has become a “rock star” since the call. That she would use that occasion like a campaign stop is disgusting.

If not wacky.

Feeling Uncomfortable?

I don’t know about you, but seeing “news” reports about some person/group feeling uncomfortable and the expectation that government will “fix” it for you pisses me off.

Keeping well, as in not sick, is a priority of personal responsibility. Feeling “uncomfortable” is not an illness. It’s a state of mind. So if something makes you uncomfortable, deal with it on your own.

The Declaration of Independence lists three unalienable rights. They are the right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. There is no guarantee of happiness. Nor is there a Constitutional protection to feel happy. It’s called personal responsibility. You are free to pursue it. How successful you are is totally up to you.

Despite what the media and Democrats in Washington will tell you,  it’s not the job or responsibility of government to make sure that nobody feels uncomfortable. It is this destructive practice of identity politics that they use to gain two things, power and control. If they can convince you that you are a victim, and they are the solution, they are counting on getting your vote. The Constitution be dammed.

The only result of a growing and all-powerful government is less of all three. Less life, less liberty, and less chance to pursue happiness.

Some people just need to get over it and grow up.

History, Statues Fall

About ten days ago, in the wake of the Charlottesville clash between some racists and communists, Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward decided to jump on the statue removal train. He is for removing the Confederate statue in Lee Square of Confederate soldier Ellsworh Perry, from downtown, where it has been for 126 years when it was dedicated in 1891.

There is an absence of civil discourse on this subject because of the way it is practiced by the political Left, Progressives, Democrats and Antifa, the communist anarchist club. No pun intended, but they do use clubs. To them, if you are against removing a statue from the Confederate/Civil War era, then you are a racist, pure and simple. And, nothing you could say can, or will, cause them to change their mind on the subject, or about you.

This is as close to a reasoned opinion as you’re going to find. From The Pulse.

We can choose to hold fast to the wrong side of history, to cling to relics that glorify a shameful and immoral period in our past, or we can reject them and acknowledge that Confederate symbols are divisive, outdated, and un-American, and have no place in our public spaces in 2017.

Historical perspective? Both sides of the Civil War were composed of Americans. Soldiers and volunteers from both sides of the war, all Americans, were not pondering which side of history they would be on, let alone wondering what people in 2017 might think of them. 500,000 Americans (and their families) who died in the war,  were making history.

And much to the chagrin of Democrats, the United States of America became the first country to specifically ban slavery.  Not only that, but the first country where the people limited the government. Unlike where they (or anyone else at the time) came from, where the government controlled the people. American Exceptionalism, another concept Democrats like President Obama will deny, comes from these formative years of American history. Our heritage. Democrats have been on the wrong side of civil rights ever since, living on the wrong side of history.

Anyone may ignore American history. Anyone may be offended by American history. And anyone is free to offer an opinion about it. History, for any one who cares, is to learn from and understand what happened at that time, compared to where we are today. In short, giving perspective of where we were, and where we are.

In their time, slavery wasn’t the invention of the Confederate States. Slavery existed on every continent. Slavery still exists today. It even existed in the native American tribes. It is unfair and wrong to judge people from another time by today’s understanding and belief.  Removing statues does nothing to change history, nor should anyone try. That’s what the Taliban does.

So if you happen to be driving down South Palafox in Pensacola and you pass a park with a monument in the middle of it, you believe what you want to if or when you see it. Everyone else will do the same. Just don’t make matters worse by going Taliban.

PCC Wins M.R.I.O.T.D. Award

Pensacola Christian College wins the Most Ridiculous Item Of The Day award for expelling Allen Armentrout, a student who peacefully exercised his 1st Amendment right in Charlottesville, VA last week.

His statement to the Pensacola News Journal was ignored by his school, who apparently succumbed to the media meme that you must deny your ancestors and history, else you’re a violent Nazi White Supremacist.

The college administration failed to show a violation of their rules that would apply to someone exercising their 1st Amendment right. Makes one wonder if any of the anarchists who actually were violent were expelled from school?

“I have been released from my school and will be unable to return to college to finish my senior year. I’m processing this and making adjustments to my life to compensate for this scrutiny.”

He does not deny the history of this country or his family.

Armentrout later told the News Journal he made the trip to Virginia because the KKK, Neo-Nazis and other groups are destroying the history of his ancestors and he wants to share “the true history” of the American South. He said Neo-Nazis have wrongly “latched on” to Confederate history.

One thing is certain, he is consistent in his convictions. Here he is in Pensacola last March.

What’s different this time? The national “news media” made him famous, and he exercised his 2nd Amendment right too! Oh the nerve.

For this reason, Pensacola Christian College wins the Most Ridiculous Item Of The Day award.

Can you say “lawsuit?”

The Anarchists Are Coming

You’ve seen them in Berkely, in Charlottesville, and in Durham. I’m speaking of groups like Antifa, formerly of the “Occupy” generation, only more violent. Funded in part by George Soros funded groups. Rent-a-mob for all practical purposes.

Rewind to 2008, when the country was so full of hope and change. Americans elected the first Black president. Americans thought, wrongly so, that this would be the end of racial strife and we could all relax. Eight years later, Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lost to an outsider. Not just an outsider, a Republican outsider.

