“Could Have Been Me 35 Years Ago”

Two can play that game Mr. President.

If you were Trayvon 35 years ago, it would have spared the country from . . .

  • record unemployment
  • a stagnant economy
  • high energy prices
  • high food prices
  • union bailouts
  • a move towards socialism
  • Obamacare
  • the dilution of “equal justice under the law” with your inclination toward “social justice” and “racial justice”
  • your lawless administration that selectively enforces laws, especially current immigration laws
  • your Attorney General ignoring voting rights laws (New Black Panthers in Philadelphia)
  • your dozens of unaccountable Czars
  • using the Federal Govt. and its agencies to oppress (and attack, George Zimmerman) the citizens
  • abuse of voting and first amendment rights (IRS)
  • attacks on second amendment rights
  • racial tensions fueled by you not seen since the 60’s.
  • Did I mention voting rights abuse?

The Country, And Justice, Is Failing

Don’t know about you, but the country I once knew is starting to become unrecognizable, fast. We had Presidents that would keep our country secure. And would call for calm when the need arose. We had a justice system that was the envy of the world. A nation of laws, not men. When justice was “blind” and there was “equal justice under the law.”

Who knew that the justice system would go after a private citizen like George Zimmerman? No, would target a private citizen like President Obama’s Department of Justice is doing. Going on television and in every news broadcast, soliciting input from the nation for a way to put one of its citizens behind bars. That, after having already been through the judicial process and found not guilty by a jury of his peers.

Who knew that after having gone through the legal process with a jury trial, there would then be elected representatives in the nation’s capitol making slanderous accusations about this citizen, and claiming that “justice” has not yet been served? That something more needs to be done to this citizen. Never mind that this citizen has no job or resources left to support his family after having to defend himself in a long and drawn out legal battle.

And it doesn’t stop there. Aside from the government coming down on this citizen, there are national organizations like the NAACP calling for this citizen to be tried again for something, anything that they could find (having found nothing in the preceding 18 months) that would show this citizen to be a racist. The attacks on this citizen are coming from all areas public and in the government.

Innocent until proven guilty? Now, it’s guilty after proven innocent. The judicial process has been turned on its head. What’s worse is that all of this persecution is sanctioned by the President himself. He’s not calling for calm. He’s not calling for an investigation of the IRS scandal, but he instead, supports a witch hunt on a citizen, the justice system be damned. This from a man who said he was going to be the post-racial President in a post-racial administration. Who believes that now?

If I didn’t know better, I’d swear I was living in the former Soviet Union, Communist China, Cuba, or a host of other corrupt countries where the people are subjects of the government. Not in a country where the government protects its people.

That’s the state of our State. And it didn’t get this way by accident.

And integral part of the “fundamental change” President Obama and his acolytes are implementing is the bastardization of the justice system through the introduction of some modifiers. Social Justice and Racial Justice. And from there the sky is the limit. Why not have a little economic justice? Check, we have that too.

No, this is not the country it used to be by a long shot. When political considerations like “social,” “racial,” and “economics” are introduced, equal justice under the law is by definition, extinct.

The good news is, you don’t have to accept it. You have the power to change it at the ballot box. Let’s get busy.

Holder Advocating Against Blacks

Proving that Eric Holder is politicizing the Zimmerman case, he is fomenting opposition to Florida’s “stand your ground” law, which was not even part of the Zimmerman case, and claiming that it is making Florida more dangerous. Liar liar, pants on fire. Since Florida’s stand your ground law, violent crimes in the state fell by 23 percent. It is not getting worse like Holder would have you believe. And you know what else? Blacks (or “his people” as he calls them) benefit more, disproportionately more, than whites in Florida from the stand your ground law.

Black Floridians have made about a third of the state’s total “Stand Your Ground” claims in homicide cases, a rate nearly double the black percentage of Florida’s population. The majority of those claims have been successful, a success rate that exceeds that for Florida whites.

Nonetheless, prominent African Americans including Holder and “Ebony and Ivory” singer Stevie Wonder, who has vowed not to perform in the Sunshine State until the law is revoked, have made “Stand Your Ground” a central part of the Trayvon Martin controversy.

So not only is his version of justice not blind, he is advocating the revoking of the basic human right of self-defense from the very people who are benefiting the most from it, for purely political purposes. This clown must go.

