Then there was only one camera position, but that's better than nothing. As to why they don't do it every year is probably just a matter of money. WPHL seems to be the only media outlet interested in covering the Mummers, and they've tried different methods each year for the past several years. Each year trying to overcome problems incurred from the previous year. They deserve a BIG 'thank you' for making the effort to bring the Mummers to us folks outside of the Philadelphia TV market. If they can figure out a way to make it a subscription webcast, I bet they'd have enough money to do it right. I know I'd gladly pay 5, 10 or 20 bucks to see it down here in Florida.