Blaming everyone but herself for her loss, Hillary was a most ungracious loser by launching what she called “The Resistance.” And, soon to be joined by President Obama.

Since then, Democrats have played the race card on a daily basis, and, every other sub-set of society they can delineate card. And what better way to exploit Race than to attack Robert E. Lee, a Confederate general who opposed both slavery & secession–to symbolize the evils of slavery & secession.

The result, civil unrest. Democrats thrive on it. They incite it, and if all hell breaks loose, it is somehow justified.

Tom Perez, the new head of the Democratic National Committee, did his part to incite unrest by this email he sent out Tuesday night. After President Trump’s third condemnation of the violence, Perez blasts an email (below) from the DNC.

Don’t hold your breath until someone from the Fake News Media puts a mic in Sen. Schumer’s (or Obama, Clinton) face and asked to comment on Chairman Perez’s lie about Trump and calling for democrats to “Rise and organize.” And, in light of the civil unrest going on in the country, does he think it is responsible to encourage violence?

In light of what’s going on in Pensacola today about removing a Civil War Era monument, don’t be surprised if the Clinton/Obama/Perez/Soros inspired anarchists arrive in Pensacola some day.

Pensacolans Need To Know

OK, so now it’s time to be a little pro-active. And I mean, pro-active over demonstrations getting out of hand, like we saw in VA and NC. Where the police were held back until it was too late.

We deserve to know that if a legal and permitted protest or demonstration is going on, the police will be there to insure the safety and the protection of the permitted group and their constitutional rights, should a rowdy and violent group (from any side) try to crash it, disrupt it, and hurt people.

Pensacolans need to know! We want to get the Mayor, the Pensacola Chief of Police, and the Escambia County Sheriff on the record, TODAY. Do you have our back from a public safety standpoint, or not? There is no gray area in public safety, or the 1st Amendment.

You Don’t Say . . .

Post Charlottesville, a teachable moment has presented itself in how the media and their tools, that would be the Democrat Party, work.  As described HERE, what happened in Charlottesville was in no way representative of the people who live there, Virginians, or Americans in general.

Another thing you can count on is the reaction from the media and party activists like Mary Anne Marsh. They see everything from their identity politics prism. They do not see America in a macro sense like Trump and most Republicans do, as Americans within a border. They only see many disparate groups of people as victims. And as such, present themselves as the solution to those affected and, or course, Republicans as the reason for their troubles.

This is the reason the media and agitators like Mary Anne Marsh rush to the TV camera and mic to call out President Trump for what he did not say. You see, if you call out the violent behavior as perpetrated by “many sides,” which was the case, then you are accused of being supportive of a group who participated in the violence that they choose to name.

Make no mistake about the reason for their faux outrage and bogus accusation. That Trump is protecting those people “who supported him” in the presidential campaign by not calling them out. See, the way Barack Obama operates, you call them out right away, before you know the facts. Well, unless they were Islamists, then we caution not to jump to conclusions. Remember how the “police acted stupidly,” and Trevon Martin was so innocent and, if he had a son would have looked “like him?” This is how Democrats are programmed. It’s in their genes, jeans and panties.

So when Mary Anne Marsh says oh, President Trump did not say that he condemned Neo-Nazis, or Racists, or Fascists, that it is because they are supporters of his, and that makes him a proponent for same. As if any candidate can control how someone votes and who they support. Democrats do control how dead people vote, but that’s another story.

But it doesn’t stop there. The meme has to be to connect not only Trump to these racists, but everyone who voted for him too. She listens to David Duke, like she listens to Kim Jong-un, when the racist Duke says that Trump was fulfilling his commitment to America. In her and the media’s little mind, that is a “dog whistle” that means he supports racists and anarchists; not creating jobs, boosting the economy, or protecting our national security.

Confirming all of that, is her assertion that “Most of America is starting to turn their back on Donald Trump . . . the world, and Republicans.”

None of which could be further from the truth. Bottom line, this is how they roll, and, hopefully will lead to the irrelevance of the Democrat Party, where the haters really are.

Not Charlottesville

The problem with history is not that it is history. It’s that some people today either deny it, or don’t know it, which manifests itself with all this monument nonsense. You either want history to stay where it belongs, or you want to resurrect it for political (if not revolutionary) gain.

What happened in Charlottesville was in no way representative of the people who live there, Virginians, or Americans in general. Virginia is in “the South,” History is what it is.

To illustrate, below are two tweets from Dinesh D’Souza.

Here are some of the “many sides” of fringe groups where violence comes from. Some of which were on display in Charlottesville, VA yesterday.

  • Antifa
  • Neo-Nazis
  • BLM
  • KKK
  • White Supremacists
  • Black Supremacists
  • Muslim Supremacists

Now if you want to include where some of the motivation for these groups come from, you can look to where you should least expect it. From the media, and Democrats in Washington. Partners who like to conflate 1st Amendment rights to speech and assembly with anarchy, for which there is no “right.”

This is what defending the 1st Amendment looks like.

Back the Blue.

