Hang Tough, Campaign Noise On The Rise

In the closing days of the mid-term elections (and for weeks preceding) there will be no discussion on the issues that Americans care about. Nothing of substance from Democrats, the legacy media, and other supporters of the Left.

Bereft of anything positive to run on, what you will hear instead is she’s a bitch, a witch, and a whore. Have you noticed the vile attacks on conservative women lately? Well, I take that back. Have you noticed the attacks on conservative women since Sarah Palin in the 2008 presidential campaign?

Then there’s Obama himself explaining that half the country is just too scared to see what a great president he is. What? They have a reason to be scared, but their solution is based solidly on the fact that they don’t like where Obama is taking this country. And Obama isn’t taking ‘no’ for an answer.

Then there’s the race card being played by the race-baiter in chief, our President, the post racial President by the way, telling his political adversaries to get in the back of the proverbial bus in using his lame metaphor of a car that he’s been driving for the last 22 months. That Democrats are playing the race card during an election is not new. It’s on page one of their play book. But for the President of the United States to do it is quite another thing.

And what’s the media’s take on all this? The answer lies in all the stories about the policy differences. Nancy Pelosi, we will not increase the debt. The lies Obama told us when he was selling Obamacare, then shoved it down America’s throat.  You can keep your doctor, your policy, your costs will go down. Any of that true? All that while creating jobs was his top priority.

Now there are reports of voter fraud coming from all over the place. Oh how well he trained ACORN back in the 90′s.

No, there will be no useful discussion about why you should vote for anybody. Right now the country is focused on stopping Obama from transforming America in the image of Europe. And the Democrats are focused on name calling and dividing us on racial lines. The media doesn’t see that either.

November 2 isn’t the end. November 2 will only be the beginning. So hang tough.

Obama Appointing Gay Officials

Offering more than just lip service this time, President Obama has made what is described as a ‘record number’ appointments from the gay community to various jobs in the administration.

In his last push to round-up those he has disaffected in his short tenure as President, making these appointments probably have nothing to do with an upcoming election where every vote counts.

One can only hope that some of them have a clue about free-market economics and creating jobs in the private sector. His record so far is not good.

Redistricting Works Both Ways

Much to the chagrin of Big Labor and Big Law, and the ACLU, one of the responsibilities that goes with the majority party is keeping your districts properly represented in Congress. At least once every 10 years.

While most of the attention in next week’s midterm elections is focused on races for Congress and governor, results in scores of local, down-ticket races carry far-reaching implications, likely to dilute Democrats’ dominance in the once-every-10-years redrawing of political district boundaries for the U.S. House.

No Enthusiasm Gap Shrink In Florida

Washington reporter Jamie Dupree looks at early voting results in states where it exists.

In Florida, almost 800,000 votes are already in, and when you look at the party breakdown, you see that 52.8% of the ballots are in from Republicans to 33.7% for Democrats.

That the ‘enthusiasm gap’ we’ve been hearing about is lessening seems to be more imagined (by the Left and the media) than real.

NAACP: Wear Our Chains, Not Theirs

The NAACP has been down this road before. So has the President and his advisors. So has Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. But the more dire the political future looks for the Democrat(ic) Party in the upcoming mid-term election, the more we’re going to see the worst in them and their supporters like the NAACP.

Now the NAACP leaps into action and puts out the call for all black Americans to get back on their plantation with the accusation that Tea Party supporters, over half the nation, are racists. Get out there and vote for the Democrats. Keeping their power is that important to them. What they’re not saying is wear our chains, not theirs. The way this party and this group continually use the race card to obfuscate the real issues is disgraceful. Taking blacks for granted and treating them like mind-numb robots is even worse.

David Almasi of the Project 21 Black Leadership Network calls out the NAACP’s fraudulent accusations . . .

