Farid Khavari, Gubernatorial Candidate Coming To Gulf Breeze

Democrat candidate for Governor of the State of Florida Dr. Farid Khavari will be in the area next week. He will be speaking at the Fourth Annual Luau Gala in Gulf Breeze presented by the Santa Rosa County Democrats.

Do you care enough for Florida’s economy to support the only candidate with a plan that will generate jobs and opportunity, while lowering costs for every citizen in the state? Of course you do. Whether you’re a republican, or libertarian, never mind the D. He’s not a politician. He’s an economist. He’s not a teleprompter kind of guy.  His platform is what is important. And it is superior to all others of both parties.

  1. Not sure how I missed this, but for a very late reply to your question of how did you smear, if memory serves, you were implying no one was giving him recognition when I was promoting him on the Dem web site.
    .
My comment was civil and accurate. To imply it wasn’t is also smear.
    .
As far as my behavior, I’m guessing that comment had something to do with blocking you from commenting on the Dem web site when I ran it? I wasn’t interested in having to keep up with your baited questions and twisted comments. That was about your behavior in how you conduct political discourse, which I’m sure you think was completely appropriate.
    .
I found out at that meet and greet in Gulf Breeze that Khavari had switched to running as an Independent. I enjoyed meeting him and talking with him there and the few times on the phone that he and I talked. It was nice of the Santa Rosa County Dems to give him a Platform to speak considering he wasn’t a Democrat at that point. It was also nice meeting you.
    .
All that being said, baited questions and mis-framed political discussion that are used to imply things that are not true or accurate, hurt political discourse because they are manipulative and people end up voting for their pick for reasons that are not real, which IMO is how we ended up with Rick Scott. He campaigned in a style that manipulated voters into supporting him based in his claims about Alex Sink that weren’t true.
    .
We’ve ended up with a governor who represents his own economic interest at the expense of Floridians and now he and the GOP Legislature are trying to make it harder for the citizens of Florida to vote.
    .
People need accurate information about candidates in order to make an informed choice when they vote. Other wise we end up with politicians like Scott and other Corporatist.

  2. Well hello Henry Coe. So having a link on your website with a picture constitutes what exactly? That’s mighty big of you to put a link.

As for the News Journal. If you follow the link in that post, you will notice that there hasn’t been a word printed about Dr. Khavari. This, despite the fact that I personally have forwarded every press release that came from his campaign to the PNJ. So my post is not a smear, it is an observation of fact. If it looks to you that the PNJ may have been smeared, then I suppose its because they deserve it. I don’t know. Draw your own conclusions as to why the PNJ has not given him any press, even though he has visited the area before and is planning to do so again this weekend. Go figure.

And I don’t know how I could possibly be more accurate. I provide the link to the PNJ that is self-evident. And there is a date and time and location and somebody’s phone number. Even the prices, as were advertised in the News Journal and a link to that.

Mighty presumptuous of you to say that I made a smear that I ‘can’t back up.’ But if that makes you feel good about yourself then knock yourself out. Putting people down always gives Libs a rush. (no pun intended) Now if you feel you should apologize for that smear, I’ll gladly accept it.

From what I know of your behavior, and you know what I’m talking about, I’m not holding my breath. But there is no reason that one cannot behave in a civil manner here.

  3. Your home page says, “You’ll have to ask the Pensacola News Journal why you haven’t heard of him anywhere else locally but here.”
    .
That’s not true. Khavari’s picture and link to his web site has been posted on the http://www.escambiademocrats.org web site since around the time he file to run for Governor. Along with every Democrat that is running in that race.
    .
Just FYI I contacted them early on about keeping me informed and I just emailed them a minute ago about the Gulf Breeze visit so I can verify the information and if/when I get that, I will post the information on our web site. That visit is not posted on his web site.
    .
I appreciate your announcement, but you could be more accurate or not make smears that you can’t back up.

  4. Dr. Khavari is the man with the plan. We just need to get the word out about him before we are left with just Alex Sink and bill McCollum to vote for.