Pawns Of Liberals, Safe Communities

Ordinary black people cannot afford to go along with the liberal agenda that calls for undermining police authority. That agenda makes for more black crime victims. Let’s look at what works and what doesn’t work.

In 1990, New York City adopted the practice in which its police officers might stop and question a pedestrian. If there was suspicion, they would frisk the person for weapons and other contraband. This practice, well within the law, is known as a Terry stop. After two decades of this proactive police program, New York City’s homicides fell from over 2,200 per year to about 300. Blacks were the major beneficiaries of proactive policing. According to Manhattan Institute scholar Heather MacDonald — author of “the War on Cops” — seeing as black males are the majority of New York City’s homicide victims, more than 10,000 blacks are alive today who would not be had it not been for proactive policing.

The American Civil Liberties Union and other leftist groups brought suit against proactive policing. A U.S. District Court judge ruled that New York City’s “stop and frisk” policy violated the 14th Amendment’s promise of equal protection because black and Hispanic people were subject to stops and searches at a higher rate than whites. But the higher rate was justified. MacDonald points out that while blacks are 23 percent of New York City’s population, they are responsible for 75 percent of shootings and 70 percent of robberies. Whites are 34 percent of the population of New York City. They are responsible for less than 2 percent of shooting and 4 percent of robberies. If you’re trying to prevent shootings and robberies, whom are you going to focus most attention on, blacks or whites?

In 2015, 986 people were shot and killed by police. Of that number, 495 were white (50 percent), and 258 were black (26 percent). Liberals portray shootings by police as racist attacks on blacks. To solve this problem, they want police departments to hire more black police officers. It turns out that the U.S. Justice Department has found that black police officers in San Francisco and Philadelphia are likelier than whites to shoot and use force against black suspects. That finding is consistent with a study of 2,699 fatal police killings between 2013 and 2015, conducted by John R. Lott Jr. and Carlisle E. Moody of the Crime Prevention Research Center, showing that the odds of a black suspect’s being killed by a black police officer were consistently greater than the odds of a black suspect’s being killed by a white officer. And little is said about cops killed. MacDonald reports that in 2013, 42 percent of cop killers were black.

Academic liberals and civil rights spokespeople make the claim that the disproportionate number of blacks in prison is a result of racism. They ignore the fact that black criminal activity is many multiples of that of other racial groups. They argue that differential imprisonment of blacks is a result of the racist war on drugs. MacDonald says that state prisons contain 88 percent of the nation’s prison population. Just 4 percent of state prisoners are incarcerated for drug possession. She argues that if drug offenders were removed from the nation’s prisons, the black incarceration rate would go down from about 37.6 percent to 37.4 percent. The vast majority of blacks in prison are there because of violent crime — and mostly against black people.

That brings us to the most tragic aspect of black crime. The primary victims are law-abiding black people who must conduct their lives in fear. Some parents serve their children meals on the floor and sometimes put them to sleep in bathtubs so as to avoid stray bullets. The average American does not live this way and would not tolerate it. And that includes the white liberals who support and make excuses for criminals. Plain decency mandates that we come to the aid of millions of law-abiding people under siege. For their part, black people should stop being pawns for white liberals and support the police who are trying to protect them.

The above, Pawns of Liberals, was graciously lifted from Walter E. Williams, professor of economics at George Mason University.

Voter ID, Soft Bigotry

If you don’t pay attention to what the media, liberal-stacked federal courts, and the Democrat politicians in Washington have to say about shoring up voting integrity, you will be surprised to learn that they say Latinos and Blacks, above all other people, are incapable of getting a photo ID. And because of that, having to require a positive identification is called voter suppression, even racist.

That was the reason Wisconsin and Texas were met with push-back when the people in those states voted for voter ID.

Last year, federal courts curbed or nullified Republican-backed laws making it harder to vote, saying they reduced turnout by Democratic-leaning minorities, deliberately or otherwise.

Texas’s strict voter-ID law was among them. A federal appeals court ruled last year that the law hurt Latinos and African-Americans, who were less likely to have the IDs. It later ordered state officials to change their public education campaign on new ID rules.

This bogus meme dates back to the 1990’s when “motor voter” laws were enacted by then democrat controlled Washington. Motor voter means if you can get a driver’s license, you can register to vote at the same time. Not surprisingly, many states like Washington, do not require proof of citizenship to get a driver’s license.

Also not surprisingly, the two groups targeted as being discriminated against, are ones that traditionally register Democrat. For Democrats, it doesn’t matter if they run across the southern border or are shipped in as “refugees” from anywhere in the world.

The 2016 Democratic Party platform declares, “we will continue to fight against discriminatory voter identification laws, which disproportionately burden young voters, diverse communities, people of color, low income families, people with disabilities, the elderly, and women.” Yet, at their own convention, it seems like a different set of rules apply.

To those groups that the media and the Left say are disenfranchised because they just can’t get a valid picture ID, here is your challenge. If you want to vote, picture/voter ID’s are free for the asking. And, you have two years to get one.

If ending voter disenfranchisement is ever to be tackled, it isn’t going to come from not requiring a valid voter ID that verifies citizenship. It will come from requiring one.