Piers Morgan, Jeantel Thought Zimmerman Was Gay

In the most revealing and most unreported interview from the prosecution’s main witness, Rachel Jeantel, Rachel puts in perspective what her conversation on the phone with Trayvon was about. And race had nothing to do with it.

When Trayvon told Rachel that he was being followed by a creepy-ass cracker, Rachel interpreted that to be that Zimmerman was following him because he was a gay, and possibly a predator. And she told Trayvon that. Which, with that mindset, does explain why an altercation ensued. Trayvon wasn’t going to let Zimmerman rape him or follow him home to his father’s house where is little brother was. A sick way of profiling people, but that’s Rachel.

Sure takes the wind out of the racist sails now doesn’t it? Now that this is out, pay attention to how much attention is paid to her statement from the media, the race hustlers, and the gay community. Zimmerman is looking more the victim, than the victim.

Piers Morgan’s question: “But you felt that there was no doubt in your mind from what Trayvon was telling you on the phone about the ‘creepy ass cracka’ and so on, that he absolutely believed that George Zimmerman, this man — you didn’t know who he was at the time, but this man — was pursuing him?  And he was freaked out by it?”

JEANTEL:  Yes.  Definitely. After I say, “Might be a rapist.”  For every boys or every man, every who’s not that kinda way, see a grown man following them, would they be creep out?  So you gotta take as a parent. You tell a child, “You see a grown person follow it you, run away,” and all that.

I’ll tell you one thing that creeps me out. The CNN audience that begins applauding after she said that.

Nothing Racial About Owning A Gun

President Obama today tries to tie the death of Trayvon Martin to gun violence. Why is it that having and using a gun in self-defense is perceived as something racial? Does he understand that legally having a concealed weapon can save a the life of a Black man too? Concealed carry permits are issued regardless of race. It’s an easy four-step process. But depending on where you live, steps one and two may be more difficult.

  1. Live to be 21.
  2. Have no criminal record.
  3. Have no drug addictions or mental illness.
  4. Live in a concealed carry or open carry state.

Race Industry In Search Of Another Hero?

Although Trayvon Martin’s past has nothing to do with events on the night he met George Zimmerman, it is relevant on the subject of profiling. What was Trayvon doing in Sanford, since he lives in Miami Gardens? Having time off from school, being suspended for 10 days, he went to trayvon_martin_no_limit_niggaSanford to stay with his father. Just one of multiple school suspensions for Trayvon. George Zimmerman wasn’t the first person to think that Trayvon Martin was acting “suspicious.”

In October, a school police investigator said he saw Trayvon on the school surveillance camera in an unauthorized area “hiding and being suspicious.” Then he said he saw Trayvon mark up a door with “W.T.F” — an acronym for “what the f—.” The officer said he found Trayvon the next day and went through his book bag in search of the graffiti marker.

Instead the officer reported he found women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that he described as a “burglary tool,” according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald. Word of the incident came as the family’s lawyer acknowledged that the boy was suspended in February for getting caught with an empty bag with traces of marijuana, which he called “irrelevant” and an attempt to demonize a victim.

Nothing against Trayvon or his parents who lost their child in the most unfortunate circumstance, but for Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump to say “Trayvon Martin will forever remain in the annals of history, next to Medgar Evers and Emmett Till as symbols for the fight for equal justice for all,” using Trayvon and raising him to the level of Medgar Evers in a civil rights struggle is, or should be, an insult to him and his parents.

ICE Enabling Illegals, “Reverse Escorting”

Ready for another thumb in your eye America? How many times has this lawless administration fought against supporting faith-based organizations for the work they do in helping the poor and otherwise disadvantaged? Well, they’ve figured out now how to use them to suit their political purpose. They are using ICE to escort illegals illegal_aliensapprehended not back into Mexico, but to ‘sanctuary’ churches up north.

marcorubio2Despite the pleas from Sen. Marco Rubio to trust him and S.744 v2.0, the newly amended immigration deform bill, there is absolutely no expectation that this administration will abide by it when now, instead of escorting illegals back to their home country, they’re escorting them into our country.

Sorry Senator. Any legislation that resorts to politicians saying “trust me” is bad legislation. We don’t have to trust you, and shouldn’t be asked to trust you, when there is transparency. You sir better look at what they are doing instead of what they’re saying or the next escort will be your constituents escorting you from D.C. back to Miami.

County Advances To Top Spot, For Syphilis

According to the Escambia County Florida Department of Health . . .

