I thought the candidates did a good job overall of balancing what’s acceptable to their base and their desire to not sound nutty. The best moment was Hillary telling Edwards that we did face a threat from terrorism. The worst moment occurred seconds before when Edwards actually said that Bush exaggerated the terrorist threat so that he could torture people.
