Saudi Newspaper Columnist Could Face Death Penalty

More intolerance from the so-called religion of peace. That would be Islam. The place is Saudi Arabia. A reporter’s life is in jeopardy because he questioned something about the ‘Prophet Muhammad’ on what is believed to be his birthday. According to the article, ‘Insulting the prophet is considered blasphemy in Islam and is punishable by death in Saudi Arabia.’

The propensity for Muslims who decide they are offended in the name of the head of their faith to resort to murder is difficult to understand for someone who lives in a country where there still is religious freedom and freedom of thought, the press. As a matter of fact, in America, that freedom is guaranteed in writing.

There was plenty for Christians to be insulted about Sunday night at the Grammy Awards show. Although it was insulting to the faith and Christians, I doubt that Jesus was offended. He is above all that. He is forgiving. Chalk it up to a rebellious tramp that wants attention. She got it. And she is forgiven.

Are we to understand that the faith of the Prophet Muhammad is based on revenge and murder? It seems as though the people who want this kid killed feel an obligation to murder other people to advance their religion. Or at least their version of their religion. I’m not sure which it is. Maybe an Imam somewhere out there can explain it for us?

That there is no such thing as religious freedom in Saudi Arabia should be obvious from the subject of this story. Despite what Saudi Arabia CLAIMS.

  1. What? OK, if you are one and/or are offended by me using the word tramp to denigrate the actions of that silly girl getting attention by making a mockery of religion, then get over it. Apparently, you don’t read left-wing political sources. Go pick on them for name-calling.

I was looking for some input into the justification of possibly killing a journalist for writing something about a man from centuries ago who Muslims call their Prophet. He can be their prophet. But he isn’t mine. Insensitive? Get over that too. Have you seen any good be-headings lately? Have you seen Christians doing it? I’m guessing, the ones chopping off heads are not Christians.

Whether I consider myself a Christian is not the topic. But, I’ll say that I am one. I believe. I’m not perfect, same as you. But that’s not the topic either.

“Poor” is a relative term. There will always be ‘poor’ people. But they don’t have to stay that way. Compared to ‘poor’ in other countries, our ‘poor’ aren’t doing so bad. I have nothing against poor people. I’d like to see all ‘poor’ people get rich. Unfortunately, the guy in The White House is putting one obstacle after another in their way to getting ‘up the ladder.’ In fact, Obama doesn’t like that ladder going up. Based on his policies, he is attempting to make that ladder horizontal.

Now gentle reader, how about sticking to the topic?

Do you consider yourself a Christian? Calling her a tramp, I’m guessing not.

I’m sure you also realize that ‘tramps’ and those looked down on upon society were exactly then people that Jesus surrounded himself with. That, and the poor, another group you seem to look upon with disdain.