Since 2010, Escambia County has seen an increase in the number of reported cases of syphilis each year. Prior to 2010, we averaged from 20-25 cases per year. In 2012, we had a total of 106 cases of syphilis reported in Escambia County. Currently, Escambia County is ranked #1 in the state of Florida for the number of cases reported.

Between the contaminated waters, and syphilis, it seems we have a lot more to worry about than what kind of development unrelated to a park is going to be built in a “park.”

The health department’s website recommends the following:

You could have syphilis and not even know it. A syphilis infection may have no signs or symptoms. The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County recommends that any sexually active residents get tested.

  • Syphilis spreads by direct contact with syphilis sores. It can be passed from mother to baby during pregnancy.
  • Symptoms may include the following:
 ͦ  Painless sores
ͦ  Body rashes
ͦ  Patchy hair loss
  • Some people never have symptoms.
  • Syphilis sores may disappear, but the disease will continue to progress.
  • Syphilis is treatable, but left untreated it can be deadly.

If you are sexually active, see your primary care physician to get tested or go to:

Bayou Texar Closed Again, v2.0

Not only Bayou Texar, but Bayou Chico and Bayou Grande as well. The Florida Department of Health officials advise against any water-related activities at those locations due to the potential for high bacteria levels.

In Support Of Private Sector Health Insurance

The hubris of supporters, media included, of the Affordable Health Care Act, aka Obamacare, never ceases to amaze me. It begins to look foolish when deception is combined with ignorance. Case in point is writers like these who demagogue the private health insurance industry, portraying them as greedy corporatist one-percenters. Their buzz words. Making money hand over fist.

The health insurance industry isn’t the one to demonize for having excessive profits. On its face, that anyone has the right to decide whether a profit is excessive is preposterous. That’s what fascist economic models are all about. In a free-market economy, consumers, not politicians,  decide who survives and who fails in the marketplace. And the profits, if any, are for the owners and investors, the ones who took the risk to offer a product, or service, to sell. Their profits do not belong to the government. Works that way in every industry not government-controlled. Former lefty talk show host Sen. Al Franken and current lefty talk show host Mike Papantonio can tell you about the ups and downs (mostly downs) of Air America Radio.

Lefty Huffington Post declares “Insurer Profits Are Up In The Wake Of Health Care Law They Oppose.” That, referring to a Bloomberg article entitled “Insurers Profit From Health Law They Fought Against.” Which morphs into this on far left Ring of Fire Radio1, “Health Insurance Make Threats to Spike Rate, Despite Record Profits.”

Faced with the reality that Obamacare is going to force insurance carriers to raise their premiums or go out of business, the meme is all about those mean rich insurance companies, already raking it in, and wanting to gouge consumers even more. One problem, and here’s where the ignorance and demagoguery comes in. The articles wrap their argument around net income and operating profit margins. Neither of which are net profit.

They don’t know what they’re talking about, and they’re spreading a false narrative to demonize insurers and idolize Obamacare.

What is a profit margin? It is the percentage of the income that is left over after all expenses. The numbers in the HuffPost/Bloomberg source are of operating margins and do not include expenses like interest payments, tax, depreciation, and amortization. After paying those expenses, you are left with the net, as in last, profit margin.

The profit margin for the Health Care Insurance industry is 3.5%. Ask yourself how they are to stay in business when the federal government under Obamacare expects them to hold or lower premiums, accept all pre-existing conditions, and add 20 or 30 million more policyholders on a 3.5% margin? It can’t happen. And that is Obama’s intent. It will cause the health insurance providers to drop that part of their business and insure something else or just fold. At that point, Obama reaches nirvana. A total single-payer government-run health care system that will be less efficient and more expensive than ever.

To add a little perspective that the Left doesn’t want you to know, here are the profit margins of other industries.

  • Beverages 25.9%. Included in that percentage are Breweries 37.3%, Soft Drinks 13%
  • Biotechnologies 16.1%
  • Banks 13.7%
  • Oil & Gas Drilling and Exploration 10.3%
  • Gas Utilities 7.7%
  • Food 7.2%
  • Electric Utilities4.9%
  • Oil & Gas Pipeline 4.1%
  • Health Care Plan Providers 3.5%

Law firms go from 5% to 60%, and average out at 30%. Wouldn’t it be interesting to know how greedy, by their own standards, the Levin-Papantonio Law Firm is? Makes one wonder what their profit margin is?
