The Other Mandela

Well, it’s really the same one. But, despite his travails for human rights and equality in South Africa that included 27 years in prison, there’s his support for Hamas in their never-ending attacks on Israel. And you may also not be aware that South Africa is today the murder capital of the world. And then the atrocities his wife committed while he was in jail.mandelaarafat15

Some people, like Mandela, just were not comfortable saying that Israel had a right to exist too. Buying into the Palistinian’s cry for Israel to give up land lost to them in their 1967 war on Israel. They should have considered the consequences of losing a war of aggression against a sovereign country. They might also consider themselves lucky that Israel stopped where it did. Oh well.

Which reminds me of another similarity between President Obama and Nelson Mandela, besides the color of their skin. They both wanted Israel to leave themselves vulnerable to further terrorist attacks and shelling from Hamas by giving up the security zone they claimed as the spoils of war. What they really mean is, peace for everyone, except the Jews.

As long as the media is focusing their attention away from Obamacare and onto Nelson Mandela, you may as well get the whole picture of the man.

“A Date Which Will Live in Infamy”: FDR Asks for a Declaration of War

The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941, stunned virtually everyone in the United States military. Japan’s carrier-launched bombers found Pearl Harbor totally unprepared. President Franklin Roosevelt quickly addressed Congress to ask for a declaration of war as illustrated in this audio excerpt. Although he never mentioned Europe or the fact that Germany had by then declared war on the United States, the Pearl Harbor attack allowed him to begin the larger intervention in the European war he had long wanted.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt: Yesterday, December 7, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

The United States was at peace with that nation, and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its government and its emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in the American island of Oahu, the Japanese ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to our secretary of state a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.

It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. I regret to tell you that very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.

Yesterday the Japanese government also launched as attack against Malaya.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam.

Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Wake Island.

And this morning the Japanese attacked Midway Island.

Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday and today speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.

As commander in chief of the Army and Navy I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense. But always will our whole nation remember the character of the onslaught against us. . .

And everyone thought that we would never see an attack on U.S. soil again. And until September 11, 2012, everyone thought we would always run to the aid of Americans under attack.

Sorry Mr. Obama, You Are No Nelson Mandela

The world lost a great leader and human rights advocate yesterday with the passing of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. He made the needed transformation of the world by living through apartheid in South Africa that included 27 years in prison for speaking out against racial discrimination where the White minority ruled and the Black majority had no voice.

Quick to draw comparisons between President Obama and Nelson Mandela, the media and The White House are off. Last night on CBS News, Scott Pelley reported “Nelson Mandela kept in his office a photograph of himself with another trail-blazing president: The first black president of the United States, Barack Obama.  The photograph was taken when Mandela visited Washington in 2005, and Mr. Obama was then a brand-new United States senator from Illinois.”

Also yesterday, The White House tweets a picture of President Obama standing inside the prison cell where Mandela spent 27 years of his life. His cell was a museum when the photo was taken.

The two are so much alike if you pay attention to skin color. Sorry Mr. President, but you are no Nelson Mandela. Comparing the two Presidents, one was a uniter, the other is a divider.

Judging from the content of their character, below are some quotes from these men. Who said them? Here’s a hint. Two of them are Mandela’s. Five of them are Obama’s.

  6. “We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”

Give yourself a smiley face if you attributed the first two to Nelson Mandela.

Obama’s Approval, Trust, At All Time Low

With President Obama at the helm for five years, the majority of Americans now believe America is headed in the wrong direction. Polls show President Obama with the lowest approval rating for his job performance, and trust. And with good reason.

The course he is taking this country, consistently for five years now, can’t be by accident or arguably, incompetence. That would be an excuse. But his determination, lawlessness, and the people he surrounds himself with, not to mention his own public declarations; spread the wealth, fundamentally transform America, and “irresponsible debt” before it wasn’t irresponsible, you can keep your plan, you can keep your doctor, etc.. And taking into account his influences and tutelage from childhood up to elected office by communists, Marxists, terrorists and revolutionaries (William Ayers), there is only one conclusion to be drawn. It is deliberate, and it’s because he doesn’t like America as it is and as founded.

It would be one thing if the President would recognize he is not doing what the people want him to do. But he isn’t listening. He’s listening to a different drummer. His ideology. His far left, collective ideology trumps everything. The people, the law, the constitution. Everything.

Sorry to say, and as unbelievable as that sounds, that is the man we elected President. Twice. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice . . .

Croatia Defines Marriage As Man+Woman

The banner proclaims ‘Marriage equals woman plus men, everything else is something different’

Croats voted overwhelmingly in favor of defining marriage in the constitution as a “union of man and woman” on Sunday. Croatia now shares its constitutional definition of marriage with Belarus, Poland, Moldova, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Serbia.

