Labor relations is the study and practice of managing unionized employment situations. In academia, labor relations is frequently a subarea within industrial relations, though scholars from many disciplines--including economics, sociology, history, law, and political science--also study labor unions and labor movements. In practice, labor relations is frequently a subarea within human resource management. Courses in labor relations typically cover labor history, labor law, union organizing, bargaining, contract administration, and important contemporary topics.'`^.

I went to the one in Pensacola a couple weeks ago. And compared to the one in January, the only difference was that the availability and prices were both better. Everyone had AR's and all at around the $1000 price point. Same situation in the local gun shops here in Pensacola.

Still good crowds attending. But still a shortage of ammo here. Ammo that was available was pricey.

Wellll......I went to the Ft Pierce Gun Show to look around. Not as many vendors as usual and the crowd was light. You could actually walk up and down the rows of tables. While looking, I came to a dead stop.

Comment on Square Inc. Joins Anti-Gun Hysteria Crowd by Ross

It's payment processing. They're not selling anything. But from their point of view, you may be right. It gives them an 'easy out' instead of saying that the've gotten "complaints" from people who are not their customers over their position on firearms, they can use the 'limiting our liability' excuse.

I don't think it is as much a political statement as it is them succumbing to pressure from the anti-gun zealots. That's what the anti-gun crowd does.

Square can conduct their business as they wish, and business owners can do likewise. For me, I'll take my business elsewhere and choose another processor that has the balls to stand up to the anti-gun crowd. I support the 2A as I wish. Square can do whatever they want. I'm just letting folks know what's going on.

And, btw, thank you for jumping in and offering your comment. Much appreciated.

I use Stripe for online payment processing. It's a fantastic service that was easy to integrate. However, they also have "weapons and munitions" in their laundry list of 55 prohibited activities.

"Prohibited Businesses
By registering for Stripe, you are confirming that you will not use the Service to accept payments in connection with the following businesses, business activities or business practices:
...(47) online or other non-face-to-face tobacco or e-cigarette sales, (48) weapons and munitions (49) virtual currency that can be monetized, re-sold or converted to physical or digital goods or services or otherwise exit the virtual world..."

I'm not convinced it is a political statement. I think they are just trying to limit liability. Payment processing is an extremely tough business to enter. The entrenched powers don't want competition and they have a lot of pull.

There was a time in our history when "the public by a significant margin" was in favor of slavery. But this nation is a nation of laws and the Constitution is the foundation for them. Sucks to be a dictator (and lemming of one) limited by it.

I'm in favor of background checks, the NRA is in favor of background checks. Current law requires background checks. The emotional appeal to expand them is useless unless and until the current laws in place are enforced. Not enforcing them, like those who falsify the purchase application (form 4473), only serves make the nation a more dangerous place. It also serves as emotional fodder for the "need" for more laws, which can be argued as the reason why the Obama Justice Department won't enforce the ones we already have.

For example: Out of more than 15,700 fugitives and felons who tried to illegally purchase a firearm, the Obama Justice Department prosecuted only 44.

Those bills died because they won't curb or stop the violence they are "intended" to stop. (logic, not emotion) I fully expect Obama to come across with executive orders now, in light of this defeat. Feeling restrained by the Constitution, or "charter of negative rights" as he calls it, will bring out the "Chavez" in him.

Your typical liberal sign-off, the name calling, is appreciated. Confirms that you have no argument to make. Only liberal frustration. Glad to have added to it.
