World Goes Wuss On Geneva Conventions

Even the cave dwellers in Afghanistan and Pakistan saw the world reaction alleging Geneva Convention violations to the terrorists, who btw are not covered by the Geneva Convention, when they landed in Club Gitmo, the Guantanamo Bay prison.  For the last few days we’ve witnessed bonafide GC violations when Great Britain’s soldiers, our allies in the war on terror, were filmed reading propaganda and wearing costumes not part of their uniform, like the scarf and tablecloth they made the female captive wear.

An image taken from Iranian television Friday March 30, 2007 showing three British service personnel, at left a serviceman whose name was given in Farsi as Nathan Thomas Summers, Faye Turney, 26, the only woman amongst the British navy personnel, centre, and a man believed to be Adam Sperry, some of the British personnel being held captive by Iran. A newscaster earlier on Al-Alam television said the taped confession would show a British marine explaining how he and his colleagues entered Iranian waters 'in an illegal way.' (AP Photo/APTN) Have you heard ONE objection about this yet?   Seen any demonstrators in the streets demanding Iran stop doing it?  I checked the New York Times.  There is not a word fit to print on this subject I guess.  And what about the usual cadre of Geneva Convention cheerleaders, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, John Murtha, John Kerry, and Mrs. Bill Clinton?

Proof positive that all that made-up crap was done for only one purpose, to harm  the Bush administration, and as an added plus, this country and the war on terror, for purely political purposes.

U.N. Wants New Resolution On Iran

It’s deja vu all over again.  I’m not sure where the count is on the number of U.N. resolutions that have been ignored by Iran and not enforced by the UN, but true to form, the UN is calling for yet another as Iran ignores the previous resolutions to halt the enrichment of uranium.

During a conference call on Saturday, the diplomats decided that Security Council ambassadors should take over the discussion of elements for a new resolution . . .

Wang said there was no draft resolution yet, only “ideas and elements,” but he thought it would involve another 60-day deadline.

There is a consensus to adopt ‘incremental’ sanctions.  Iran can expect years of incremental-ism and negotiations.  More and more negotiations, to come up with more and more resolutions, plays into the hands of Ahmadinejad by giving him the time he needs to develop a nuclear weapon.  Enriched uranium is not required to make electricity.  It is required to make a nuclear bomb however.

Anti-War Dems Revise The Revision

On the verge of kicking and screaming, Democrat leaders revise their opposition to the commander-in-chief, for the third time in a week.

House Democratic leaders are developing an anti-war proposal that wouldn’t cut off money for U.S. troops in Iraq but would require President Bush to acknowledge problems with an overburdened military.

Time for a flash poll.  All those who are happy with the war raise your hand!  I don’t see any hands.

OK, so war isn’t a fun thing to do.  Like it or not, the Islamic terrorists have declared war on us and on the rest of the world that does not share their insane views of world domination of Islam.  For them, this is a religious war.

Today, March 1, 2007, Democrat party leaders now feel it is more important to get the President to say, to admit, that there are problems with the war rather than get together to win it.  To expect a war to be without problems is to be in some alternate reality like the Twilight Zone. But that is the Democratic Party today. But what is worse than that, is how much more dangerous a place this country and the world will be by inaction or retreat in this war.

And For Our Next Trick

The headline reads ‘Dems split over Iraq plan details.’  Why, how could that be?  Since the election last November, democrat leaders claimed a mandate to end the war.  Not win it, just end it.  Well, it seems there is some concern for their political ass now, which should be indicative of which is more important to them; the security of our country or the security of their political party.

Dems Need Defeat, Cannot Survive Victory

Democrats’ ‘slow bleed’ policy isn’t neocon rhetoric.  It is their plan that will insure defeat in Iraq.  The Democrat party leaders are beyond the point of no return where Iraq is concerned.  They are so invested in defeat now that they cannot politically survive a victory.

Determined to challenge President Bush, Senate Democrats are drafting legislation to limit the mission of U.S. troops in Iraq, effectively revoking the broad authority Congress granted in 2002, officials said Thursday.

Air America’s Golden Years

Great news.  The sale of Air America Radio was approved, for $4.2 million.  Investors, like Mike Papantonio, who is also co-host of an AAR program called Ring of Fire, will get one cent on the dollar in the deal.

In case you haven’t heard, they had declared bankruptcy.   The free-market works.  For evidence on just why their rabid-radio style did not sell, here’s a sample from their website.

Ya, and these are the same people the current Democrat leadership not only listen to, but are guided by.

Republicans Bucking Bush

Below is the list of Republicans that voted with the majority to rebuke the President’s plan to win the Iraq war.  Names to remember come election time.

Michael Castle (DE), Ric Keller (FL), Timothy Johnson (IL), Mark Kirk (IL), Fred Upton (MI), Jim Ramstad (MN), Wayne Gilchrest (MD), Howard Coble (NC), Walter Jones (NC), James Walsh (NY), Steven La Tourette (OH), Philip English (PA), Bob Inglis (SC), John Duncan (TN), Ron Paul (TX), Thomas Davis (VA), and Thomas Petri (WI).

GOP Bloggers calls them, appropriately, White Flag Republicans.

Dems’ Resolution, Forked Tongue, Forked Logic

The TV show ’24’ has raised the hairs on the backs of some libs. Their problem is they watch too much TV.  Anyway, they claim that the show is a bad influence on our troops in the war on terror. They are claiming that the show will influence our troops to commit torture, like the lead character in the show, Jack Bauer. Yeah right.

At the same time, the left steadfastly and indignantly also claims that the ‘non-binding’ anti-surge resolution against the war effort, which is not a fictional TV show,  is supporting our troops, and is not a negative influence on the morale and efforts of our volunteer military.