Almost 66 percent of those who voted in the referendum in the new European Union member endorsed the initiative, launched by the Catholic group “In the Name of the Family”, according to preliminary results on Sunday night. Turnout was 37 percent. The vote was not surprising given that 90 percent of Croatia is Roman Catholic.

Current law in Croatia states that marriage is between a man and woman. The point of the constitutional referendum was to insure that no laws would or could change that definition, short of a constitutional amendment which would need a two-thirds vote, 66 percent. Despite the overwhelming majority of the effort to put it in the constitution, the Croatian government was opposed to it but will comply with the referendum. The government will be making laws to grant equal rights to same-sex couples instead of changing or expanding the definition of the word. It is also considering changes to the constitutional referendum process to restrict the ability for the public to start changes to it.

It is instructive to see the liberal bias in the news reporting of the referendum. More than just defining the meaning of the word in the constitution, there are headlines like “Same-sex marriage ban divides Croatia” and “Croatians Vote Against Same-Sex Marriage.” Choosing automatic victim status, in true liberal fashion, Croatians didn’t vote for the normal definition of marriage, they voted against gays. There was no same-sex marriage ban. In Croatia, same-sex marriage isn’t now and never has been legal. And if anything, the referendum united Croatia on what marriage is. It didn’t divide it.

Iran Deal, Great For Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

A week after the big “deal” with Iran is complete, we begin to see just what was in it and what led up to it. Who is surprised to see that the Obama/Kerry team pretty much surrendered to Iran for the sake of saying they had reached a deal?

Turns out, not only did the deal include Iran not having to dismantle anything, while we give them billions, and certain more economic sanctions are lifted, but we turned over to Iran a nuclear scientist caught buying nuclear weapons components for Iran, in exchange for two hikers. Leaving behind former FBI agent Robert Levinson (captive since 2007),  former U.S. Marine Mr Hekmati arrested by Iran in 2011 on accusations of being a spy when he visited the country to see his grandmother, and  American Pastor Saeed Abedini, imprisoned since July 2013 for being a Christian.

Remembering a tough-talking candidate Sen. Obama in 2008 saying “If they bring knives, we will use guns.” Of course, he was talking about his Republican opponents then. Where America’s real enemies are concerned, he’ll bring a white flag, foreign aid, and some crying towels.

Rosa Parks Police Report

Today in 1955, Rosa Parks claimed her civil right to exist which kicked off the civil rights movement. Leading up to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that passed with more Democrats than Republicans voting against it by nearly 2 to 1. The House version of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was supported by only 61 percent of that Chamber’s Democrats versus 80 percent of the Republicans.

It was Republicans that ended a filibuster by Democrat Senator Robert C. Byrd, preventing a vote on this bill in the Senate. 82 percent of Republicans voted for cloture versus 66 percent of Democrats.

In the final Senate vote on the Act, 82 percent of Republicans voted “Aye” versus 69 percent of Democrats.

Don’t feel bad if this is news to you. Democrats have done a good job in re-writing history about which political party supported civil rights, and still does, and which did not.

Drug Cartels Overrun Mexico’s Government, Economy

Mexico’s “war on drugs” isn’t working. The drug cartels not only are exporting more drugs, but are branching out to include minerals like oil and iron ore. What?

In 2008, Lazaro Cardenas handled only 1.5 percent of Mexico’s iron ore exports to China; by mid-2013, the seaport was shipping out nearly half.

Isn’t it time to re-think this whole war on drugs thing? Lifting the prohibition on marijuana, the single largest moneymaker for the cartels, would be the single biggest blow to the cartels than anything the corrupt Mexican government can do on its own. Mexico clearly has lost control of their government and economy. Decriminalizing marijuana would do a few desirable things. Make our own streets safer, relieve the burdens put on law enforcement, the court and correctional systems, and end the growing “spice” (artificial marijuana) industry.

Obama’s Heckler, Ju Hong, A Prop-ed Plant

No appearance President Obama makes is random or unscripted. Including this heckler , Ju Hong, who interrupted his speech on immigration in San Francisco on Monday. Hong shouted out because his family has been torn apart by U.S. immigration policy — and the administration has done nothing to help them. Don’t think for a second that the Secret Service did not know this guy’s “history of civil disobedience.”

The event fulfilled two goals. It set himself up as the bystander, void of responsibility, fighting for this, that, or the other. On this day it was amnesty, AKA comprehensive immigration reform. And a distraction from the Titanic-like Affordable Health Care act.

PRESBO sees his support, popularity, and TRUST going South in the polls because of Obamacare, because Americans are finally seeing him for the fraud that he is. What we’re seeing here is his publicist’s (Valerie Jarrett) attempt at stopping the bleeding in the best possible light.

The simple solution to the planted heckler keeping his family together is this. Keep your undocumented family together and take them with you back to South Korea. You could do well for yourself and them there with your U.S. taxpayer-paid college degree.