“Looking at the research that comprises this report, I find it interesting that it appears not a single leader of the mentioned tea party groups was asked for its background,” noted Project 21 member Coby Dillard, a co-founder of the Hampton Roads Tea Party in Virginia. “Had this research been conducted, the facts would show that two of the mentioned groups are simply capitalizing from the tea party movement and that two others are for-profit enterprises. I fail to see, just as I did this summer when their resolution was voted on, how this report ‘advances’ black Americans or those of any color. The longer the NAACP stays on this path, the more they show themselves unable to provide solutions to the issues most Americans care about.”

But don’t worry about the heightened racial tension the NAACP is fomenting. President Obama said that his administration was going to be post-racial. I guess that means we will see him on the network news tonight denouncing the NAACP for their ridiculous accusations. Or, maybe not.

China Putting Mineral Embargo On The West

Have you heard? Probably not. Sad thing is, the President and the State Department probably haven’t heard either. Either that, or they don’t have the time to spend on national security and ‘our image around the world’ when the President is on the campaign trail. And where is our Secretary of State on this?

China, which has been blocking shipments of crucial minerals to Japan for the last month, has now quietly halted some shipments of those materials to the United States and Europe, three industry officials said this week.

That President Obama is so focused on political expediency to the detriment of his constitutional duties, qualifies as a dereliction of duty. Then again, he prioritizes as a community organizer would, not as a president should.

Are you feeling more secure now?

New York Gubernatorial Candidates Debate

The fringe candidates provided the most entertainment.  There was Jimmy McMillan of the Rent is 2 Damn High Party. But Kristin Davis, the Anti-Prohibition Party candidate was especially interesting. Her platform is the legalization of marijuana, prostitution, and gay marriage.

You may recall, Kristin Davis was the madam who did business with married client number 9, then governor Elliot Spitzer and now a TV host for a show on CNN. Now she is running for Governor of the State of New York. Among her greatest hits at the debate was this . . .

“The career politicians in Albany are the biggest whores in this state. I might be the only person sitting on this podium qualified to deal with them.”

10.2.10 One Nation Working Together Report

Any questions where most Americans stand?

As best I can determine, having missed the big event, the 10.2.10 One Nation Working Together march on Washington was about as I expected it would be. A gathering of labor unions, socialists, statists, communists, and progressives that don’t like America very much. They’re angry at Obama for not fundamentally changing America already, like he promised. And they’re really angry that the political winds seem to be blowing Right.

Mike Papantonio’s version of what it was all about was that they (progressives) have to get their lemmings out to vote else they’ll be subject to more freedom and liberty for at least the next ten years or so. No big secret that the union’s stake in this is their unsustainable pension plans that they want the taxpayers to pay for by whatever means necessary.

Another account of the One Nation show was that they met there with no specific purpose in mind other than to hawk their own special interest, and to protest for the sake of protesting. Yes Virginia, the 60′s wannabes are among us. If they only had a cause that most Americans cared about.

Dumb and dumber came together on Saturday for the “One Nation Working Together” march on Washington, D.C. The liberal group of union members, migrant farm workers, NAACP members and gay rights advocates seemingly had no one agenda, other than, well protesting.

Update: After publishing their list of sponsors on their website, now that the event has passed, the One Nation Working Together website has scrubbed the list of sponsors, putting up an abbreviated list instead. Why would they do that? Aren’t they proud of the fringe wackos that supported them?

Conduct Unbecoming A President

Barack Obama, as a candidate, promised to be THE ONE that would unite the country. His administration would be post-partisan and post-racial, he said. It has actually been anything but.

On the never-ending campaign trail, and desperate to reverse the trend that the polls are showing before November 2, President Obama does what he and his party know best. He drops the race card.

Last week, at a rally in Philadelphia, our president said of Republicans . . .

They’re counting on young people staying home and union members staying home and black folks staying home.

Mychal Massie, chairman of the Project 21 black leadership network, says President Obama’s recent playing of the race card is inappropriate for a President and for someone who has publicly professed a desire for a post-racial America.

“Obama’s comments further calcify his commonality, lack of couth, lack of propriety and unworthiness to be president,” said Project 21′s Massie. “Never in the history of this nation has there been a president who so perfectly lacked even the most basic qualifications and social skills pursuant to the office he holds.”
